  • I watched Amber Heard testify in person. The jury had very good reasons to reject her testimony--and they did. Now Amber Heard is fighting hard in the second phase of the trial, which is the court of public opinion. Join me to go over her interview.
And I'm going to be bringing a drink for this one.

What 'happened when she came forward' is that she got endless positive press, the biggest role of her life, an ambassadorship with ACLU, a contract with Loreal, a billionaire boyfriend, international invites to talk shows, etc, etc. In contrast, Johnny lost his jobs, his money and his reputation. No one pushed back on her until she wrote the op-ed, so the suggestion that consequences to her speaking up is why Depp's 'other victims' have remained silent is ridiculous.

When news broke about Amber and JD i was working at a domestic violence center. My initial reaction was shock and disbelief. Then I had to sit with myself and ask why did I not believe these claims. And it was simply because I had be an fan of JD since childhood and I had never heard of anything like that from him. Then I accepted that I did not know him personally and that the likelihood of someone lying about that level of DV is lying. I never attacked her online or called her a liar, but I also did not openly support her. I put it in the back of my mind until it resurfaced again. As the audio was revealed her account of what happened became questionable. Then following this trial with Emily D Baker I was hurt that she would lie like this. As child that grew up in a DV household and one that worked with DV victims everyday I knew how harmful this could be to survivors. Then I had renewed faith in people when JD said yes I am a victim of DV. I thought about the handful of men that came to our agency for help. That is when I knew that this terrible thing could be helpful to survivors male and female.

I hadn't heard the audio before the trial, my initial reaction was another one as this was the height of the me too movement. My questioning it was when she didn't get a me too moment and Johnny's exes spoke out and supported him. I knew that didn't definitively say that it didn't happen but it did mean that it was unlikely.

Thank you so much for your point. I had a similar reaction. Although, I must admit that my biases were exposed because I gave HER the benefit of the doubt, as I was a volunteer victims advocate for a while and a survivor myself. Like you, however, I recognized through the audio recordings that Johnny was, in fact, the victim. It was unmistakable. He was the victim, and she the abuser.

hi I also did the same thing you did. I was in denial about AH claims, but realized that there was a high possibility. I was heart broken but accepted the lies she told. After a couple of years, when the truth was partially revealed, my heart leapt. I did so much reading of articles and I found out JD's side of the story. It turned out this story was so much more evil than what was initially revealed.

It burns every time you try to pee and you walk funny because the slightest rubbing of the skin is unbearable. I’m a survivor of both DA and SA Amber Heard does not and will never represent me or my pain. She’s deceitful, hateful, and clearly a dangerous woman.

Emily D. Baker keeps saying that when the lawyers are all agreeing, that you should run. It’s *got* to mean something that the lawyers who watched this trial along with those of us did feel the jury got it right. It’s absurd that the media is allowing this to continue to be a conversation. She is an abuser- because at the very least, making allegations like that *is* abuse- and she absolutely doesn’t get to have this huge platform she is getting. As a survivor, it is so infuriating.

