In this video I want to FINALLY introduce you to Walt, my 1977 Ford F100. I thought this video was the perfect way to kick off 2022! I had been looking for a vintage Ford truck for so long as it had to be perfect - which meant, not perfect. I LOVE the patina, the imperfections, the wear, the smell and more than anything, going through the process of restoring a vintage truck. An old Ford truck like this represents some great memories for me and was the reason I wanted one so badly - to bring me back. Welcome back folks, 2022 is going to be WILD - buckle up ;).

My Granddaddy’s name was Willard. He was a Delta Airlines mechanic who drove a ‘73 Ford F-Series. It was alabaster white and it smelled like the garage: Dirt, oil, grass clippings, gasoline, and leather work gloves. It was a three on the tree with no power steering. I almost ran it off the road the first time trying to drive it 😬
That truck was the family utility truck that my Dad and Grandad used for endless projects.
I have lost both my Dad and Granddad and I get this video so much. I want an F-Series like Walt to be able to have the same feeling. To roll down the windows and hear and feel the rumble of the engine and to feel lost in such wonderful memories.
Thank you Pete. This video means the world to me. 🙌❤️‍🩹

such a great story. I can relate to it a little bit. My dad bought a 2010 Jeep Wrangler back in 2010 off the lot, and he got a truck last summer and I told him i want to keep the jeep and pass it down to my kids when i have them. I think the bond between a son and a father or grand father is the best relationship any boy could have so I want to keep his Jeep to remember all of the memories that had and will continue to have with my dad

This made my day. What a great story. And that’s what makes old trucks so cool. They all have stories to tell. My old F150, dubbed Fordinand, has his issues but the whole family has gotten involved with bringing it to life. Kids climbing all over, rust and grease all over us after every job etc. But already the memories are piling up. Camping, bike trips, tailgating, chores, you name it. Fordinand does it all. Great film. Keep on truckin Walt 🤘🏻❤️

This one literally brought chills to my spine and tears to my eyes. My father passed away last year of cancer. From my youngest years I spent hour in his shop building classic cars with him. I was what I called the curator of his collection as he rarely drove the vehicles he built. I have a few of his vehicles still including the 1938 Dodge truck which was the last vehicle we built together. I take every chance to drive these vehicle now that I can. Hopefully dad gets a chance to meet up with Walt for a coffee and talk trucks.

This spoke to me. I did something very similar after my grandfather passed away a few years ago. He had hiked most of the Appalachian Trail in his retirement and one of my favorite photos of him is him standing at an overlook somewhere - looking like an absolute boss. A little digging and I was able to find the spot , hike to the location, and stand exactly where he stood to recreate the photo. Very meaningful experience.

I used to have a ‘76 F100. Then I had an ‘85 F150. Great trucks. I’m from Stayner so trucks were everywhere in that town.

You did it again. A movie right to the heart. Honestly I don’t know anybody who’s better in story telling and getting such emotional messages across. Thanks for being such a huge inspiration Pete!

Absolutely love the story Pete! 😃 Find it so inspiring to cherish old memories and even older things in life that we seem to moving past, such as this vintage Ford. Great composition of music, and crispy voice over! Keep flying the flag brother! Love from South Africa 🤓

Peter, I just want to say how impressed I am day in and day out watching your videos. Your channel, along with a few others, has inspired me to create my own channel and talk about life. I look forward to learning more as I grow in this process, and I will continue to watch your videos to try and absorb as much as I can from you.

My dad had the same model and color truck when I was growing up. So many fun memories with it.

The best choice of Pete I appreciate that he never shows the faces of his kids.
Let them choose in … years if they want instead of choosing for them. Respect.
Great short film! Congrats with the experience!
