Most of these camps have wood stoves. He can move from cabin to cabin on small snowmobile trails. He has the weather on his side and food and water all around him to survive.
The other problem is empty homes. You can assume they’re empty, but you don’t know if they’re empty or not. You could literally find an abandoned home, take up residence, live there for years and no one would even know. A lot of homes near ski mountains are all locked up right now until the ski season begins.
They need to be sending helicopters with thermal at night to pick up heat signatures in the cabins along the snowmobile trails.
If he has another vehicle he could be going the other way on back roads deceiving law enforcement making them think he’s in the woods, instead heading to Florida or the west coast.

Maine has more armed citizens than any other state yet it is one of the most peaceful. This shooting is unheard of here in Maine. Janet Mills and the Democrat party will try and use this to pass more gun laws, when it is the shooter that is the issue. This guy needed help but didnt get it. Maine needs to do a better job when it comes to treating people like this shooter. No matter what problems he may have had he must be held accountable for his actions. Maine does not have the death penalty, but he can get natural life. We pray for the families of the victims. May God comfort and bless these poor families. Let us not make this about guns but about getting people like this shooter off the streets and into some form of treatment.

Our "leaders" are Congress. The President is a show horse.
If you want changes then make a push in your state against career politicians and consider their age.
Enough voting for the same people every year because of party loyalty.

What’s making difficult? He is military guy with plan & its execution in military style. He is from that area born & live there all his life, knows every tree & stone. He has missing boat with water, food, shelter, petroleum & can be anywhere by now if he is still alive. Notes he left can be part of his plan to divert or if it’s “real” he is dead somewhere but why would he go through all this trouble/plan/escape if he wanted to kill himself? People who want to kill themselves, killing themselves without going through elaborate plans to escape or hide other than doing it in seclusion. Either he is dead by now or he had a better plan to escape.

What makes it so difficult to locate any suspect running from the law is the law doesn't know where they are or which way they escaped! It's really pretty simple to understand, if you just think about it!

You know, the one where the officer shot up the base and had posted it was in retaliation for US abuse of Islamic countries and that he was a member of a terror organization that he communicated with via email but the FBI claimed it was "workplace violence".
