I don't have any upgraded throttle body, but eventually I will. When I do, I will not be using the overpriced apr throttle body. But I will definitely have a video for it.

I ordered my software as was able to add Car Play/Android Auto to my 2016 A7 Prestige. The process took about 2 hours to complete. I just left my car running during the updates vs purchasing a battery charger/conditioner. The instructions provided by TheNavMan (Ben Weaver) were absolutely fantastic. Any other site stated that my car does not support Android Auto, but the tech that TheNavMan has setup for our cars is magical. Appreciate you sharing this video as I would not have found this solution if I had not watched your videos.
Same here with my 2016 a7. It had to do one of the updates 3x to get it past an error updating it but it finished and works fine and great. Got wireless CarPlay too but I actually prefer running it wired and only use it on long trips where I need nav. Otherwise it’s easier to use Bluetooth audio to be able to switch around in the MMi without it being weird to get back to CarPlay.
I have a 2016 S6 (C7.5) and ordered the SW based on this video and other recommendations. It took awhile, but it works! I now have Apple CarPlay and current maps. Very happy! Customer support was great. Thank you Ben.

Updated this past Sunday and CarPlay has been flawless on my C7.5. I’m very satisfied with how this turned out. It took me about 3 hours only because I kept reading and rereading the instructions but overall I highly recommend this product!

I done the same upgrade but from another guy krzysztof for a a6 c7 page. I was about 50mins on the first one and a hour fornthe maps, there was another option for Google earth that gives you street view etc. Audi stopped there deal with Google so have to do it via a 3rd party server like these guys. And like this guy says 1/4 of what audi wants. Loads of extras on the maps like the speed of the roads etc. Good video mate explained well and if the instructions followed properly and no battery drain will work ok
Just an FYI, if you have the USB adapter you can use USB Thumb drives the same as the SD Cards (if you opted to download the files rather than have them sent to you in the mail). Just did mine and it worked smoothly.
I did this update awhile back for the CarPlay. Ben had really good instructions and everything happened as the instructions said it would. Update works well. I have had an issue twice where the carplay doesn't want to connect. But a reset of the car seems to fix it. Otherwise very happy with the investment. Mine took about 2 hours to finish. Thank goodness for the battery maintainer. Great video!
It's a piece of equipment that maintains a charge on your battery while your are using the battery to perform electrical functions without the engine being on (which would keep the alternator running) Otherwise you would drain your battery.
Thank you for the information and video. I purchased the software & navigation updates and it worked perfectly!! It took me one hour and 30 minutes for my A7...worth it. Thanks again...thought I was going to have to pay those dealership prices.
Glad I found your vid. Great demo on the install and I pulled the trigger and purchased an update bundle from thenavman for my C7.5. Followed all instructions and it loaded with no issues. Price was reasonable vs dealer for sure.

JUST finished my updates on my B8.5 S4! My instructions were JUST like yours EXCEPT I have installed the RSNAV on my car so I had to contact Ben for some assistance, but he was able to walk me through the slight tweaks I needed to do in order to complete everything else!
Great video and thank you! Question - I have a 2016 A6 Prestige with 177K miles. Audi is telling me I need to replace the MMI to solve some nagging issues. 1. Drivers side heated seats don't work. 2. HomeLink buttons no longer work. 3. Backup camera doesn't work. 4. Problems connecting to wireless occasionally. Do these sound like an MMI problem? Everything works other than those I mentioned. I'm wondering if an update would fix theses instead of a complete replacement. Your help is appreciated.

Quick question. Does the installation affect the original backup camera and parking sensor? My 2016 A7 has a parking sensor button that when pressed, it will enable backup camera and parking sensor and the backup camera will take control of the LCD.
I never though finding and installing maps to my standard non facelift audi a6 2014 with version of MMI being RMC could get so difficult. I cannot find or install any maps .... help?

