- How to tune your passerelle and start learning to play Kaki's new single, "Teek"!
The passerelle is a bridge that turns any regular six string guitar into a twelve note instrument that can produce sounds reminiscent of the Japanese koto or the Chinese guzheng. It can be used just for sound effects or as an entirely new instrument for composition. Listen to Kaki’s new single, "Teek" (as well as old favorites “Nails” and “Bowen Island”) to hear Kaki using the passerelle in her work.
The Kaki King Passerelle is a collaboration between Kaki King and Luthier Rachel Rosenkrantz, both innovators and free thinkers who push the boundaries of their crafts. The passerelle is made and finished by hand in Rhode Island. Get your passerelle here: www.kakiking.co...

This is fantastic thank you
Stunning, you are
do you ever make song from japanese pentatonic ( A B C E F ) scale using this thing?
I use a tuner, because I am full deaf. I rely on vibrations. I hope it will work.
Oh, one think. Did you tune guitars for Michael Hedges at the Arc in Ann Arbor Mich. Somebody did and handed him a freshly tuned axe for every tune he played there?
Hi, I bought a passerelle bridge. Love your playing. What brand of strings and gauge do you suggest?
What kind of tuning is that?
It's sort of tuned tuned in minor 3rds
Doesn't this put a lot of extra stress on the neck and bridge?
Seems like this "bridge" is crying out for rollers, if the strings catch when you're tuning.
