I got my first rattlesnake last night! Im rocking tech 2 heavy missiles but have cruise missiles traning, currently 920 dps, hoping I will be effective still without cruise missiles.... super excited to use this beast 🎉
Also, for the reload issue, I would set 2 groups and counter activate them to kind of cover the gap a little. Some dps all the time seems better than no dps for 35 seconds to me.
Hey. It actually is not 211HP/s The 211s means 211seconds till the shield is recharged. U would have to click above there and select the passive shield recharge to see how much HP u recharge per second. Those small mistakes u do with the fitting window are kind of driving me nuts XD But else u got some cool and interesting videos to watch. Keep it up!

My fit is sitting at 1.9B which I consider reasonable for a Rattlesnake lol. A module you might consider are the cheaper Hiva's instead of DDA 2's. With a 2 for 2 swap I'm getting about 50 more dps and they are only around 7mil each.

@@Smooj not against players, as that if they want to kill you, they will for sure field enough dps to bring you down, this is wormhole not nullsec where they would feed first then bring everything they have (pretty much), but against those npcs, you certainly dont have to worry much about them (also you dont have to fight if you watch dscan and beware and actually roll hole before ratting, just a tip)

I havent seen the entire video yet but I can tell you that if you bling out the rattle, both passive or active tank can hold even against C5 passive c5 for some data or relic sites, knowing what sleeper to pop and orbiting a mobile depo can get you around 75-150isk per site know this though, you MUST have bookmarks and safe spots and know what sleeper to pop in the eventuality that you "get ganked" also know that sleepers attack the top threat so if you have no guns, you will be least threat in field if you get ganked, take this intel with a grain of salt and remember the "cheapest" rattle costs about 1.5bil
So umm what about the scannable combat sites in this C3 for example "forgotten frontier recursive depot" dps in there reaches 1400 can this fit handel that site ?
You can make the tank much better by replacing two shield chargers with two shield extenders and two field purger rigs with two field extender rigs. You get double the shield hp and 15% more hp/second recharge.Maybe replace one power relay with a damage control as well.
12:22- maybe I am wrong but that "211s" DOES NOT mean you recharge your shield BY 211points per sec, but rathrer that you NEED 211 SECONDS to fully recharge the shield to 100%. you need to click on "No Module" thingy above that and select "passive recharge", which, by my calculations is about 110 points per second.
That's true for the passive shield recharge rate, correct. I sometimes make mistakes like this, despite KNOWING better - just talking as I record, I sometimes don't think 100% straight! Thank you for correcting me here!
It is almost impossible to be fully capped out ... if that happens, it usually last 1-2 seconds and even if not enough capacitor, ship will still warp out, not for the full distance, but for a short distance, enough to get away and warp out again
This isn't strictly true. You need a minimum amount to warp at all, and if you're at zero, you cannot activate at all. It's often possible to warp if you can time it so the warp drive activates when you have 1+GJ of Capacitance, but if enough ships are neuting you, it is possible to stop the warp entirely.
You cannot warp at zero capacitor. You have to wait until you have at least 1GJ of Capacitor available. It's rare, but it's enough to hold you in a pinch.
@@captainbenzie Ok so from what I have seen you need .001 cap to warp that means you would have to have like 100 ships all nueting you at the same time and even then you could probably still get out. I have not yet seen any scenario where a ship couldn’t warp because they didn’t have enough cap but if you have seen that happen please share it.

Because there's the Caldari State Scorpion. The lore of the ship is it's not certain who actually designed it. Was it originally The Rabbit who made it and then Otro Garushi modified those plans for the Scorpion, or did the Guristas steal the Scorpion design and modify it