    • @brendaleelydon-carpenter1554
      @brendaleelydon-carpenter1554 Рік тому +34

That whole story made *NO SENSE* WHATSOEVER. I mean, you can tell if your partner has a hangnail, ffs. And as someone who enjoys glass toys (& has been a 'size queen' at different points in my life), there is NO. POSSIBLE. WAY. someone can grab a fifth or liter GLASS bottle of liquor, push the upper half of your body back on a counter, & just SHOVE the square end inside someone, nevermind actually try to move said bottle in & out. It just CAN'T happen.
You would need to have copious amounts of lube, a lot of foreplay, and gradually increase your ability to, um, "open up" with smaller items first, while preferably being in a position that ALSO helps you open up; the position she described is one that would CLOSE you up; it might be good for human-on-human action, to make things seem tighter, if that's your thing. But it WILL. NOT. HAPPEN. with a glass item.
Latex or silicone toys (as well as the skin & tissue of human body parts) will compress to a certain degree, and most of them are shaped to fit into that orifice. Items intended for penetration generally are cylindrical & have a tapered and rounded end FOR A *REASON* - you NEED to GRADUALLY widen the opening (particularly if the item to be inserted is large). Even tampons are shaped this way, ffs.
Glass does. NOT. change. shape. It does not compress. Unless in a ridiculously hot room or purposely pre-warmed, glass will feel cool to the touch. You would know IMMEDIATELY that what is touching you is NOT a human body part - cold & hard (& likely smooth) is QUITE different to warm & pliable.
Point blank, I wouldn't have been able to accommodate that square-ended bottle from a 'cold start' even during my most prolific 'size queening' days, even with lube & in the most accommodating position, even after having given birth. I don't think I could have done so with a square glass bottle even WITH a work-up, foreplay, etc. A cylindrical fifth or liter bottle? Maaaaaybe, but even that's going to be hard (heh), because it's not a tapered/rounded end and again, you're looking at a seriously lengthy work up time period using toys gradually increasing in size to help things along.
There is no way that bottle story happened, at least not as stated/written. She even said on the stand that you could still see the bottle on the floor in one of the pictures, confirming that it WAS a square-bottomed bottle.
That whole story, combined with her attempts at crying & seeming SO overwrought, was the moment I *KNEW* she was a liar of the highest degree. I'm not saying a survivor wouldn't get upset to the point of hysteria when retelling her experience with the trauma, even 6+ years later, by breaking down or getting shrill or whatever; I will say that it seems very unlikely for someone to be at that 'top level' of emotion the ENTIRE retelling. IME, people tend to be kind of detached & disassociated from their restating of the experience, and AT TIMES break down or have the emotions leak through. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It makes it hard to even believe her when she relates events that could be believable, because SO. MUCH. of her testimony is patently & provably false.
Amber Heard lost this case for herself, and in the process, thankfully exposed herself to the world as the lying predator that she is.

Same. I told every man in my life who was interested in this and might not be able to relate by default that having an object inserted in your vagina does not feel like that. I just want to say, for anyone who may have doubts & see my comment- when Emily Baker clocked how Amber wasn’t testifying like other survivors she’s seen, it totally clicked. My sister & I were chatting about the trial & I didn’t realize that we both speak about our past trauma EXACTLY as Emily described & I didn’t notice. Amber was so off with that performance. I’ve been beaten to where I thought for sure I was going to die. The first thing I always think of or say is I SAW STARS, LIKE A CARTOON. Everything went black and I saw stars, flashes. I wasn’t acting out punching & talking about dirty carpet like a damn movie scene. I went to court to press charges. This is not how I behaved. Just thought that might be semi interesting info. ❤️✌🏽

Agreed. I was assaulted on my way home and i remember things slowing down, seeing stars, looking up at the light post and noticed it was flickering off right before the guy finally let go. Afterwards, I found myself in a DV relationship and was beaten in public after a concert. I only remember being hit repeatedly and I’m not even sure what else happened but my Uber showed up and I think someone helped me get in but I don’t remember. No details of the ground or anything. On multiple occasions. She’s something else.

The statement about the tide already had turned against her when she took the stand is simply not true, I believed her up until she took the stand. Johnny was a great witness, but defamation is difficult to prove in the country in a court of law. it truly was her conflicting testimony, unbecoming conduct in the courtroom, inconsistent behavior to what was testified to, purposely evasive answers to even the simplest of questions, her statements in the audio, her behavior during his struggling addiction phase, her visible anger opposed to the all consuming fear and sadness she stated that she felt that did not come across, and her interactions with the jury which came across as manipulative and forced. It was AH and AH alone that lost the case. If she had not taken the stand maybe she would have won.

Histrionic and BPD, she absolutely believes it happened because that's how it felt to her so her brain literally reinterprets what actually happened to fit the feeling. The opposite of how most people process things after calming down. Most people see things more clearly after they calm down, she sees things to fit the way she felt. Like Johnny constantly being violent, with Histrionic him trying to leave feels like violence, so that's how she remembers it. Also, in the moment it feels so much like violence she'll react like it was actual violence.

