- Phagocytes are involved in non-specific immune response, whereas lymphocytes are involved in specific immune responses. Here we will illustrate what the different types of lymphocytes do and how they collaborate to respond to a pathogen attack.

This was really helpful, thank you! Hard to believe I spent several lessons clueless about this section, and it only took this 7 minute video for me to understand it all!
haha it is a confusing topic that isn't easy to learn, but it's so interesting I could talk about it for hours! It is important to know what the "characters" are first and what they do to fully understand their roles and importance in the "story", hence I made this video specifically for that purpose :) Glad to hear it helped you! Thanks for watching!
I seriously don't know how ur channel hasn't been more successful, your videos break the ideas down so well, and has really helped me feel like I understand this topic, all faster than the several lessons it would normally take irl.
haha really glad to hear that they've helped you! Immunity is a tricky topic with so many different "characters" involved, so breaking it down into chunks helps one to learn the topic well :) Please share it with your friends if the videos will help them too! :D
Brilliant! please make the music quieter or nothing at all it's a bit creepy😄
Glad you find the video helpful :D Yes this is one of my earlier videos, I've been putting the volume of the music down so hopefully it's better now! Thanks for watching :)
@@BioRach Honestly, your videos helped a lot! Thanks
Thank you so much for making these videos, you have no idea how much they help.
My teacher is good, but I sat in a 2 hour lesson and understood close to nothing and yet you've been able to condense practically the whole topic in into 3 five minute videos.
Please Keep making them!!!!
Thank you Megan for your kind words! I'm really glad to hear that they are helping, very encouraging indeed! Thanks for watching and all the best with your studies! :D
i love the ambient sounds
lily chou chou😇
@@allegra. ;)
you are amazing!! you don't even know how much these videos are helping me with understanding and revision :))
aww thank you! I'm glad the videos are helping :D this is a complicated topic... All the best with revision and thanks for watching! :)
These are perfect, especially now that we have stopped lessons! PLEASE MAKE MORE!!!! :D
Glad that you've found the videos helpful! Thanks for watching :D
Great condensed video covering a tricky topic, also loving the drawings of the lymphocytes! :D More videos please!!
haha I was hoping the lymphocytes drawings would help with understanding them! XD Glad you find it useful, thanks for watching! :D
You made it so simple to understand. Thank you so much. Plz keep uploading videos like this.
I'm glad you found them helpful! Thanks for watching :)
my exam is literally today and I am learning the topic for the first time, YOU ARE A LIFESAVER!!!
haha good luck with your exam! :D

Your videos are great for better understanding, thanks so much for making the journey easier!
Incredibly helpful, thanks so much!
Glad to be of help! Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for an amazing video xx
Glad it helps! :D
Is peforin for lysis of pathogens as you said or apoptosis of virus- and cancer-infected cells? I've heard both.
This music putting anyone else to sleep?
so a B cell does not work without T cell ?
so B cells are pretty much phagocytes which form APC but don't do anything unless Th with specific receptor bind which activates B cell form antibodies ????
Yes! But keep in mind that this is simplification for A-level, the actual immune system is a lot more complicated (in a wonderful way)!
i think you missed clonal selection and
clonal expansion-there on the spec
Please refer to the video on humoral immunity in this Ch.12 playlist! :)
so T cells and B cells both have same function just differentiate in different places?
Not quite, they do have slightly different roles in the immune system.
@@BioRach oh right so how do they differ ?
thanks for your time i appreciate it as I'm finding it super hard to distinguish the 2 and understand how the 2 interact together ?
Is phagocytosis a non-specific response?
Yes, phagocytosis is a non-specific response since it does not target specific pathogens. Rather, it engulfs anything that has a foreign antigen.
