Great info and format man, truly great stuff, keep at it and I’m sure your channel will grow with time. You deserve it if all your content is like this video. First video I’ve seen of yours and I’m gonna sub. Tight lines bro
You can also make a line through with a coffee stir straw it works great, I always carry a few in my tackle bag so when I'm on the water I can do it on the fly
The line through rig is interesting, never thought to do something like that before. Any chance you have photos of ones you've rigged in the past? And thanks for the video, very informative!
your a breath of fresh air mate I fish sea bass in the UK and will try out your tips No freshwater bass here haha Keep it up O and I love to hear you talking about LB breaking strain Not .30 or whatever I learned on pounds so don't savvy metric weights
Wrap lead wire around the treble for the line through configuration and also try starting your line through 1/8 from the nose on top. I like to use spray can straws you can get by the dozen online. Just clip the end at a sharp angle and poke it through. Then trim to fit. It sinks and wiggles like a wacky rig on the drop. On the retrieve, it hunts like a spine/hover rig. If you want a gliding action on the drop, it's easy to reposition the treble. don't forget the glue for the straw.
Great video!!!! Like all the tips on how to right a swimbait especially the line through. Question: What size swivel do you use for this technique?? Stay Safe & God Bless!!
The Storm LiveEye swim baits come already rigged, and in packs of 3 for pretty cheap - I got a couple packs of shiner colored ones yesterday for about $3 a pack. The shiner ones only have the big single hook, but the crappie and perch ones have the treble stinger on the bottom, too; I tend to remove the treble, coincidentally, so that I DON'T snag and hang up on every bit of veg down there lol
@Jonathan Dietz Fishing Nothing wrong with that! The paddle tails have pretty realistic but subtle movement, but you can get a lot more action from a softer swim bait that's for sure.
I use a 3/0 eagle claw Skeet Reese weighted swimbait hooks and it has a belly weight and look awesome coming through the water, also that's with a 3.8 Keitech
Been doing this probably before most of you were born. Take it one step further and insert a small drinking straw piece into the worm body and slide your line through that . The treble hook will pull free and the worm body or rubber grub will move freely up the line allowing a person to use the body more often as it doesn't get shredded up as easily
That was one of the best short, to-the-point videos I have seen in a long time!
Great info, Thanks! Subbed!
Thats awesome! Thank you I really appreciate that!
Thank you great ideas for rigging. Keep a tight line and enjoy life
from connecticut
Thanks boss!
Thank you for your valuable time and information.
God Bless you, Timothy
You are very welcome

Hi what about saltwater is it working also
Great job thanks for the information
No problem 👍
Side note, I used a treble with an integrated swivel... Never had one spit it either. Great video by the way
Good idea! And thank you!

Thank you! You really just have to match it to the size swimbait! God bless!
Actually used the line thru treble ! This past season, a buddy recommended it, so I game ot a shot. Seemed pretty good
I like it! It’s a different option that seemed to help land more fish in some cases
Tokyo/Gika rig works very well!
Good video!
On the line through rig, is the treble hook hanging from the swimbait or is one hook in the bait?
one in the bait still

Haha yeah that can be a pain! There are a lot of great options that come like that! I just like to customize my own

Great Video and info (New Subscriber 🤙🏼)
Thanks for the sub!
Do you fish the line through with weight? If so, any details?
I do actually! So you put a bullet weight above the treble hook on the bottom
@@JD_Fishing thank you
for the line through, did you know they make needles for sewing??
Any issues tongue hooking the fish with the line-through method?
Not really, I will transition to a more crankbait style rod though for better hookup ratio
Earned a sub from me boss, good stuff straight to the point
Also used a Tokyo rig that came ewg ...funny part...I used a swim bait on it not knowing it wasnt really designed for that purpose.
Worked ok
I really really like it for offshore places that have a bunch of brush and what not
Couldn’t you just use a plain hook to thread the line through and not need a needle?
... I guess I hadnt thought of it like that lol you're a genius!
@@JD_Fishing
👍
You can use a thin straw too
Shopping carts lol 😆 reminds me of fishing as a kid
Right? Haha you never know what you’ll find in a body of water
I really wish someone would come up with a tokyo rig with a screw lock style worm hook. The help so much with prolonging the life of these baits
Might have to work on that!
Make one.
소형 어종 루어없나요?
A weight/bobber stop would probably work also on the line threw in place of the bead. Just an idea
Also true! Good idea!
Hard to beet a MOJO bass rod I have the 7 ft mh spinnerbait model paired with a Curado 70.

I like the coffee straws for that, or small tubing works good
For your tip no. 3 you can use a needle for a syringe.
Unless you make your own.
Lure parts online
Oh my goodness, every body thinks their KVD !!!
