Thanks for the info. I was looking for more info on this and reddit led me here. Unfortunately there are alot of guys selling $4000-10k courses or mentorships on this stuff and I stay far away because it's a cool way to put you in debt without even winning your first contract.
Hi Derek - Red the book enjoyed the insights ! What steps do you take to set the standard for and actively manage communication between the gov and your sub without.. micro managing the sub?
You can put it into your teaming agreement with them. It's not common in services, but in construction (for example), contracting will go as far to ask for certified payroll. Meaning, they actually want to SEE it. You could request certified payroll if you had cause to believe they are not paying the minimum.
@@GovKidMethod Thank you! One more point of clarification for the legal method of subbing...this FAR 52.222-55 in a contract just means that the federal minimum wage is paid ~$15 or is that the prevailing wage that needs to be paid? I'm struggling to understand this one.
The Legal Middleman Method (Course) week 5, Request for Quote (RFQ) w/Subcontractor just changed my life. Thank you.
YESS!
I got your book!! best book that i have read in government contract, I recommend it!!!
That's amazing to hear!

How about a $30 book?
@@GovKidMethod most likely I'm going that route haha.
Question: does the book teach about how to actually go about writing the proposals?
@@ytv2024yes, the second half of the book takes you through the 5 phases of a bid proposal one chapter per phase.

That's awesome to hear. Weekly notes from the sub. Weekly or monthly meetings with the COR.
@@GovKidMethod weekly! Oh my okay that's good to know ! Will do !
Hi Derek, can you please comment on how we ensure that the subs are paying federal prevailing wage for a contract (also the correct one)?

What do you say when you call subcontractors? Or do you just send emails to them about the opportunity?
I go more into depth on that here: ua-cam.com/video/5-lZ9NpSG9U/v-deo.html