Names don't mean a thing, though. It's possible that the blueprints were sold before production, or that the Rabbit designed a ship and chose a name that he felt fitted, then the Caldari Navy chose a name that doesn't really fit their aesthetic on names (birds and mythical animals) based on the shape.
Or the Rabbit is anTroll by heart. "Let me design this sick ship that looks like a scorpion completly with claws and stinger. Awesome, let me name it after an animal without any limbs, that will make people really wonder."
for 500-600mil more you can buy a marauder for c3 instead, and before someone says "that's overkill", are you really gonna turn down faster money just cause its "too fast"? it is 600mil/hr, so in three hours of ratting you are isk positive, and with scouting of the chain/getting people to sit at holes you suspect might have people come through, you are as safe as can be the rattlesnake isn't even that good dps wise, you could have a better time in a blinged out praxis or tengu, maybe even a proteus or raven navy, so no, the rattle is definitely not very good
only real good thing the rattle has going for it is that it is one hell of a brick tank wise, so you can hold out long enough if you are attacked, but that point is moot anyways cuz usually if someone wants to kill you, they WILL do their best to kill you, for example by bringing more than one ship
Whilst you have somewhat of a point, here's a few counterpoints: 1) I showcase multiple options so that folks can fly what they find fun. Not everyone wants to fly a Marauder. 2) "500-600m" isn't a small amount to a lot of people. For C3 ratting, that's 15 more sites to run before you break even on cost 3) Even with hole watching, what do you do if a fleet suddenly jumps in and goes for the Marauder as you point out in the first examplr? You're in Bastion. You're not warping off. That fleet lands on you and rips you to shreds whilst your mates muster a defense. 3bn down the drain. With the Rattle, if you spot them on D-Scan and are aligned, there's at least a chance to escape.
fair points, i don't mean to come out as "just use this" (unless if its really bad, but even then its your decision like flying a blaster rokh for c3 or something), but want to mention some other alternatives if the goal is to just squeeze as much isk as possible 500-600mil is not a small amount sure, but you double or triple the isk/hr you would expect from flying any other standard option like a t3c or battleship, that is nothing to scoff at (plus, c3 marauder's main benefit would be that it acts as a bridge to saving up for a c5 marauder instead) third point, a c3 marauder is 1.8bil, if a c5 marauder is flown into c3 the loss is deserved for the hubris also, in the case of a hostile jumping into system, that is not plausible, because if you scout out any connects 1j out beforehand, and there are red flags like active structures or unknown ships, its worth not bringing out the marauder. that is step one and 90% of your safety measures done. next, for even more safety scout on hole to call out splashes almost guarantees safety, because rarely a hostile will be flying in a fast tackle ship right as they jump in, and even if they are it takes time to sift through the anomalies to find you, giving you at least 5 or so seconds before they know where you are, another 3 or so (being very generous to the hostile here) to align, and around a minute to warp to you. by this time, your bastion will be off, and you will be able to mjd or warp off even then, a neutral will only start off in tackle ship if they know the hole you are in was active beforehand, which is only possible if you did poor scouting or people sitting on holes didn't report and previous splashes. rageroll is another candidate... but who ragerolls c3 sites? even if they do, same process applies it's not foolproof sure, things do happen, but you are guaranteed to make a sizeable amount of money before you really have to go. it might also be worth having a very cheap high tank refit in cargo purely to buy your mates time to kill tackle and to let you warp off that's my two cents though, its definitely riskier, but tripling the profits seems like a very good investment to me if one is willing to take the risk and the appropriate measures

What Ishtar fit are you running? I really struggled running the Ishtar in C3s (did a video on it and I'd love to revisit it) and no way I could get it to run the harder C3 sites like the Outpost, which this absolutely blitzes

I was going to suggest those damage models also ... they work great with Gila and Rattlesnake . Worm too I suppose but never thought to try.
My rattlesnakes are named Ouroborus and Nasferatatouille, which regenerates their shields at 1820 EHP/s.

This is a much better fit. Much more EHP to survive a high dps ganker long enough to maybe kill them (or have your EC drones land a jam).

Yup, this is kept cheap for C3s, but I have a new fit that's soloing C4/5s!
The Gecko? Double edge sword, in my opinion. Expensive and sometimes can be lost in certain sites. However, for PVP, they are almost a necessity.
They are very good. I wouldn't use one in PvP though 😅

It clears faster, and can do more sites beyond. It's also a little harder to gank.

I still use this and it works fine. Increase your missile skills, might simply be that they don't see the main ship as enough of a threat
@@captainbenzie yeah I thought that could have been the issue, but after doing some digging on reddit, I found out that it’s just an old bug. All I have to do is warp to a celestial, eject from my ship, then board it and the rats should no longer target the gecko haha. Keep up the amazing content!