If she really lost her voice she wouldn’t have been able to do the interview. You don’t know or understand what it really means to not have a voice AH. Not to mention that defamation had to be found WITH MALICE, and that was what was found. As for his exes, they came and gave sworn testimonies that he was never abusive. AH AND JD had the same private entrance and the only thing there was a gate. No media or “fans” were allowed beyond the gates or to block the gates. MSM would have made a big deal if there were horrible signs and shouts being made against AH and they didn’t say anything through out the trial. Also there are all kinds of witnesses that were there and can tell you that you were wrong. Not everyone in the gallery were fans. You even had fans of your own at one point. There were lawyers who were simply interested in the trial as that is there job, trials, and to see the lawyers. No one was allowed to talk in the gallery nor could they wear costumes or shirts that indicated who’s side they were on. Those who watched the trial could see this. The public saw her lying and not admitting to any faults throughout the whole trial.
The UK trail was different in so many ways: a) AH wasn’t a party but a witness meaning she didn’t win anything as it wasn’t her case. b) because she was only a witness here level of evidence wasn’t as high. c) the legality is different as it is a different country. d) most of his evidence was denied.
There was no negotiation; that was AH verbally assaulting him and admitting to her doing the physical abuse. She brought in lots of the audio herself and the clips were all longer than 30 seconds. Her lawyers even had the option to bring in longer clips yet they chose not too. She didn’t argue on the stand for anything but DV and SA, so don’t try to twist it or add more now. AH had no evidence to back up her story, and each story got more elaborate each time she told it as well as adding more events. Most, if not all, of her so called abuse would have demanded medical attention as well as days of not weeks of healing. AH had so many other inconsistencies in her stories and so called evidence.
Stop with your twisting of the story about the donation you never made AH. A donation is not the same as a mortgage by any stretch of the imagination. Donation means give them the money then and there, especially when you said “I donated the money”. A mortgage is having a bank pay for the house in full and then you pay the bank back in the form of a loan and if you don’t pay it back you can get into trouble such as loosing the house. No one told her to make the donation. No one told her to announce it publicly that not only did she ALREADY donate the money but that she did it because she wanted nothing in the divorce. AH chose to do both and got caught in doing none of it. That’s all on her. And yes, a large part of a defamation case is all about a person’s credibility so don’t play dumb and act like credibility had nothing to do with it. If it wasn’t a publicity stunt then why wait so long after the divorce was finalized and have the timing of so close to her first major movie role as a superhero to publish it? That seems fishy.
Yes AH, since you said you had pictures then they needed to match with the abuse you described. And not only did they not match the description, but for some events you had the same photos to represent two different dates. She never looked intimidated or scared to talk her supposed SA. AH never had medical records for any of them either and, again, based on her description of those events there would have to be medical records as the the injuries would have been too severe. And it would have taken weeks to recover from. Just because you say something happens doesn’t mean it happens.
Her demeanor and attitude and even the words coming out of her mouth screamed being vindictive. How is AH allowed to give Dateline these so called therapist notes when her current court case hasn’t been closed out and she is appealing it? Therapy notes are more consider medical notes. Also, those so-called notes seem to be in the same handwriting as her handwriting in her’s and JD’s love notebook they shared. Not to mention therapy notes are not long, drawn out words and sentences but rather short, abbreviated notes that are quickly written because they are writing as the patient speaks. They also MUST include dates and times on their notes for their records. AH’s so called notes had none. It is also interesting how this therapist had years of hearing her story yet AH never said her therapist encouraged her to seek help or report it or helped her make a plan. AH had her therapist on her witness list but her team never brought her in. Dr. Hughes also referred to that therapist’s notes during her testify.
