    WAY too much music, NO explanations, WAY too much time spent showing each part, and WAY too much time showing each tool used....absolutely EXCELLENT!!!! Thank you for this video and don't change your format. I rarely ever sign in to give a thumbs up or comment but I had to for this video. I was thinking about getting a shadow 2 and optics but have never done that on a pistol so wanted to see how involved the process was. It is settled, will buy a Shadow 2 and optic. Been an iron sights guy all my life and even in 20 years of military service and just recently tried a red dot sight on my AR and it turned out better than expected. Now time to try this out on a pistol...but have to get one that is optics ready.

    Gotta shake that bottle son. When properly mixed, it will have a solid baby blue color not the translucent dark blue you see on these screws. Stuff lasts almost forever but it does settle so shake before use.

      Just because something is affordable, doesn't always mean it's bad. I have this same sight and it has held zero better than my Vortex and Burris that I had before on a different gun. I actually had a the Swampfox Kingslayer recently and this would be my choice over that as well. The Kingslayer is great but chunky, tall, and doesn't have motion activation. Usually you get what you pay for, but this is a rare case where you get much more.

    • @stephaniewach9097
      @stephaniewach9097 Рік тому

      Thank you for your question! Using an optic, such as a red dot sight, can enhance certain aspects of shooting, like faster target acquisition or the ability to shoot with both eyes open. To become a better shooter, regular practice is key.

    Doesn't this optic use the Docter/Noblex footprint?

    • @reddotsight1013
      @reddotsight1013  23 дні тому

      At Vector Optics, there are several red dot models with the following footprints: Docter/Noblex, Trijicon RMR, Shield RMS, Aimpoint Acro, and C-more RTS. To adapt it to this CZ Shadow 2 Optic Ready pistol, all the necessary adapters are available from CZ.

    Is the Red Dot when using it exactly at the top of the irons? So you dont see your target 100%? Or do you change the position of your to look from a more higher view and "over" the irons?

    Only 2 screws holding the plate to the slide? NOT GOOD. Something Walther addressed with their PDP gun and changed in their new PDP PRO gun...3 screws holes....why ALL gun makers don't agree on ONE set standard of e.g. 4 hopes on the slide staggered. So there would be only ONE mounting plate....simplfy things so much.

    • @reddotsight1013
      @reddotsight1013  Рік тому

      I think the plate on this CZ is certainly the best designed plate I've seen so far. Don't miss my next video on installing a Shield brand red dot sight on a Walther PDP 1.0 ( not a Pro).

  • @stefellbt

    How's the optic holding up so far? And how does it compare to the Trijicon SRO?
    Also sidenote: I noticed the threadlock label was in FR/NL, Belgian?

    • @reddotsight1013
      @reddotsight1013  2 роки тому +2

      It still works well. The only thing you can compare with an SRO is the size of the glass. But you can't compare an SRO that is 4 times more expensive than the one shown in the video. For sport shooting, it works very well. I have a Trijicon RMR2, a Shield RMS2 and the Vector Optics SCRD-36. The best is the RMR2 from Trijicon with a very sharp and bright point. The Shield is twice as expensive as the Vector Optics, but I'm not sure the price of the Shield is justified. The video was made in France.

    • @stefellbt
      @stefellbt 2 роки тому +1

      @@reddotsight1013 Yeah, just getting into IPSC, so an SRO is still overkill for me. Was thinking about either this or the new Shield RMSX which also has a larger viewport.

    • @reddotsight1013
      @reddotsight1013  2 роки тому +1

      @@stefellbt The RMSX is a good choice, the only problem with the large red dots is that you have to be careful to choose the right holster.
