You have to understand Joe was only retired as long as the group was signed to shady. They've only been off shady for a year. As mentioned in the live, Joe was potentially willing to do something if the contract was right, but they never got the details of the contract. Also as Royce stated, they don't need a deal to make music, Heaven studio was always open to them.
@@MrRisorgimento they were off shady since some point last year, crook went on twitter last year trying to sort something out, crook couldn’t get a phone call back.
This isn’t that hard to deconstruct. Joe and Royce never verbally declined a deal. However, what Joell is saying is that, Royce refusing inclusion if Joe isn’t involved and Joe stating numerous times that he’s retired, they’re by VIRTUE, deciding to no longer make music as a group.
I mean niggas never received terms to said agreement to decline or accept. Joell and crooked chasin handshake deals smh. That’s how you end up right back in bad business. Lol

Well, if joe is retired and he’s made it clear that he’s retired, but then an offer is on the table with his old group and he doesn’t actually turn it down, but simply asks more about the deal they can’t actually say he turned it down because he wasn’t giving them an answer fast enough. That’s like if I always say I’m tired and you ask me to go to a party with you and I ask where it’s at and you never get back to me and go without me and then I see you on socials saying I’m lame for not coming and when I ask wtf happened you tell me I said I wasn’t going lol. Now I’m sitting like wtf
Your a fucking idiot. You need lawyers and some form of verbal communication to turn down the deal. Yes Royce and Joe could pull this album down and win. The label is making money off Joe and Royce’s brand. Both having 50% ownership in the brand. Yes I would be suing.

Joe will apply for a job. Not show up. Not call. Not give a heads up. And the company takes someone else and Joe shows up 10 years later saying “I didn’t say no”
That’s a position. Until an actual offer is made, it can’t be a rejection. No actual docs were drafted, nothing was read over, nothing was discussed with legal counsel in great detail. A whole business side was overlooked which is what messed them up from the jump. Plenty of hot commodity figures (musicians, athletes, etc) have been talked out of retirement when talks and offers go up.

This doesnt make any sense because the mere fact that Joe was taking the time to ask further questions and gather more information on the deal PROVES he hadnt made a definitive Yes or No about that. One. Deal. So no he didnt turn it down. Plus his questions about the deal werent being answered. Its so interesting when people conveniently leave out key details just to push a narrative.

Royce and Joe straight tripping. Joe said he is retired and Royce said he will not do an album without Joe. That's turning it down. Now they are trying to play semantics and say I never said no. I’m confused as to why Joe is acting so hurt all of a sudden. He’s said damn near every week on his podcast he’s retired and will never rap again and now that Joell and Crook dropped a song he’s acting like he’s so hurt and he would have rapped again. You can’t make this guy happy
Nah he always said if the deal was right he'd come out of retirement for his boys and Joel and crook hiding the info on the deal so he wasn't going to sign without the info that's not turning it down That's waiting for details you're entitled to see.

I honestly don’t know how things work at Shady Records business wise. But I will say this Slaughterhouse lyrically are great rappers, but they weren’t marketable in the mainstream. They didn’t write catchy choruses, they didn’t choose up to date production, and they look generic, meaning nothing stands out about them appearance wise. They never really gave their fans anything to truly relate to. Let’s look at the most successful artist on Shady after Eminem. Which is 50 Cent. 50 Cent was on Shady Records but he was marketable, had an image, a story, a controversial beef, and the ability to choose marketable production and make hit records. Yes the Eminem affiliation gave suburban america a reason to embrace him,but 50 Cent was also smart enough to give them a reason to embrace him by making hit songs. 50 Cent had a buzz and chose to submit a lot of hits to the record label. He made the labels (Shady,Aftermath,Interscope)take him seriously and gave them something worth promoting. 50 went out and established his own sound, image and movement outside of Eminem and made the situation work for him. Wanksta” “In Da Club” “21 Questions” “P.I.M.P” “Many Men”. Were all relevant marketable hits for the times. 50 Cent never had an issue with how business was handled at Shady Records. Whereas Slaughterhouse never gave Shady Records anything marketable to promote. “Hammer Dance” wasn’t a good first single and it definitely didn’t connect with the fans. “My Life” would’ve only worked had they chose a better first single. The album didn’t really have anything radio friendly on it. They can’t blame Shady Records for that, the label can’t make the songs for you. Eminem didn’t owe them a deal he chose to give them a deal, they just didn’t make the right songs. So they’re lucky it even happened in the first place, considering how many unsigned artist would love to sign to that label. But signing to a superstars label doesn’t automatically guarantee you any success, their fans aren’t gonna just support you just for signing. You have to give them a reason to support you. Lyricism isn’t always the answer. You have to make songs that people want to hear these Slaughterhouse guys just wanted to spit bars and that obviously didn’t work for them. So then Joe Budden wants off the label when his group didn’t make the right songs for the first one that didn’t sell well. Royce knowing his relationship with Eminem, chooses to align himself with Joe Budden after Joe said what he said about Eminem’s album on that podcast. Shady Records had no reason to put out another Slaughterhouse album after the first one flopped, simply because the group didn’t make marketable music. Joe then retires and Royce does the album with Premo,Joe says he refuses to put out music on Shady, Royce says he doesn’t do Slaughterhouse without Joe,so at that point there’s no Slaughterhouse. The few fans that they had at one point are probably not as interested as they once were in hearing a new project with all of them anyway, because it’s been so long since they’ve worked together. So in essence their fans lose in the long run. Griselda is no longer on Shady Records either and they had a good image with the jewels and designer clothes, but they were all about bars, their music didn’t match their image and they weren’t marketable. These people aren’t meant to be superstars, they don’t have the music for it. They too are lucky Eminem gave them a deal because if you’re over 30 years of age as a rapper, regardless of how talented you are a label doesn’t have to take a chance with you. Joe and Royce are wildin’. Joe is retired. Royce wouldn’t do it without Joe. That’s the end of the game.
@@MrRisorgimento they've been out of shady for more than a year so they saw them string them along so they decided to close that shit and move on
Royce is a fucking weird dude. Crook and Joell would smoke both these clowns
@@joerodriguez6587 Why cant they call it slaughterhouse? They wanna make music under that name for fans its as much theres as joes and royce.

