Thats exactly what I thought
+I'm dead on the Inside. you guys 😂😂😂
and that grass also had the privilege of being stepped by Kendrick's Reeboks
Lol
It’s funny Kendrick says he’s the biggest kid of them all because you can see it when he talks about music. He gets this twinkle in his eye and this smile on his face like he’s just so happy and full of curiosity just like a kid would be. He has an unmistakable wariness to him that makes you wanna engage with him. Such a layered guy. One of my favorite artists of all time
Right?! His smiling when talking about how he learned about jazz...just electric!!
I was JUST about to do homework...
hahaha woooord
lol FACTS.
lol same dude i have 2 tests tomorrow...
I have a Project submission and test tomorrow, I haven't even started studying for the test. and am writing in less than 20 hours
Here in the computer lab needing to write a paper but watching this instead lol
I wonder if Kendrick said in his head "I GOT LOYALTY GOT ROYALTY INSIDE MY DNA" every time he said the word "DNA" in this interview.
Anthony Hernandez my head every time he say DNA. I got I got I got

For all those people saying he is overrated aren’t really understanding that it’s a person with a real life story behind his lyrics.

You know you're the GOAT when Rick Rubin interviews you...
lol 2pac > all
Kigoz4Life Pac is the greatest but Kendrick will be right up there with him
way to earlier to say that
Lol he's ask for it
2 pac is too overrated at this point
Ricks questions are impeccable, he needs to interview all of the greats!
Like Minded Criminals and they’re off the top of his head. He’s immensely intellectual and Kendrick only heightens it and vice versa
If it wasn't for Rick Rubin there wouldn't even BE any rap! No Rick no Def Jam or Cool J. No Def Jam no NWA and DR. No Dre, no Kendrick
He might end up exposing them
@@NQuiz52 false

I need a Kendrick and Rick Rubin podcast, there's a lot of wisdom and eloquence in these two

I think that's what this video is, yeah?
@@erikgriswold5273 a video is not a podcast, yeah?
😍😍 Kendrick is so amazingly humble. So talented. My son introduced his music to me, when he was in high school. I was in my 40’s and I love his music, and love him as person.
Kendrick has not one fake part about him that's what amazes me about him.
Most Gemini's do
lady bug lol don’t start with that astrology. Kdot isn’t real because of when he was born. He’s real because of the environment he grew up in and his parents and mentors. People that have lived through real hardships like him tend to be very real
lady bug I bet you choose people you wanna date by their sign..
Agree, but actually weird that it is like so common now that people have some kind of fakeness that it amazes us that he's not...
Should be the other way around actually ;')
He will not stop talking about himself tho.
They both rock hard
I thought I was gonna watch Rick Rubin interview K. Dot, instead I got 2 scholars discuss hip-hop in theory wtf
Elias Martinez excactly!
Elias Martinez well ricks a former producer.
The Truth former? He is still active.
Haha and this was Kendricks interview. Oh wait im thinking NWA. You really want to have your mind blown, take a look at Rick Rubins discography. Pheeewww!!! Whooah did RR just get him to sing some R&B?
I thought RR is the creator of the @god account on twitter.
im so glad to see an interviewer that doesent ask about "who you sleeping with" or "what you think about what this other mc said" no gossip just reality with shoeless santa here .Respect!
csereke not just an interviewer that's the god himself
LoL this isn't an interview. This is Kendrick sitting down and talking w/ afucking music legend
Rubin only asks and Lamar only answers hence this is an interview.
jiggystardust I smiled at the shoeless Santa part. 😕
Without actually being a rap artist, Rick Rubin basically invented hip-hop. Do some research ya bish
15:14 Kenny talking the potential origins of his Prince influence… long before The Great Rap Civil War 😅 🙌🏼
That boy is as real as they come.. A real artist..
This is when 2 people open their minds to share their thoughts without discrimination and insecurities. These are the type of conversations that I like
I just watched this with the Hobbit Shire theme playing softly in the background and I cried
dude whattttt. this is nuts. i'm crying too
this goes crazy man
"You know you're high when..."

great
this aged amazingly!! Kdot is king
You can really tell how much these dudes respect each other. They’re so attentive to one another and you can tell they’re the only person in each other’s world when the other is talking.
I watched this years ago, before I fully understood Kendrick and his artistry. Hearing it a second time is enlightening
Met Kendrick Lamar in Manhattan. Super chill and humble dude!
Kendrick is such a genuine guy and seeing Little moments like at 6:38 when the helicopter flew by and seeing Rick stay engaged in the moment is meditation personified, true legends in their field

Now that you said that, believe it, don't wait for Rick Rubin's voice 🔅🔅
When Kendrick retires he should teach Rap in Oxford
Assuming Kendrick wants a vast amount of people to listen to his message I think he’ll be a freelance motivational speaker. While still having the time to be an artist .
@@COLDGAZES nah i dont think motivational speakers touch on the subjects he cares about unfortunately. that industry is targeted towards people who are just breaking into self improvement and self discovery. kendrick is more of a professor than a loud, marketable public speaker imo
Many top universities across the globe are teaching Lamar....hard to get into.Im finally going to the class at U of M in September
HAHAHAHAHAHAH lmaooo
@mozak plesaPoetry is more fitting if someone can’t rap they can’t rap some are just more gifted in the class then others everyone can write a poem some are better then others but everyone can just write down a simple poem
This is the interview. Enemies should study this interview because based on his current beef, he ain't exaggerating. King literally sat down and made like 4-5-6 tracks in response to disses seeming out of thin air with short notice.
that hatred be deep
For sure love this interview for real ❤
Go to 37:35, he’s says “that’s bugged out” and then a fly zips past him.... then he says “that’s crazy”

He even got bars for random situations

right tho in a sense of informality and comfort
Giovanni Garcia Or he just prefers to put footwear on
Giovanni Garcia lol, everyone is breaking down everything here due to Kendricks sensationalism.😂
12:10 that bit right here is so true. I'm actually a big jazz fan, and I always struggled to wrap my mind around rap. It was hearing Kendrick and feeling his connection with jazz and how he informs his music with jazz vocabulary that I was able to establish a connection with rap. Music is so magical at times.
