    This may sound crazy, but i talk to my body. I tell it, thanks for holding up so well with all it's had to go through all these years. With fasting, i tell it that its probably not understanding why im doing this, but it really is the right thing to do, so hang in there and its going to be okay. Also, drink lots of water!!

    Interesting. I started fasting (16:8) January 2019 and lost 10 kg that year, slowly slowly. Kept on because it suits me. But 2022 I gained 5 kg and can’t get it off?? I’ve tried 72hrs water fasting and 36 hrs these last weeks. Nothing happens. I’m confused, frustrated and unhappy.

    Funny how eating too little food never enters into the equation. If you eat to little and you have eaten too little for a long time it is that lack of food that equates to a break down of the body. If you eat years of 1000 calories when you should consume 2000+ and you are exercising for years where is the “repair” going to come from? I have seen many older women including myself doing this very thing. Switched to carnivore and pushing high quality meat and fat has made a huge difference for me. Using meat as a priority and 20:4 for repair things are getting better.

      @DyAnnParham  6 місяців тому +8

      so happy you have found what is working for you...that is key. Carnivore is not for everyone...and that is the beauty of creating an authentic life...it is authentic to you.

      @DyAnnParham I agree.. I did earlier for 2 months plus and in the 8th week I had suddenly lost 5 kg. But I can't go keto for that long due to social reasons - wish my wife was doing it as well. It's tough to do it strictly for two 2 months. I am not saying keto dont work but honestly- I think the frequent meal diet probably works better for people who arnt too disciplined with carb control because most packed and mascular guys I meet in the gym don't do keto or IF - they eat 6 low oil diet meals (mostly eggs and chicken breast with olive oil) per day. Any thoughts ?

    I realize I was eating way too many carbs, too often, though I thought they were “healthy carbs,”with a low-fat diet. Just continued to get thicker and sicker, with more hypothyroid symptoms.
    Discovered IF three months ago, changed to nutrient-dense OMAD /20/4 IF. Fatigue and joint pain are gone -which is huge in itself.
    Slowly losing PM thickness, which is frustrating, but at least headed in the right direction for a change.
    Long-term hypothyroidism is a beast to contend with, though. Hoping some longer fasts might help meds work again.
    Best wishes to all on this journey. It’s easy to become frustrated with slow progress, but I know we’re on the right path. ❤️

    People tell me that if I'm eating one meal a day and Im not taking in the number of calories that my body needs, I'll lower my metabolism. I'm afraid of this help! Should I be logging my food in my fit bit app so I know how manycalories i'm getting? When should we take our vitamins and collagen?
    Can we have a bit of cream in our coffee at our one meal after 20 hours? Are we really going to be able to eat OMAD everyday?
    What about going to the bathroom... should we expect NOT to have a bowel movement if we're not eating enough calories?
    I'm so confused.
    I see on your list tilapia fish, what about cod n flounder or halibut ? Can we have these white fish as well?
