@@kanou654 They brought me the perfect headphones Ananda v3, everything is exactly like in a pharmacy, I will use it until they break and I don’t need any others for free, how much I admire the bass as in dynamic ones, the same fat but not to the detriment of ideal highs and mids
Would be happy with either. AR is more neutral. XS definitely warmer more v-shaped with mids maybe a little recessed. I like the clarity of the AR a bit more I think.
After spending a couple of weeks with AR5000 I can confirm it is really good. It does many things right and there is virtually nothing to complain about. It is instant classic. The only thing is that even though it is light and comfortable it is bulky and it gets in the way, so it is much more comfortable than HD600 you can stay in AR5000 all day long but it is not as comfortable as DT 990 pro. Anyway, I have so much fun with AR5000. Easy recommendation for everyone. Also the resolution on AR5000 is there, it has good detail retrieval level.
I'm listening through JBL LSR305 speakers and I can hear the difference between the two. I also have Edition XS and I am not really a fan, it has that dry recessed mid sound sound signature that is also noticeable here. I still want planars so I will go for the next HiFiMan model after XS.
Listening thru the Edition XS, looks like AR5000 has a bit more fuller Mid range and Edition XS has better Sub-Bass extension. Stage seems larger on the XS, but more focused (correct?) on AR5000.
@@saminarmankhan1069 you’re listening through headphones with a completely different signature, if you listen with something closer to a neutral tuning you might be able to hear the unnaturalness of the XS more. I’ve had the XS before, it never sounded natural imo.
@@kamrhd r70x is neutral but I get your point. I have listened to xs as well and it doesn't sound exactly 'natural' (mids are recessed). I haven't heard the ar5k but here xs sounds comparatively more natural. Then again my impression may change on real life listening
I didn't plan on making so many AR5000 but someone requested...
Seems to be a great new headphone in that price bracket! Easy to drive is also very welcome.
Waiting for Anand v3
@@Прохожий-з6ь Don't want to buy HiFiMan anymore 🙃

Regarding sound, how would you compare the DT 990 Pro with Ar5000?
I have the ar5000. It's just crazy how the sound sounds. Like coming inside your head. If not the soundstage can be intimate or grand.
This might be a dumb comparison, but I was thinking focal clear vs AR5000. Im curious on the detail retrieval and dynamic comparison.

The XS is very wide, but it sacrifices width for front depth, which I lose a lot of. The AR5X has a deeper bass, but the XS has a punchier bass.

Yes larger on the XS, I think the XS is closer to 1:1:1 ratio
XS sounds more natural and immersive but mids are more forward on AR5K
XS definitely does not sound more natural, what are you listening to lol
@@kamrhd It does to me. I used an r70x (sufficiently powered through desktop amp). And I am not the only one who thinks that either

@@kamrhd he is right. xs sounds more natural. mids are better
XS: more sub bass
AR5000: more clarity
AR5000VS HD 800SVS Moondrop Venus🐭
Because its hard to tell, what would you say has better instrument separation? Or is good for gaming
Can't answer questions like "which is better"
damn i don't hear the difference XD
They both sound like my crappy pc speakers.
vocals sound artificial on the edition xs compared to the AR5000
XS mids sound much better to me..
Cant beat planars
AR5000 clear winner!
At first glance, AR5000 sound more natural, XS has more bass. Btw, i had the XS and didn't like it at all. Sold it after 2 weeks
I literally was about to hit "buy" on the xs since they are down to $269 on Amazon, but this comment made me not to. I'll stick with sennheiser
@@dhiaoshaish i decided to keep my AKG 712 Pro with a little bit of Eq