Great vids. After doing the MIB update, the summary says launcher "OK" and "-" for everything else. I reboot, but I'm not getting the GEM when I press the button sequence. It's the same sequence I'm using to get to the REM. The instructions say follow the same sequence but I'm only getting the REM. Any help would be appreciated
Yes. You have the 4G MMI. If you are unsure which option on his website to pick, send him a DM or Email with a picture of your current software version & e will tell you exactly what you need.

I've had my 2015 Audi A6 (c7)..{guess it's not a 7.5 } (manufactured date 9/2014-per sticker in door) updated to allow me to open my windows and Sunroof remotely, and I can close them remotely. If I update my firmware and Maps, will this change that coding, effectively removing that?
I wonder if there is a way to transplant the newer MMI into a pre-facelift A6. It's either that, buy a different screen that's kind of like an Android tablet, or also a full replacement with RSNav.

Another great video! I’ve been interested in this for a while and I was considering RSNAV S4 with 3D birds eye view, but I may do this for the time being instead. On another note, I did my passenger side motor mount yesterday. I still need to do my driver’s side. Any tips for the driver’s side?
@@AudiC7Owners Replaced both my mounts about a week ago. I did NOT drop my sub frame but instead removed the oil cooler and AC pump. The hardest part was the oil cooler, you cannot see 3 of the bolts. I used a ratcheting 1/4" wrench to connect to a 3/8" to 1/4" socket adaptor which connected to my torx/tripple square bit. I felt with my fingers to find and then insert into the bolt head. Very tedious. BUT It is possible. Also best tip was to put them back in, I used super glue to glue the bolt to the bit then I could line the bolt into the (unseen) bold hole and start the threading process without loosing the small 1" long bolt. Super glue is easy to break the bond after you have it nice and snug to remove the bit. That definitely saved me some hassle. Hope this helps.
I did this using bens files, my Bose system hasn’t worked since, I get sound but the amp doesn’t seem to be working. Was fine till the update. Apparently it’s common knowledge on the c7 Facebook site that his files screw it up. There’s been loads had to pay to have there software all reset and re loaded using the etis system
I'm the admin for the C7 Facebook group and I've never seen anyone complain about his files doing anything other than what is intended. The only issues I've seen are from people not following the directions correctly.
@@AudiC7Owners yes because you lot delete any posts about it but it’s well known on the site by people with the proper equipment to totally reprogram the mmi again. They’ve repaired a good few now, but you lot always delete any posts about it. I actually have messages in my messenger about it with people who’s put it right. You can’t get the update wrong unless your stupid, The updates he sends was a mess up, he might have sorted it now but you know exactly what I’m on about

I would like to ask if you know which of the folders from MMI update package contains or is responsible for the displayed languages? I did this the other day and everything works EXCEPT I now have no control over the audio treble, subwoofer, can't select where the speakers are coming from. Ben is telling me this is not accessible when plugged in via android auto or apple car play, however it SHOULD be accessible if disconnected which for me is still not the case.

@@exoinky1293 There is a auxilary coolant pump behind the firewall but this usually causes the HEAT to only blow warm on one side. For A/C...you may just need a recharge. If it's one of the flaps/valves then the code would appear in VCDS scan
depending on your system it does update elements of the Bluetooth software. Issues such as connectivity delays, audio dropouts and device compatibility improvements
audio module updates would require paramaterisation again with dealer level diagnostics and there is no need to update the sound systems in 99% of cases.
***Sept 2024 Update*** - It appears that the Navman website is completely down. I'll leave this video up as a guide for people.

I do not have the "Race" mode on my settings. Did yours come with that or was it part of the flash?
Audi brake guard and cruise control doesn’t work, will OBD11 be able to figure out what’s wrong with those things?
Unrelated to this video but yes it will show you any faults existing on the vehicle
It will show you fault codes, but honestly they are very hard to diagnose. I'd suggest taking the car to a shop that has the ability to diagnose it
Antenna om the roof. Mine had the same problem and it threw a code for the antenna

It works perfectly in sync. If you press the parking aid button the camera comes up immediately.

