DUDE THAT WAS CRAZY GOOD!!ON THAT TANK!!👍👍 ... WOW !!LOOKS LIKE I WILL BE ORDERING THIS GUN TOO!! OUT OF ALL YOUR BLOGS, THE 2.0 WB SEEMS TO TO BE THE ONE YOU SHOW SOME EXTRA AMOUNT OF HEIGHTENED ENTHUSIASM FOR !
Hi Randy, These are all good, and it certainly depends on what the painter wants and likes as to what is better. I like the WB as it's really fast, which you would expect from 2.0 , I didn't think it would work that well for clear coat, but it certainly does, you will not find a better made gun anywhere than theses, they are superbly engineered, cheers mate 👍
Pete, I am learning a lot from your videos! Thank you. One of your videos mentioned an ebay discount code for Meiji that expired at some point in 2023. Just wondering if there is a new code that is current? Thank you, Bob
Hi Bob, no, paintingtool.jp didn't give me another code, if you send them a message on Instagram or email paintingtool.jp@gmail.com they may be available to help. Just explain about watching the videos and a discount code, maybe they can do something 🤔, cheers Bob ✌️
Hi Pete, which gun tip size would you recommend for spraying acid catalused paints , lacquer paint and polyurethane paints for wood wood working. I was thinking the finer force in1.6, but I would like to here your recommendations I like repairing old furniture and kitchen cabinets etc
Hi mate, I'm not familiar with the paint you mention, but often furniture materials require a larger tip than automotive. What's the recommended tip size on the data sheets?
Hi David, I'm sure it would be fine. However, it seems such a shame to use the Swiss watch of sprayguns on primer/sealer 😅, its a brilliant fast little HS clear gun, though 😉
Hi Pete, thanks for this comparison video. However maybe you could guide me a little bit in the right direction. I mostly work woth the heavy equipment like excavators, wheel loaders, tricks etc. and I'm looking in to upgrading my gun as for now it is Star SMP with 1.4mm nozzle and it works quite good but I want to level up the quality of the paint job. My goal is to get that more mirror like less orange peel like finish. I use mostly 2k acryl colors though and maybe once or twice a year a need to shoot base metalic coat and clear coat. Which one of these you would suggest me to go? I'm leaning towards the R model but not quite sure. Thank you, Roberts
Hi Robert, The R is a good all-rounder and would do what you wanted, but I would no rule out the B. That would be my choice, I think, for 2k solid colours and clears
@@peteshobbies5383 I assume that with the B the speed could be increased comparing to R and at the end of the day it wouldn't hurt to get one more gun for the metalics.
@robertsr.9714 The B would still do metallics. Just turn the fluid in a little. I always think it's best to get something that covers most of what you do or want to do. Certainly, for 2k direct gloss, I would say the B is better
@@peteshobbies5383 well thank you Pete, I will go with the B instead, by the way if you compare the B with the T atomisation, is it a huge difference there?
Hey Pete, I have a question, I need a gun that can meet all my needs from color or metallic pearl coating, clear coating and 2k color, so which one would be more optimal?
Hi mate, I would go towards the B if you like a faster gun or the R if you don't mind taking a little time, the R is better for your basecoats and the B is better for your 2k colour and clear coats, hope that helps 👍
Hi Buddy, I have the Finer 2 plus, and it's a very good gun, but the finer force is a more modern gun, slightly smaller pattern good atomisation. I guess it depends on price also, it they are the same, I wouldn't go with the Finer Force all-rounder. If the Finer 2 is cheaper, by a reasonable margin, I would go with that, as it's very good 👍
Pete, another question about the FINER CORE. Do you consider what Meiji calls a "head base" and what the rest of the world calls a baffle to be a commonly needed replacement part. Until the X5500 Sata used such a gasket and DeVilbiss still does on the DV1. These from time to time need to be changed out. I ask this question as I'm wondering if I should order spare "head bases" to go along with the spray guns. What do you think?
Hi Sataman, I wouldn't class it as a wearable part, really, it's more to deflect air than seal. I guess it depends on the price. Some of these parts aren't expensive, but the shipping can be so if they aren't expensive, then maybe get a spare. I haven't needed to replace mine yet, but I'm using lots of different guns, so they aren't used loads and loads. It's a fairly hard plastic, so it should last well
Hi Pete, great video and an interesting watch, it always surprises me how the Meiji guns seem to use bigger tip sizes compared to the other big players out there, when you hear that the gun has a 2.0mm tip you normally think that it would be a primer gun but that isn't the case here as it's mainly for water base paints🤔but I don't think I would like to put primer through a quality gun like that plus I think it would be slower compared to FLG5 or the Sata 100b primer guns. They are all nice looking guns which you can see are really good quality, I'm still hoping to own one at some point, thanks Pete🙏👍
Hi John, Yes, it does take some getting used to with the bigger tips, although Iwata make a Kiwami 1 with a 1.8 for waterbourn paints. The WB 2.0 is a little firecracker and a brilliant little fast clear gun, without doubt, these are the best made guns I own followed by the Finer Core. Cheers John, hope alls well 👍
Yeah it seems so wrong to be using a 2.0 tip for basecoat but Meiji know what they are doing and I assume the aircap is designed especially for that tip so it atomises the base without overloading it on the panel. All goo here thanks Pete trying to get myself back on track after the losses lately, next thing I have to do is get the grass cut and there is a lot of it out the front of my house as well, can't wait🙄😒 I assume you are where you said the other day by now mate, hope it's going ok🤔👍
Hey Pete. 🤔Are all the tips and needles interchangeable? Because if they are, you'd have a 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0 of every one of those guns. Let me know your findings🙂
@@peteshobbies5383 Now that is pretty cool. I was supposed to ask... Between the Finer Force and the Finer Core which do you think is a better gun? You've already said that the Finer Force seems to be the most refined build-wise, but as for spray quality I would like to know your thoughts.
@brownlino9988 They are appealing to different markets really, the Finer Core, although small, is aiming at the full-size centre pot gun markets, the Finer Force is a midi size gun with a side cup, spray quality wise they are as good as each other although there are more choices with the Finer Force
@@peteshobbies5383 I guess the last thing I have to ask is this. Is the paint savings for the Finer Force and Finer Core any more or less than something like the Walcom Carbonio 360 or the Sagola 4600 Xtreme? 🤔
@brownlino9988 They are a totally different types of gun, both the Walcom and Sagola are much faster so more suited to the painter that wants speed with a very good finish, the Meijis put out less material and are generally aimed as the chap that want more control and precision with less speed, they would also waste less material

Hi pete. I used the type R for base coat until clear coat. But i dont like when i used to spray candy tone colors. Maybe i need the T cap
Hi buddy, They do all spray a little different, so it certainly worth experimenting with different setups, although it's quite costly
