To add a bit to the cell-mediated response for people reading the comments, the infected cell presents the antigen via the MHC-I (instead of the MHC-II of the APC cells) and the T-killer lymphocyte uses the CD8 receptor for that antigen

This was insanely precise. I love that you follow such a linear path for something involving a lot of steps at once. Seriously thank you thank you thank you. I've watched a lot of good videos on immunity but yours was the only one to truly make it fully understandable.
Can't begin to express how excited I am to have come across your channel! 60 slides all explained in one amazing video, and everything just clicked in my head. Thanks Siebert!!
You are definably not a good actor, but an amazing teacher. love the ways you show us how things work and every time I am in a new chapter at school I look for your videos before I read the book to have a precise comprehension of what the book talks about.. Once again THANK YOU for your videos
I've been trying to get my head around this topic for months now and I stumbled across this video, ive never heard it explained so well and so precisely yet in a way so easy to understand. You're an extraordinary teacher, THANKS!
Thank you so much. I have spent hours looking for videos to help me on this topic and now you have made it crystal clear in my head. Please continue to make more videos they help so much
I have been researching this topic over the past week for an assignment, struggling to find anything as clear and helpful as this video by a mile. This video literally feels like the best video on the whole internet for explaining B cell and T cell functions and specific immune responses in general. The detail is perfect, the whole video flows. Thank you so much, I really appreciate your work!
My god, what a crystal clear explanation for such a convoluted concept, spent the whole afternoon trying to understand the humoral response until I came across your video, many thanks!
I got frustrated learning about immune system, but your video is truly a big help for me to understand it better. Hopefully u will continue making new videos cause I gonna be a big fan of your
What an attractive and genius way of presenting!! Please continue doing it for other parts of pathology and physiology. You made the subject matter very edible 😀😀😀
Reviewing my Physiology notes to take my TEAS exam. I looked through so many videos that were either too complex or too simple. This was perfect! Loved the artwork and the clean separation of processes. Thank you!!!
Please continue making these videos. Once I learned about your channel, I can't stop watching them to learn more! Very concise and easy to digest diagrams (they are also very cute) Thank you so much
You are wonderful ... clear and crisp ... wish youtube present u to the needful learners in the manner how our cells present the antigens for betterment of body :)
I'm a very visual learner and the way you drew it all out and separated the different processes! thank you for finally helping my brain understand this topic :) If I get an A on my exam today I can thank you!!
I watched several videos from other people about this topic, and I was 😵💫 until I found yours. Your video is GREAT, and I just subscribed. Thank you !!!
I Spent a week trying to figure this out and u explained it in a few minutes. You are truly a teacher indeed. Can you couple this with the Mac 1 and two? Omg you are good. I have hope now of passing this section of the exam tomorrow!
I'm not a Bio major but this is probably the best video explaining anything ever. Helps me understand research I'll have to read for my extra-credit assignment. Thanks!
I've been watching a couple of videos on the Immune System and I could easily admit that you're the Phil Jackson of Immunology. Well, Phil Jackson with a touch of DiCaprio (nice fake acting lol). You've mastered the act of transferring knowledge. Thank you!!!
Your videos have single handedly taught me all of the systems that we need to know for the MCAT! I never took anatomy as its not required for us and when I started studying I had regrets on not taking it, but man your videos on the immune system, digestive, respiratory, circulatory and kidneys have literally taught me everything!!! Your videos are so well put together and so easy to follow I hope UA-cam pays you a million dollars a year for your services :) Question about the immune system: So what is the difference between MHC-II and MHC-I? Are MHC-II's only present on macrophages? Seriously thank you x 1000 and I hope to use your videos throughout medical school once I make it there :)
I watched the lymphatic system video and now this … and I want to watch the blood one next. For the very first time I’m finding human body systems fascinating. Never had such a great teacher before. I might have gone into medicine if I had had videos like this in my younger life! Now I’m going to use them to teach my kids!
You have definitely help and educate me so so much with your videos. You are the best with the You analyses and make it look very simple to understand. Thank u so much.
very clear and specific video, just hoped you would take about the types of interferones and the "component system" too. This would have helped to be even more complete. Maybe talking about the NK-cells too but overall very very good video
When you're taking a 6 week online accelerated A&P 2 class before nursing school starts-- you're freaking out and then you find Siebert Science. I may pass now. THANK YOU. lol
To add a bit to the cell-mediated response for people reading the comments, the infected cell presents the antigen via the MHC-I (instead of the MHC-II of the APC cells) and the T-killer lymphocyte uses the CD8 receptor for that antigen
Thank you it was actually helpful
Fantastic lecture and comments.
But T8 lymphocytes need T4 lymphocytes so how did T4 lymphocytes get activated if they don't recognize CMH1

actually mhc1 attaches with cd8+ and the antigen which is represented binds with TCR

I’d love to do biochemistry someday. But this isn’t my job…I do all this stuff in my spare time, so I’m pretty limited in how much content I can make.
