      Vasquez and the rest of the team are basically a flight of F-35s and F-15s working together against a bunch of biplanes. It's a bit of a slaughter to be honest. They don't really have to do everything they are doing, but it's better to shoot down as much as possible to make sure most of what they are trying to rebuild into her defense ends up falling short.

      @@Chalupa_Sue I just hope that Johnny actually prevails in this. I highly doubt the jury is picking up what AH and her team are trying to put down, but there's always that chance. It is stuff like this that makes guys not want to deal with women, even though it's certainly not even close to most that do this, but the repercussions it can have to simply be accused without any evidence is enough to deter many. This needs to help make the law see men and women as equals when it comes to abuse/assault/domestic violence, because it is equally damaging to the victims regardless of gender.

    This should be used in law schools for instructing future attorneys what not to do while examining a witness,
    1) how not to cause ongoing objections from incorrectly phrasing questions
    2) how not to be argumentative with a Judge, (Judge Azcarotti was very generous in not holding Elaine Brederhoft in contempt for being as argumentative as she was)
    3) how not to have your client unprepared for the witness stand
    4) how not to be unorganized with your annotations and notes
    5) how not to be unfamiliar with the courtroom proceedings
    6) how not to lose your cool in front of a jury and let them see you are sinking by exclaiming, "I am trying, I'm trying"........

      Elaine may have struggled a bit, but it was Ms. Heard that lost the case. Elaine "what if anything" Bredehoft was most likely fighting a losing battle with a client that insisted on getting things in that weren't allowed or did not matter. (IE ENT records without the actual ENT testifying=heresay and why Johnny would not look at her in the eyes) This was a good example of a client refusing to listen to her attorneys. Elaine Bredehoft is probably also used to depositions where you can ask leading questions and the majority of her cases never make it to trial. Bottom line is Amber lost this case for Amber. Nobody else.

    The judge is done with the case. You can hear it it her voice. The judge knows that it is in fact defamation. She just can't say it in court.
    If AH is not found guilty, this will be a huge blow for men who have been abused and falsely accused. It will be a blow for actual victims.
    This trial started as entertainment, but has become much more. Not because they are celebs, but because it is so public.

    • @keyboardwarrior7538
      @keyboardwarrior7538 2 роки тому +8

      Not how it works. The defamation is for her publishing lies that tarnish his reputation. If he laid hands in retaliation she isn't a victim of domestic abuse. If they can prove he attacked her (which they've provided no evidence for) then they could argue that her statement was factual

    • @colaboytje
      @colaboytje 2 роки тому +17

      @@narlywaves2371 No, that is not how defamation cases work, or any other trial works.
      Defamation is accusing someone for which the evidence is not provided or can't be provided, to prove the accusation.
      This case is not about if Depp is guilty of laying hands on her. The case is about: can AH provide the evidence for the accusations. If she can't, then it is defamation. If she can, then it's not defamation. So far, she has been unable to provide the evidence. So at this point, she is guilty. The case is not, I repeat so you would understand, about Johnny being guilty. Johnny can't be found guilty in this trial. That can only happen in a criminal trial where he is the defendent.
      That is the nuance you seem to not get. The scope of the trial is reflected in the question presented to the jury: Is AH guilty of defamation? It's the only question that will be answered in this trial.
      So it's not 'if Johnny laid hands on her'; it's can AH provide evidence for the accusations (there are 2: physical abuse and sexual abuse).
      If it was a criminal case, then the question would be different: is Johnny guilty of domestic violence and sexual abuse?
      I recommend reading up on defamation in legal terms.
      An analogy: a divorce case is about divorce and the consequences. Even if one party comitted domestic violence, it will be considered as the grounds to grant a divorce, but the divorce case will not deal with the domestic violence as a criminal offense. For that, you need a criminal trial.
