Is it hard to get a T-38 training slot or did they all pick the T-1?

It’s based on testing (written and in flight) some chose the T-1 and some chose the T-38 I don’t know how many got the plane they wanted but some people chose and some people had it decided for them. So not everyone I can imagine got the plane they wanted