Was there a trial by law held in the courtroom? Yes. Was there a trial by the public? Yes. Did the trial by public influence the trial in the courtroom? NO. And there is no evidence to state otherwise. Did the trial in the courtroom influence the trial by public? Yes. We were able to watch the trial from beginning to end and evaluate the witnesses and evidence on our own and make our own conclusion. Then when the public found you in the wrong we the people shared our opinion of you online just as our freedom of speech allows us to do. JD never “promised” any amount of humiliation according the the texts we saw, but simply said it would happen implying it would be because the truth would come out. If you’re going to quote sometime then quote it correctly. She had most of the world on her side for six years simply because she said (with no other evidence) she was the victim and then during the trial it came out she had been lying to us the whole time. Many people had turned their back on JD even though they were fans because of your accusations, they tried to “have your back”. Yes, the world is allowed to feel upset, angry, and hurt for being duped and lied to by you Ms. Heard for so long. And I do believe we the people would look you in the eye/face and tell you what we feel and think of you. Consequences of your actions, dear AH, isn’t always pleasant.
AH, you do care what people think of you or you wouldn’t be doing the interview. You don’t want to keep your private life private as leaked information, wrote an Op-Ed, and are doing interviews sharing details of your private life. Yes, I would telling you that your are being treated fair as this is exactly what you put JD through for six years. Are the extremists taking it too far, maybe; but it’s not the majority. Being called names is nothing. Being called out on your lies is nothing. AH, you have no evidence that any juror member did anything they weren’t supposed to do. Not everyone is attached to SM like AH seems to be. AH doesn’t even know if they have any or which SM accounts. Do not insult these people who had to give up almost two months of their lives to listen to your trial. AH didn’t take responsibility for anything. She tried to come off as perfect and perfect doesn’t exist. So yes, that attitude will impact how people see you AH. And that viewpoint point won’t be good. Also, there were at least 20 witnesses that weren’t on any one’s pay roll/family/friend list. Offended that AH considers “randos” or “average” people as beneath her. There is nothing about her that makes her better than anyone else!
AH thinks so highly of herself that she assumes she has power over other DA cases. AH, you have no power over other cases or victims. Your case was all about you and JD (not to mention it was defamation case only) and EVERY CASE is different and evaluated as such! AH does not speak for anyone but herself. AH, you say you want to focus on being a mom and I’m sure you want to protect her (and that is admirable), yet you weren’t too concerned how two teenagers were going to have to grow up dealing with the mud you dragged their father in for the last six years while silencing his voice at the same time.
Throughout the interview she kept changing the tense of her stories, rarely referred to herself as a victim but says victims react to or do things in third person (which implies she isn’t one) and even slips and says JD would step away (implying yet again that he is the victim). AH is even looking all over the place at times. Several time she would look SG in the eyes let alone face. She also would flip between first and third person (third person implies the person talking wasn’t there doing what was being talked about but simply an observer) and she flipped between present and past tense (implies lying because you cannot keep the story straight). AH needs real help, not just a therapist or psychiatrist who will simply listen to and placate her. It seems that JD has already been seeking help for his issues and is actually getting better. This was a trial between two people NOT social movements contrary to what AH and her team want to believe. This trial isn’t women v men. This also isn’t about taking the right to speak away from anyone but about giving voice to someone who had been silenced. This trial is about finding the truth. In a small way it was about an abuser and a victim. It was about how the stereotypes of who an abuser and victim is is not always right. Abuse doesn’t know gender. Abuse doesn’t know stereotypes. If people really want to make this one case about a movement (which it is not), then JD helped the movement as well as broadened it by showing how a (male) victim can come in with the odds stacked against them, stick to and tell the truth, and then be heard and come out the victor.

