I live in Australia where we have that talcum powder like really fine dust so we all run a pre filter like the Rottweiler or twin air plus discard the paper factory main filter for a oiled duel filter like Uni filter.

Just subscribed. Great video/great content. I also own a 2023 KTM 890 S model. Riding the hell out of it down here in Southern California. Be safe out there, and enjoy the ride.

    Great idea!
I'll order one for mine today
(and look into the unifilter and drain holes).
    Thanks much!

Good video. I installed this product on my 790 adv a few years ago. Huge improvement over the stock configuration. This almost seems like a “must do” mod.

I agree. It’s a must. Not the greatest design on the part of the engineers but I don’t care, it won’t stop me from riding the 890 R

You should get also the unifilter for the main filter & not the paper filter. Dirty air comes also from the bottom thru the water drain holes

Good advice. That’s on my list for sure. Thanks for commenting

Imo the OEM twin air it's a better choice and less expensive, it also came with the water drain plugs at the bottom.
Get some foam and put on the water drains in the bottom of the air box

Do you plug the drainage holes?

I was waiting on those to come in stock. wound up going with the KTM Twin Air version...Same basic set up. Happy So Far. Wash and soak with oil like on your dirt bike. Was tempted to spend the big $$$ on the intake, does sound good, but hard to justify the cost and tear down to install.

I really do want the performance intake but I don’t need 10 more hp for a bike that already has tons of power and I’ll ride mostly off road anyway, but it sure is nice.

Sorry mate, but you do not reuse the rubber gaskets for this installation.
