A guide on how to race on the most recent track surface for RC. I run Schumacher cactus in the rear and staggered in the front. Patreon: www.patreon.com/RoachRC?fan_l...
Honestly, I'm starting to warm up a bit to astro, provided it's the less grippy stuff where the car behaves like it's on super low-cut grass, rather than "carpet but less carpety" turf. That being said, if I were to design and build an astro track, I'm going to make it lumpy and gnarled to simulate a blown-out surface. I still want to see RCP foam track tiles given a try for larger scales. I've had some experience using it with 1/18th scale and it kinda behaves like really grippy hard pack.
I'm building a track right now and sourcing turf locally here in Florida. Is this track made with putting green turf? I have access to both the short pile putting green stuff as well as slightly longer field turf. I've never run on turf but it seems awesome and it's honestly my only option here. What do you think I should use?
i donmt get why its so hard to maintain dirt? Ive never got why it needs tp be so packed or any of that id be ok running on a dusty loose track and it would be more interesting imo.
There's a few different reasons. I go over it better in my "Evolution of RC Tracks" video but long short of it is that 10th scale racers want a consistent for the most part.
I liked the random stock photo very funny big guy.
I aint finna pay for that. :)
Looking forward to watching your future videos!!
Great looking track
We don’t have anything like this near us ...
Awesome dude
We race on Astro and 99% of UK out door tracks use this now

It's the type of turf what doesn't have any rubber fill I'm pretty sure, been a while since this track closed down.
What tires or on the 1min35 car ?
Schumacher Blocks
5:00 red car. Didn't know some races allow you to use reverse? At my local track races esc has to be on forward/brake setting only. 🤔
lol. football field.. or a football field.
Is it a difference and or can I run on turf with infill !?🤔 and does it matter if it’s old soccer turf or not appreciate it🤝
It has to be turf without infil I believe
AJC in Georgia?
Yes

@@Kamisori It's a lot of fun. Next practice is Tuesday all day.
“Try not to over jump jumps” try’s to jump over you and takes your cover and tire off lol