Yup and Joel ain’t soft at all I know he want to be like stop ick riding and get back to business 🧑💼
Royce is a classic dumb guy trying to sound smart and Joe is one of the most insufferably people in the industry.
If Royce says he's not doing a deal unless Joe is involved and Joe has made it clear he's not rapping again then that's essentially turning it down
Well, if joe is retired and he’s made it clear that he’s retired, but then an offer is on the table with his old group and he doesn’t actually turn it down, but simply asks more about the deal they can’t actually say he turned it down because he wasn’t giving them an answer fast enough. That’s like if I always say I’m tired and you ask me to go to a party with you and I ask where it’s at and you never get back to me and go without me and then I see you on socials saying I’m lame for not coming and when I ask wtf happened you tell me I said I wasn’t going lol. Can’t wait til he makes Royce look even more stupid for supporting his actions and turning his back on the Crook and Joell.
Royce said he won’t do it without Joe, Joe said for 5 years now he’s retired. That’s a rejection…
@@theprimepodcast You gotta return phone calls to get offers tho. I just don’t believe Joe has much credibility these days. 2nd group project he’s blown up now
@@mathenamr Joe was never challenged when he said he questioned more aspects of said deal past the advance and never heard back. Him questioning the deal is the "returned call".

Joell: you are retired
Joe: WHEN did I say no?
Joell: Royce said he won't do it without you.
Like the entire conversation is recorded and on display. Joell looking crazy. Anyone that says the "bottom line is" to cut off a conversation when THEY got the bag is on some bs.
Slaughterhouse could have really been a great thing. Yall should have worked through the shit

Basically, so that everyone can stop choosing sides let me make it simple. Joe & Royce never said no verbally .
Joell knows that, but he also knows he’s not coming from a place of dishonesty.
Royce not working unless Joe gives a yes verbally. However Joe previously stated numerous times that he has no intention to rapping ever again. He also stated that he was chilling which would mean he had absolutely no intention on giving an answer. So he didn’t say no, but he was never going to say yes. That’s how he keeps control over everyone in the situation. If he would just let go himself, then none of this would even be a problem. Be blinded by ego if you want.
for more insight about verbal agreement ask to rory and mal
There was no written contract
(draft/memo) to say yes or no to. They asked Joell where was the actual deal to accept or decline. NONE
the only deal on paper was the one the 2 members signed🤣
And they still owe Joe and Royce money from this album🤣
So Joe is retired and has been retired.. Royce won't sign on to anything without Joe yet Joell is wrong for his take? Gaslighting at its finest
Joe’s doing very well rn, but his attitude and way of handling people…that shit is gonna come back to haunt him. You can’t just go your whole life doing people this way. Hope he figures it out and changes his ways, cause…..
One of the saddest fall outs, im glad D12 never went public with their issues
Seeing this feels like the “you should never meet your heroes” quote…..and without having to actually meet your heroes 😳
I've dealt with people like Royce and Joe and wow it's impossible honestly to even get them to see the reality of things. Its like arguing with a wall. They'll never see their wrong, but will make you doubt yourself in the wildest of way.
they are textbook master gaslighters
Miguel, straight facts!

But if crook n Joel couldn’t provide the breakdown of the contract, I wouldn’t want parts of the deal
@Rotweiler Scholar Yes theres wrong, when people are saying one thing yet do nothing and then complain about not being asked to be involved.... That sounds insane.
The tension was Heavy soon as Joel answered lol
Lol you can tell Joell is being honest and truthful everyone knows how Joe is by now and Royce saying he’s not doing it without Joe is definitely turning the deal down

Royce saying that nobody said 'no" smacks of pure desperation to avoid being accused of anything negative.
When 1 person openly states they are retired, that's an automatic "NO" to any deal on the table.
When 1 person openly states that they aren't going to do a 3-man effort, that's an automatic "NO" to any deal on the table.
You don't have to verbally say "no" when every action that you take results in a "no" automatically.
Exactly. "No response is a response". I think anyone in business and anyone who respects communication knows that saying.
You speaking on a situation you know nothing about. Joe "retired" because he didn't want to put out music on Shady, the group was still signed to Shady. A song as the group was on Shady, he was considering himself retired. As you heard in this clip, the group has only been off Shady for maybe a year. Joe jas also stated he would rap, he stated on several occasions he would need some time to get up to speed since his pen was a bit rusty. Stop picking and choosing only what you wanna hear.
I'm afraid I have to disagree. Michael Jordan came out of retirement for a deal after his father's death. Jay-z retired a few albums ago; a simple google search proves this is not an anomaly under the right circumstances. Royce was unwilling to explore the opportunity without Joe. The opportunity was never presented to Joe. The court of public opinion hears with basic sentiments, not facts.

No fr tho. Joe was the one that was ugly and Royce just sitting idly by not thinking joe don’t feel the same about him is crazy
But if you find one that does you better make the most of it and don’t make excuses.
GREAT ANALYSIS......
