2 months later and all is quite at cyc, whats going on?..just checked there FB and are still in testing phase, seems you can run higher voltage, glad there taking the time to test and make sure is 100% before shipping,
If it had an integrated transmission with at least 5 gears I'd be sold.

How are you going to lubricate the gear if you use one gear club it's going to get real messy

on my bbshd its close to 200mm and I have narow hips and wide shoulders so I cant pedal the damn thing without hurting myself
Question please, Can you have a smaller outer PEEK carbon ring than a 60t ? .
A 60t is fine for on road commuting but it lacks the nesasery ground clearance for mountain biking for off road riding any more teeth than 40 becomes risky. 60T= 200mm, that would have a lower ground clearance than a BBSHD.
It would be ashame if you could not make the most of the benefits of your sexy compact sized drive . The maximum amount of teeth I can ride with on my local mountain bike tracks is 42t anymore and the ring would get seriously damaged by rocks etc.
Please I would like to know before considering buying a, cyc 3000.
Can it take a smaller diameter ring ?.
60t = 200mm diameter or 100mm lower than bottom bracket. That's to low for off road riding, that's ashame because off road mountain biking is what a lot of people would want this motor for .

The version with the gears was horrible but the chain version is version good

Can you please up load a video with this motor attached to a real bike please , we would love to see it in action and get a really idea of its sound etc.. I dont think you will get many pre orders until people know what it sounds like , also what warranty it comes with etc. Great looking drive unit ! If it's as good as it looks I will be promoting it the best I can

Integrated controller. Very compact and tidy.
Where do you get it and how much delivered to Australia?
There's an Aussie company that sells a similar kit just not as refined looking but very high quality for $1000aud, oz-ebikes .com 2000w kit (it's a 3000w motor just the supplied gear runs at 2000w as the next stage is stupidly expensive due to the batteries needed but you can easily upgrade in the future) They also custom make the mounting bracket for you when you order so I'd be able to use any bike of mine with the kit and no permanent holes are needed either!!
I'd budget with all the upgrades etc to make it nice and functional about $1500Aud, Buying a quality bike of gumtree is also a really good idea as well, can save lots of money that way.

The batteries will be available later as an option, which can be installed in the triangular frame of the bike.

Question, you claim in your advertising that your motor is quiet running, do you believe it's more quiet than say the Paradox kinetics motor? . It has a very similar designed cog style external gear, and also the same planetary gear center. would you consider the Paradox to be quiet also? . The Paradox I can tell you is not considered quiet by many people.
I eagerly anticipate your release of your sample video footage personally I prey to the ebike gods that your drive unit is quiet as I have been waiting for a bbshd replacement for 2 years now, There has been No luck finding a powerful drive unit that's quiet so far .

@@4nlimited3dition_4n3d the bbshd is completely silent in most situations. You can just hear it at full throttle in a low gear otherwise, the sound of the tires spinning is the only noise. I will probably be geating one of your motors, I like it.. just waiting for the video footage now thanks.
I know, I own a bbshd and it's super silent, probably thanks to the nylon gear and the enclosed motor casing. I was wondering if the option 2 of the CYC X1 Pro that uses the gears instead of a chain would be more silent and how silent vs the bbshd.
I'd rather go with something I can repair without searching the whole world for replacement part.