Re glassing, My late partner was glassed in the face about 30 years ago when he was a pub landlord and someone decided they didn't want to drink up and leave at closing time. The glass used was a heavy handled pint jug and they shoved it into his face whilst holding the base. Unfortunately, despite the best surgeons available operating he lost his eye as the eyeball itself was lacerated beyond repair. He had to have a prosthetic eye and his face was heavily scarred even after having several plastic surgeries.
Thankfully the pub was next to a blood donation centre so a couple of the customers present were off duty nurses and they were able to give emergency help that saved his life.
I fully support heavy prison sentences for glassing incidents. Sadly the person who glassed my partner was never caught.

AH sees “positive pro Johnny Depp” signs as “negative/against AH signs”.
This is because ignoring her is the most harmful thing for her!
Because it means she’s not at the center of the attention as she desperately needs to be.
People as I have read thinks that she will never stop because she is vendicative, that all the mocking on social media are hurting her, unfair etc. Well, I disagree.
Whatever comes, as long as people are talking about her, her ego is fulfilled.
She is nothing without JD, ( she could but she doesn’t want!). So her life is bond with JD and she will keep talking, engaging with bad comments ( trough Eve or PR) complaining or whatever as long as people keep talking about her.
I especially that every now and then, in the future, she will do or say something or make her PR team release something to make people talk about her ( negatively, doesn’t matter).
I see her complaining for future injunctions, I see her taking sides ( with Evan Wood) in the Marilyn Manson case, talking about it and even showing at the trial.
She was at the trial in UK for many days and she wasn’t even supposed to be there, even when she wasn’t taking the stand.
She will di everything to keep the attention in her as I bet she’s done as an actress.

I find it really funny how during the entire interview they keep acting like Heard's side never got to speak. The whole point is that the defense (Heard) goes last because it's in your benefit to be able to be the last one to speak and paint a picture without the other side being able to say again that it isn't true.
Heard's side quite literally got the last word.

The crazy thing is, Johnny Depp isn’t really that powerful. If he was, how did he lose his 6th pirates role and other movie roles just because AH implied some accusations about him? He had fans, but not nearly as many as he has now that she’s really tried to profit off of his demise.

Thank you for brining light to what ADHD is and how it affects your life! My son has ADD and I fought his schools all the way through for calling him lazy or trying to label him as having various learning disorders. He graduated high school with a 3.5 gpa after we discovered he learned online much better than in a classroom setting.
Edit: My issue with no medical treatment for walking on glass is that she took her dog to the vet for stepping on a bee!!!! Why does your dog get better treatment than you do?? The therapy notes are so not representative of what a health professional writes. We are actually trained in school on the proper procedure for patient notes and I have worked multi state and the procedures are standard practice.

Maybe cuz the medical personnel would see there were no bruises for real. I also agree her presentation of herself as a tough stoic victim and Stockholm syndrome does not reflect the amount of care she surrounded herself with, starting with an army of therapists for various purposes and her support network literally occupying all of JD homes, from ph to the island.

So great that the trial was televised. Not only we could see with our own eyes what really happened but also maybe people will see how rotten mainstream media really are! It's bizzare.

Blackbeltbarrister has helped me understand the differences between our US Constitution (trial by jury) and British laws which I now know that Civil cases in England is no jury.

It’s -30°C and the car was 25 years old, didn’t have servo steering and an extremely bad internal heating system. I didn’t have gloves or a scarf. I was so cold while driving home I was crying.

This is so messed up. I get it, the interview didn't give them the views, they were hoping for ... but don't take it out on people who did watch it and try to comment on it. This is fair use. The people who watched this stream belong to two groups. The ones who already watched the interview by themselves. And the ones who will never watch the interview unless someone they know comments on it. (Since the comments / conversation in the chat is the important thing here)
So in either scenario... there are no views lost by letting people comment on it. Smh.

As someone with ADHD I am honestly just straight up dumber off my meds. After a streak of 100s on every test I missed my meds and got like a 78. Worse than that though is the fact that off my meds I have no clue what I'll do. I'm constantly terrified thinking I might do something horrible after actually deciding to follow up on a dumb thought I had instead of classifying the thought as stupid and forgetting it. My ADHD isn't a lack of work ethic, it's a psychological inability to even make the decision to exert effort. Whenever I hear someone say it's my fault or some crap like that it makes me incredibly angry. It's victim-blaming and it's wrong.

People saying Heard needs mental help...her main problem isn't something that can be fixed, only 'controlled'. You can't unmake a narcissist or sociopath etc. With those major personality disorders, the person is broken, they are missing a piece. You can only teach those people how to act in ways that don't upset other people as much, and that's ONLY if they see some profit in attempting it in the first place -- since they will *never* see anything wrong with themselves and don't care about anyone else.