Because there's the Caldari State Scorpion. The lore of the ship is it's not certain who actually designed it. Was it originally The Rabbit who made it and then Otro Garushi modified those plans for the Scorpion, or did the Guristas steal the Scorpion design and modify it

Names don't mean a thing, though. It's possible that the blueprints were sold before production, or that the Rabbit designed a ship and chose a name that he felt fitted, then the Caldari Navy chose a name that doesn't really fit their aesthetic on names (birds and mythical animals) based on the shape.

for 500-600mil more you can buy a marauder for c3 instead, and before someone says "that's overkill", are you really gonna turn down faster money just cause its "too fast"? it is 600mil/hr, so in three hours of ratting you are isk positive, and with scouting of the chain/getting people to sit at holes you suspect might have people come through, you are as safe as can be
the rattlesnake isn't even that good dps wise, you could have a better time in a blinged out praxis or tengu, maybe even a proteus or raven navy, so no, the rattle is definitely not very good
only real good thing the rattle has going for it is that it is one hell of a brick tank wise, so you can hold out long enough if you are attacked, but that point is moot anyways cuz usually if someone wants to kill you, they WILL do their best to kill you, for example by bringing more than one ship
Whilst you have somewhat of a point, here's a few counterpoints:
1) I showcase multiple options so that folks can fly what they find fun. Not everyone wants to fly a Marauder.
2) "500-600m" isn't a small amount to a lot of people. For C3 ratting, that's 15 more sites to run before you break even on cost
3) Even with hole watching, what do you do if a fleet suddenly jumps in and goes for the Marauder as you point out in the first examplr? You're in Bastion. You're not warping off. That fleet lands on you and rips you to shreds whilst your mates muster a defense. 3bn down the drain. With the Rattle, if you spot them on D-Scan and are aligned, there's at least a chance to escape.
fair points, i don't mean to come out as "just use this" (unless if its really bad, but even then its your decision like flying a blaster rokh for c3 or something), but want to mention some other alternatives if the goal is to just squeeze as much isk as possible
500-600mil is not a small amount sure, but you double or triple the isk/hr you would expect from flying any other standard option like a t3c or battleship, that is nothing to scoff at (plus, c3 marauder's main benefit would be that it acts as a bridge to saving up for a c5 marauder instead)
third point, a c3 marauder is 1.8bil, if a c5 marauder is flown into c3 the loss is deserved for the hubris
also, in the case of a hostile jumping into system, that is not plausible, because if you scout out any connects 1j out beforehand, and there are red flags like active structures or unknown ships, its worth not bringing out the marauder. that is step one and 90% of your safety measures done. next, for even more safety scout on hole to call out splashes almost guarantees safety, because rarely a hostile will be flying in a fast tackle ship right as they jump in, and even if they are it takes time to sift through the anomalies to find you, giving you at least 5 or so seconds before they know where you are, another 3 or so (being very generous to the hostile here) to align, and around a minute to warp to you. by this time, your bastion will be off, and you will be able to mjd or warp off
even then, a neutral will only start off in tackle ship if they know the hole you are in was active beforehand, which is only possible if you did poor scouting or people sitting on holes didn't report and previous splashes. rageroll is another candidate... but who ragerolls c3 sites? even if they do, same process applies
it's not foolproof sure, things do happen, but you are guaranteed to make a sizeable amount of money before you really have to go. it might also be worth having a very cheap high tank refit in cargo purely to buy your mates time to kill tackle and to let you warp off
that's my two cents though, its definitely riskier, but tripling the profits seems like a very good investment to me if one is willing to take the risk and the appropriate measures

Totally not worth it, I’ve been doing forts in an active Ishtar in less than 10 mins
What Ishtar fit are you running? I really struggled running the Ishtar in C3s (did a video on it and I'd love to revisit it) and no way I could get it to run the harder C3 sites like the Outpost, which this absolutely blitzes
@@captainbenzie yeh you can only strictly use for the forts, but i live in busy space so i normally run 2 go home and come back etc.
this will do all forts very easy. will erasily run 3-4 an hour

i have one of these for blood fobs.. it tanks like a mofo.. even with large defence fleets. they have NEVER gotten me below 40% shields
