I wonder if those two devices are better at backing up saves than the Retrode2 which I happen to own alongside the GB/A adapter. Backing up saves with that one is a hassle, haven't manage to do it ever since I own it.
Hi Kyle nice video can I give you my opinion (as a constructive commentary hopefully), I'm an electronic student and one of the main features of my degree is hardware development focusing in a lot in pcb design and development (also in embedded system development along side the hardware), hopefully that Joey gen 4 is only a prototype, two things that I spotted immediately during the showcase of your product is that you chose to make some of the tracks (sorry English is not my native language) with 90º degree angle which should avoided as much as possible during pcb design due to stress caused during electron transfer between "point a and point b", also I see that you choose to cover your the pcb with a polygon (probably connected to ground idk you don't disclaim it) nice call on it, but in the middle of the pcb where there is a bigger concentration of tracks there is no polygon connected as you can see by a darker color that can and should be avoided as much as possible either and you can do it using plated via to connect bottom gnd to top layer gnd. Hopefully my commentary was helpful thank you
Buy the latest one, Joey Jr V2++ If you want a cheaper one, there's the gbxcart rw, but I think you need to use their gbxflash with it, so no drag n drop functionality.

TheDanex7 Thanks for your comment and questions! The way that genuine Nintendo game carts are programmed is using MaskROM, which can never be rewritten. Imagine the factory basically laser-etching the hex code into the chip. That's basically how MaskROM works; It can never be reworked to have something else programmed on it. As for the VGAmite, I think that's what my post on my Community page will be about tomorrow - I'll write up a very detailed FAQ about it and when it will be released, as well as why my video is taking so long. 🙂 I'm sorry for not posting about it on your comment. Jay M Hi there, and thank you - I'm glad you enjoyed the video! :) Good question! The Joeys that you see on BV's store page are the same as mine in my Gen3 tutorial video (check my Videos page, 40 min. long video); Two of them are that same style - One with a translucent shell and LED, one with a solid color shell, and the third is a smaller version of the Gen3. The Gen4 unfortunately is not out yet, but it should be available sometime in early 2019. I hope this helps!

No - Reproduction carts lack an RTC module, a clock, which allows for such things. However, there are third-party flash carts that have a clock in them that could do this. Thanks for watching! 👍🏻

Is there any way to find out what region your game belongs to if the cartridge sticker is missing? I've searched everywhere.. Will this program tell you, or is there any other way to tell without the sticker?
It's hard to say because as the gameboy games are free region, there's no CIC (the chip which lock the game region, and it's easy to find the region of a game with a CIC). I guess the game language is not in japanese? If yes, I suppose you would not wonder which region it is. Maybe the PCB serial can help.
