Annie is based on the CPR doll originally called Rescue Anne, or Annie. And “Are you OK” is one of the first steps to assessing whether to perform CPR on someone, Michael had one of these dolls in the studio with him
When michael was taking his CPR classes the doll was named Annie and you would have to ask Annie are you OK over and over so mike too inspiration and used it for this song
I’ve been to 3 of his concerts. 2 of his and 1 with his brothers. They will be some of my best memories of my ENTIRE life! Please check out his song Ghost. It’s perfect for the Halloween season. It’s like Thriller but modern and about ghosts! It’s AMAZING!

Written in 1985, all on youtube. He wanted a 1930s gangster style song. The Bad 25 Official Documentary (2012) Explains it. Dr Phil had a woman who claimed she was the reall Annie and Michael had a vision and it must have been written about her lol because when it came out, in 87/88 , she lost consciousness for one reason or another and was revived back to life.. Her name was Annie...... she was a nutcase lol its hilarious but i feel sorry for people like her. Dr Phil Annie. Look it up!!!!!!!
