Seeing these videos makes me sad. The stupidity, ignorance or complete disregard of the law of these people, because of their selfishness. Inconvenience others with no respect for the safety of other people. Put jail time for repeat offenders, or put a hefty penalty like in Singapore. Our government can raise funds quickly with these stupid people.
I've never noticed how uneducated the drivers are in this country until you pointed them out in your videos. Every ticket should come with a mandatory seminar about the rules of the road.
The amount of people who don't/never follow the law is astonishing. It's literally same stuff, different day. You'll always have content!

has the right to drive any vehicle without proper documentation.
If the national or local government are really serious in getting rid of hazzards (illegal parking, illegal dwellers, illegal build, etc..) on their streets, they have to think outside the box rules/laws to implement that deal directly with the problem on hand. One way is to train and deputized groups/teams of people to focus in consistently enforcing the laws. That's everyday, rain or shine including weekends. Once the area is clean, the national or provincial government will also form a group of lawyers to prosecute barangay officials who neglected their duties to clean up their areas of responsibility. If the laws are apply consistently without any preferable treatment, there would be more than enough money to collect from law breakers to fund an entire batallion of law enforcers and lawyers. What do you think?

A lot of people really don't seem to think the MMDA will impound their vehicle. Often they'll hold out until the very last second, before they comply.
Sometimes they leave it too late, because once the towing process has started, they won't stop anymore.

I hope MMDA operates in Ermita & Malate too,most of tricycle drivers counterflows,motorcycle drivers not wearing helmets and in slippers,I don't know if they have drivers license and lots of illegal parking here too.
Here in GCC...if you get caught driving without a license...Automatically you will be in jail...

Parents should be arrested for endangering child’s safety. Considered child abuse.
The children's safety on motorcycle act of 2015 has some pretty expensive penalties.
But ultimately, many enforcers won't put those more expensive violations on the ticket, because they feel bad for the weight of the penalty on the parents 🤷♂️

GA has been uploading MMDA videos for a few years now, yet in most videos there are often people riding motorcycles without licenses. We don't seem to be trying to get to the root cause by not selling to individuals without licenses and just depending on their lack of road use knowledge to be caught by an enforcer.
You can't buy a new bike or car in the Philippines without a licence.
@@abritabroadinthephilippines Well someone's selling the bikes to the people that GA shows are riding without one. Either 2nd hand or stolen. Either way it should be investigated, but I'm not hopeful about that.
I don't think it's a lack of knowledge, because they know a license, helmet and shoes are required.
They just don't expect to be apprehended, because outside of special operations, those kind of things are often ignored.
MMDA enforce the law, they don't make the law.
Even if you manage to force dealers to look for a license before selling the bike, I can guarantee you that it many people will just ask their friends to buy it on their behalf, or they'll buy a used motorcycle.
Is it still worth imposing a requirement like that? Yes, maybe. But It won't be a magic overnight cure.
DILG should do its part by meting punishments and filing cases against barangay captains who are remiss on their duty/ies
Hi GA, I appreciate your videos. It’s great that you are able to document our MMDA officers doing their job. Just a quick question, how can I file a complaint for illegally parked trucks in our area? We have reported to Barangay Manresa (the brgy captain in your video), but there is no action from his office.
If you already reported it to the Barangay and CIty, and no action was taken, you can force action by using the Presidential Complaints Center (8888 hotline)

Law must be passed requiring proof of parking before anyone can purchase a vehicle. Like in Japan...

motorcycle side mirrors get stolen a lot. some remove them when parked, install it when going to ride.
They are riding with no mirrors tho.

These kamotes are expert in aerodynamics and mirrors slows down their motorcycle, so they remove them. Plus pogi points.

It's my 14 days here in the Philippines & I've seen so many of them have their children ride a motorcycle with them even a baby! It's so sad ! The parents are not thinking their children safety at all
Then if they get into an accident and somebody dies, the driver of the other vehicle get jailed for reckless driving resulting to multiple homicide. Crazy law we got here.

It's surprising they don't check for valid insurance!
You need insurance to buy a years worth of insurance before you can renew your registration.
If you have a valid registration, you also have at least the minimum insurance required by law.
the price of the ticket should be increased if it's just 2-5k with towing fees it should be raised to about 10-15k that would make them stop and think everytime they park their cars.

idk why drivers/riders still uses a motor vehicle when they dont have a license. i was apprehended once and didnt even drive even if the LTO issued a TOP. i just commuted to get my license at the LTO office.

ownership is different from priviledge to drive. pwede ka naman mag own ng kotse kahit wla kang license, eg. may driver ka or gift mo sa family mo.

First, all these motorbikes that supposedly have unlicensed drivers. I conclude some may have, or had a license in the past, but still have unpaid tickets. Secondly, I hope dealerships are being strict with sales and selling only to licensed buyers.

There are plenty of people who got a "new" license, to avoid paying for their old tickets.
There are penalties for double license, but I've never personally seen it enforced against anyone.
@@GadgetAddict I have to shake my head if they actually say that they have "new" license because it implies a new identity? I dont think I can can a "new" license here in the US. I can renew because of a soon to be expired license. And the enforcer should question the offender about a "new" license. Something is fishy here.
Usually they'll tweak their details just a little and apply for a new license.
The violator won't actually tell the enforcer that he has a double license.
@@GadgetAddict I still dunno how its even possible to tweak your details because the person is already in some sort of system. The driver's license employee should be able to find any unpaid fines and deny the applicant. We both know it would not happen in the US or UK.
Any case, it would seem it could happen in the PH. It makes me feel less confident in the system and all these operations be endless.

Ang magiging problema kapag hinila mo ang trailer na iyan ay ang paghinto nito sa traffic. Ang bigat ng trailer na iyan ay siguradong itutulak ka niyan pag ptrno mo at lamang na lamang na maka aksidente ang humihila niyan. Sana alam ng driver ng TOW TRUCK ang ginagawa niya kung sakali na hihilahin niya itong trailer. Sigurado ako sa aking sinasabi dito.

I'm not aware of any national law that prohibits it. Although it's generally not recommended for safety reasons.
Not tank top or shorts but there is a law that all riders must wear shoes (and obviously a helmet), even the passenger.

They should pass a bill or law anyone caught using non plates /stickers etc license should be revoke. You will see the results better. No discipline.

I guess it depends on the exact wording of the bill. I haven't read it yet.
But if there's nothing surprising that's been buried inside the bill, I think there could be a high possibility that it passes.
The practicality of actually implementing and enforcing it would be the real challenge.
Unfortunately buying a vehicle is a privelege that if people who can afford an item they have the right to buy it since some smart ass will just have to argue that he will park it on paid zones and it will definitely conflict the Consumers ultimate right to purchase. Dont know how to push it but it's a good law pero malabo mangyare.