How do you get all the different drive modes? Is it a A6 thing? My A7 has comfort, Auto, Dynamic, or individual.
You can use obd11 to enable them 🤘🏼

Tried a different sequence and I was able to get the GEM. Successful installation and rebooted

Quick question. I've had my 2015 Audi A6 (c7)..{guess it's not a 7.5 } (manufactured date 9/2014-per sticker in door) updated to allow me to open my windows and Sunroof remotely, and I can close them remotely. If I update my firmware and Maps, will this change that coding, effectively removing that?

I wonder if there is a way to transplant the newer MMI into a pre-facelift A6.
It's either that, buy a different screen that's kind of like an Android tablet, or also a full replacement with RSNav.

That isn't what dictates your MMI. If you have a 2012-2015 c7 green you have 3g+ more than likely.

I would not advise doing it while driving. Just download Netflix on your phone

Another great video! I’ve been interested in this for a while and I was considering RSNAV S4 with 3D birds eye view, but I may do this for the time being instead. On another note, I did my passenger side motor mount yesterday. I still need to do my driver’s side. Any tips for the driver’s side?
The drivers side is very complicated compared to the passenger side. You have to let your subframe & remove your oil cooler to do it.
@@AudiC7Owners Replaced both my mounts about a week ago. I did NOT drop my sub frame but instead removed the oil cooler and AC pump. The hardest part was the oil cooler, you cannot see 3 of the bolts. I used a ratcheting 1/4" wrench to connect to a 3/8" to 1/4" socket adaptor which connected to my torx/tripple square bit. I felt with my fingers to find and then insert into the bolt head. Very tedious. BUT It is possible. Also best tip was to put them back in, I used super glue to glue the bolt to the bit then I could line the bolt into the (unseen) bold hole and start the threading process without loosing the small 1" long bolt. Super glue is easy to break the bond after you have it nice and snug to remove the bit. That definitely saved me some hassle. Hope this helps.

I did this using bens files, my Bose system hasn’t worked since, I get sound but the amp doesn’t seem to be working.

Apparently it’s common knowledge on the c7 Facebook site that his files screw it up.
There’s been loads had to pay to have there software all reset and re loaded using the etis system
I'm the admin for the C7 Facebook group and I've never seen anyone complain about his files doing anything other than what is intended. The only issues I've seen are from people not following the directions correctly.
@@AudiC7Owners yes because you lot delete any posts about it but it’s well known on the site by people with the proper equipment to totally reprogram the mmi again.
They’ve repaired a good few now, but you lot always delete any posts about it.
I actually have messages in my messenger about it with people who’s put it right.

Software/firmware updates the operating system, Nav is specific for the maps

I would like to ask if you know which of the folders from MMI update package contains or is responsible for the displayed languages? (I have used a script to overwrite one of them but its not what I was looking for). I was wandering If I can re-apply only the update for languages folder, not whole firmware. Thanks a lot!

Finally got mine. Did you do something extra to get into the green engineering screen?
I activated the green menu and now I lost options in the car system menu as like parking settings sounds, airco menu, interior light... how can I turn it on again in vcds?

I did this the other day and everything works EXCEPT I now have no control over the audio treble, subwoofer, can't select where the speakers are coming from. Ben is telling me this is not accessible when plugged in via android auto or apple car play, however it SHOULD be accessible if disconnected which for me is still not the case.

That could be a few things but I'd suggest taking it to a shop. Hvac systems are very particular

@@exoinky1293 There is a auxilary coolant pump behind the firewall but this usually causes the HEAT to only blow warm on one side. For A/C...you may just need a recharge. If it's one of the flaps/valves then the code would appear in VCDS scan

depending on your system it does update elements of the Bluetooth software. Issues such as connectivity delays, audio dropouts and device compatibility improvements

Why it says not to update Bose/Bang&Olufsen sound systems ?
It can mess up the mmi. And there is no reason to do any updates to them
audio module updates would require paramaterisation again with dealer level diagnostics and there is no need to update the sound systems in 99% of cases.
