We get the increase but our rent went up and our SNAP Benefits immediately got cut, I don’t understand how SSI or SSDI recipients make to much money to qualify for SNAP Benefits but young women who don’t work get full benefits. We can't afford to get our own place unless it's a low income place and there is long list to wait. So we have to live with other people that we don't really want to live with. Everytime we get a cost of living raise ,they take it away (plus more) in every areas. Snap is lowered or stops. Insurance coverage is taken away, ect. They want us to stay in proverty, because of a 34 dollar raise at the first of the year, it has caused almost a 400 hundred dollar loss.

At least, at least $200 t9 $300 a month, so we can pay bills, transportation, rent oh and that the rent don't go up at all when they give this increase and that food stamps don't go down either, that's to help pay for outrageous food prices to feed us at least for the month, then we have laundry expenses for 1 to 4 persons in household, check is not weekly, it's monthly, maybe if social security would send 2 checks a month every 15 days that would help, food stamps twice a month so we have food every 15 days, fresh everything, we could have money for toiletries, clothes , bed sheets, etc, shoes ,sneakers winter boots, etc. We don't have enough money left over to safe for a week vacation, to visit family, go to an amusement park or the movies because prices are $20 to $65 per person, a taxi costs $20 to $70 to go to an appt, etc. Trains and busses are dangerously unsafe and scarry, rents must get frozen for at least every 2 years for low income families and seniors, things are getting too expensive and food too, changes must get done, thank you.😊

I lived in Colorado all my life. I requested my refund to go direct deposit. But The Colorado State of Revenue is sending it out by mail. I would think that sending you your check direct deposit would make more sense. If you send it by mail, the post man could easily put your check in the wrong mail box and somebody could pretend to be you and not just steal your money, but your identity too. But that's just my opinion.
