Does the picture and audio combination motivate you to find out, or make you wonder, what is going on?
Does it give you some idea what this story world might be about?

I love it. There's a certain feeling (liminality?) that the video produces inside of me. Both unsettling and oddly calming. The combination of the music adds to this, being upbeat but with a perhaps slightly sinister undercurrent that one can't quite put their finger on...
The audio and video in conjuction with this comment and the title and description do conjure up a few scenarios in my head. Imagine (effectively) being the God of a reality... who are these people? Are they of malicious intent? Do they even exist?

@@Kimble_ I really appreciate the detailed feedback. That's great to hear.
That's also a great word. And I suppose evoking that feeling is perfect for this story idea. You can almost convince the audience that simulation theory is legit before selling them a story world that relies heavily on it. Leave them in a liminal space where they feel like they're about to have some sort of life changing epiphany (they likely won't, it's just a film about a metaphysical idea, but they'll FEEL like they're having one).
I sort of wanted to use the music to bring a playful vibe to what is a serious and potentially sinister idea (someone accessing a full scale ancestor simulation, and- as you point out- the idea of who might create one and get to exploit it).
The idea of someone's reality being someone else's play thing.
... but a lot of people say it just made them immediately think of True Romance because Hans Zimmer basically plagiarised the piece for that soundtrack 😅

It doesn't really make me wonder what is going on, it just seems like a neat little visualization of some metaphysical philosophy. it does a good job of selling interest in what is being said and i like the combination of the image and the audio. but the music is too close to the whimsical wonder style language of apple commercial so with the current uptempo music choice it feels like it really needs other framed scenes to get the right energy that the music has. i think if the music was different and more downtempo it would work better with what you're going for

@@Cheesemonk3h that's really good feedback. I'm planning a load of b roll shots like this in the full version. I'll see if this sort or whimsical innocent vibe can come from another track that's more definite. I need that in the picture though so I'll have to work it out.
Much appreciated again, thanks for the detailed feedback 🤝🤝

Never knew Larry David was such an expert on the workings of metaphysics
