the banham 2002 is a high security, key restricted, hooked bolt locking system with reinforced strike plates and hardened steel locking bolt. great video, I have seen some other breakdown vids on thus lock but none gave the extreme close up to see what the pins actually look like. really great! Thanks
My gosh, I just visited your channel and listened to your story. So glad you made it through such a terrible ordeal. You're obviously an incredibly resilient person and you will certainly emerge stronger. So glad you are part of this incredible community :) Keep picking and having fun :) Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you along the way.
I've had one of these for a few months. I picked it and never thought twice about it. turns out its a pretty cool lock. lol. Awesome video and picking buddy.
tumbl3r sure. Like to try every lock once. Would like to gut it and check it all out first hand. gonna be sending you some stuff shortly just got a,lot of stuff going on lately. Two graduates, little bit under the weather, three-year-old I'm always taking care of the usual family stuff. Haven't held a pick in days. Really need to find a locksmith in my area. I need some weird springs.
Very cool! I got to learn something new again. :D Scared me a little when parts began to tumble out of the lock. :0 Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
I really love your videos because Im constantly learning something, and the locks you feature are absolutely awesome! I really look forword to your new videos and find myself checking quite often :P This looks like a pretty smart mechanism. I dont think you could torque that open like the old smartkeys.
Thanks so much for the kind words. You have no idea how much that means to me. I know I'm not a high-volume channel, but I try to publish videos only on locks that I find interesting in one way or another. I figure if I find them interesting, others will too :)
all your high security picks are truly amazing. So looking forward to your Ingersoll pick. some say they almost impossible although i said that about the bilock too.
Great looking lock and very nicely picked. I have a question though....🤓🤓 If you could replicate the change key then what would stop you inserting a "blank" and zero bitting the lock???🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 Excuse me if it seems a dumb question but I don't see this type of lock on this side of the pond and am trying to get to know them(as I am with most locks)😮🤓🤓😞☺️
Thanks for watching. What you described is essentially the known bypass for these locks. All you have to do is create a change key. Certainly a design issue, but the lock is otherwise clever and extremely well made.
Thanks :) It occurred to me halfway into gutting it that i should have done a search for pics on how they work, but hey... it was fun to experience the drama live and on cam :) Also, thanks for entering the drawing. JP ended up winning.
Thanks Lost! Yeah, it seems anything that would pull that peg out a little would really work for a change key. Glad you enjoy the videos. That means a lot man :)

Thanks man! I had no idea what I was in for getting into it, but it turned out to be an exciting adventure. A clever and well-made lock.
anytime. I'd say so, I had no idea what was in it until I seen this video. its pretty wild how small stuff can be machined nowadays.
A: Interlocking rimmed deadbolt house lock with dimpled flat key.
Very intriguing U-Change mechanism. Thanks for the video!
Glad you liked the vid Roy! Thanks for watching and for entering the drawing. JP ended up winning.
It is a British Mortise Cylinder Hooked deadlock that uses a dimple key. The hooked design of the bolt is there to prevent door spreading.
Nice job. Only heard of it once awhile ago. Nice to actually see one.
Thanks Randy. If I can dig one of these up would you like to try one out?

Really pissed about the Zoo V10's. Thought they would be more than a 6pin lock with 4 passive pins. The name is very misleading.
Cylinder Mortice Deadlock. The U-change system is pretty cool, I took one apart and the rekeying system is pretty interesting!
Thanks EL :) I was surprised at how complex and intricate the mechanism was.
Wow great picking sir! Really cool lock.
Thanks so much Bill! Glad you enjoyed :)
tumbl3r I still have that cliq for you if you want it I think you are the only guy who can do anything with it my friend
Such amazing picking, thanks :-)

Thanks so much Chris! Yeah, I had absolutely no idea what I was in for.
I have a couple of these, need to pick one and see if I can rekey it to an extra key.
Thanks Jeff! Glad to hear you were able to key yours. That's awesome dude!

have 1 and have a change tool also but haven't tried to rekey it
I was thinking of trying to make a rekeying tool. No time as of yet though... Let me know how it goes if you decide to try it.
Great looking lock and very nicely picked.
I have a question though....🤓🤓

Pick Beard great question my friend.
I'd like to see a high-security Corbin Russwin Pyramid cylinder picked. Just to see how long it would take.
Very cool lock and great picking but I'm disappointed: No launch in the vise ! ;)
LOL... Thanks. I'll get back to launching things into the vice soon :)
Great lock. Somthing that intricate looks expencive?
sweet! never seen the inside of one of those. pretty F'n cool.
Hi ya bud, the Banham 2002 is a british dimple mortice lock
Thanks sor entering the drawing. JP ended up winning.
What a really cool lock! I always wondered how these work!!! Banham 2002 is a type of really strong deadbolt system?
Thanks :) It occurred to me halfway into gutting it that i should have done a search for pics on how they work, but hey... it was fun to experience the drama live and on cam :) Also, thanks for entering the drawing. JP ended up winning.
Do I win for saying, expensive and beautiful 😋😉😂😂😂
Well, JP won, but I definitely put you in the drawing :)
well explained, the tool is just a flat piece of metal with a ramp at the tip. keep up the good work I enjoy your videos
Thanks Lost! Yeah, it seems anything that would pull that peg out a little would really work for a change key. Glad you enjoy the videos. That means a lot man :)
