    This is an amazing set of cans. So comfortable and balanced. It's turned into my new daily driver over headphones double and triple their price. I've only tried them with balanced cables. It's just a smooth listen.

    I never associated Aune with headphones, but it seems these days everybody is making headphones. I would pretty much ignore this gadget without your review, but now it's on my radar. Good quality build apparently and some nice voice coil design. Friendly set with great prospects in the market. Thanks for bringing new stuff to my attention.

    Align the pads, then don't wear to far back. Killer phones.

    Got these for my steamdeck for when I don’t want to use iems. I also have the fiio jt1, but I wanted something more premium and open that can be run easily like an iem. Otherwise I have edition xs and fiio ft3 350ohm, which I doubt it could drive either of those reasonably.

    Aune Yuki is fantastic! Exactly how you described it. Best DAC/amp dongle I own under $200

    You should review the Queststyle m15i (current version). IMO it is better than the Yuki. It also has more power and surprisingly can power some power hungry headphones.

      Cute little gizmo, but it's not fully discrete like Yuki is, I'm sure it's very good thought

    Amateur audiophile here. Do you think its more worth it to get this over the HD600s and Sundaras? Cause its on a 229usd discount here in my country.
    Although I might just buy the hd560s instead tho since its prob better value at 149usd currently in amazon. And its also been said to have a great soundstage and build quality aswell, and thats a bit of my priority over anything else.

    • @Soundnews
      @Soundnews  5 місяців тому +6

      Amateur audiophiles are the Best audiophiles ;) Short answer: Yes! I would take them over the Sundara and HD600. The build quality is better than both and the sound is both technical/clean and quite natural at the same time.

    • @mikafoxx2717
      @mikafoxx2717 5 місяців тому

      I wouldn't say the build quality is better than the hd600 with its reliability record.. Sundara, definitely not though. I have both and the Sundara's bass is very nice but the 600 has a more organic and cohesive presentation, less sharp treble, and more present vocal mids, this headphone looks like it takes the best of both and combines it into one. But better soundstage than both, easier to drive than both, cheaper than both, and warmer approach thanks to flat bass, present mids, and treble like 600.. @@Soundnews

    I don't like my Anando stealth, it sounds veil and tiny sounding mids. If these are not as good as ananda. I'll pass on them. Maybe have to go blow a grand for a focal clear..

      @dtz1000
      Turns out, the Ananda just needed lots of time to burn in. Once that was done, it came alive. Then I hooked it up with a great DAC and now sounds awesome. Super detail, great tones, great separation and sounds TALL. Makes Ar5000 sound jumbled up and 2d like my HD560S.

    One more question: Which open back/closed back headphone under 500 USD sounds fast and punchy with enough details? Is there any similar sounding headphone to final audio a5000 in ear monitor?

      Sundara with Oratory1990's harman EQ curve is pretty insane. Fast, punchy, full, and detailed. You can find Sundara for hella cheap these days too

    Can we do mixing on this? Is this good for music production, mixing, & mastering? How does it compare to the Sennheiser 490 Pro & the Audeze MM-100?

    • @EastPlanet
      @EastPlanet 5 місяців тому +2

      Yeah, you can definitely mix on these. There are some sound characteristics to be aware of (as with any headphone) - the main thing is the presence in the midrange. It makes vocals fuller/thicker than other systems, so just be cognizant of that when mixing

    • @Jisooee
      @Jisooee 5 місяців тому

      @@EastPlanet Wow seriously? Now I'm confused about whether to buy the 560s, Sundara, or these AR5000.. between these 3, I can't pick what to mix, because I'm only mixing on headphones & not on speakers. Tell me more about the AR5000 and why it can be mixed too

    • @EastPlanet
      @EastPlanet 5 місяців тому +1

      @@Jisooee Sure! In my opinion, you can mix on pretty much anything. The important thing is that you become accustomed to the sound and stay aware of any specific tendencies your system may have. For ex., I used to mix on a dark/boomy pair of Audio Technicas, and my mixes were a bit bright because I didn't realize what was going on. Other than that, the mixes were decent despite the unnatural sound of the headphones.
      That being said, any of these options would be great. Here are my experiences with each:
      AR5000 - quite comfortable, nice balanced sound with lots of lush midrange. Bit of a lack of impact (not necessarily bad for mixing). Take care to not make mixes too punchy or warm. Also, they're a bit difficult to EQ for me. Would probably be my choice from these three
      Sundara - decent comfort, can feel heavy after a while. Sound is tactile and crispy. For music-listening, I prefer them with Oratory1990's harman curve, which makes them sound incredibly full (especially in the low end). Possibly the most solid choice for mixing from a sound perspective, as their detail and neutral response are pretty impressive. Also, you can get them B-stock from Hifiman's website for like $199 lol
      HD560s - never heard them unfortunately, but I do have the HD6XX, and they are as good as everyone says. The lack of low end is detrimental to my mixes, but EQ can help. Amazing value, though I would probably choose AR5000 or Sundara over them for this purpose. Again, I'm not familiar with the 560s
      General summary - your headphones don't have to be perfect! Any of these would be good enough. Comfort is important as well. Just make sure you're listening to a lot of music on them so that you get used to the sound. Your brain will mostly figure out what to do, and you can always test on car speakers or other headphones to make more specific corrections. Hopefully this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions

      @@EastPlanet Wow man, did not expect this from you. THIS IS TOTALLY A HUGE HELP FOR ME. Because I asked this question everywhere if I could mix on AR5000, & no one even replied to me. But Thank goodness man, you're a hero. This helps a lot to be honest. Thank you for your thoughts. I agree because all I hear about the AR5000 is always positive & has no negative comments about it, but they're not particularly talking about mixing. Thanks for clarifying that it can be mixed and why. Here in the Philippines, the 560s, Sundara, and AR5000 are the same price, that's why I'm confused about what should I buy next for my upgrade, as I'm using an ATH-M30x right now. But I want to level up & pursue my career as an artist. & yeah, I aim to have the next pair of mixing headphones. I knew a lot of things about the 560s & the Sundara already, & you have the same thoughts about them. Thank you for pointing out. & about the AR5000 as well, but I have a few more questions about the AR5000 only, & the Sundara since you heard both.
      So we're talking about Mixing. For you subjectively, was the sound of the AR5000 better or close to the Sundara? Overall. But talking about Neutrality, is it as neutral as the Sundara? & for you, when it comes to mixing, do you find the AR5000 more accurate than the Sundara?
      & tell me more about the other characteristics of the AR5000 in your opinion, like the Soundstage, Detail, & other things if these aspects are good for mixing in your opinion.
      Okay, that's all of my questions. I really appreciate your help man🙏

    • @mikafoxx2717
      @mikafoxx2717 5 місяців тому +1

      @@Jisooeear5000 is more neutral than 600 or Sundara, it's about as close to neutral as you can hope for in a headphone. My top: listen to well mixed music here and there while working on the mix as a pallete cleanser to remind you what the headphones themselves sound like so you don't over correct it out. But these headphones don't miss anything and don't make anything overbearing so you'll be pretty well off either way.
