@KBThaBandhead I get it bro. Everybody has a preference. It was a closer battle on the field than in the stands. Ijs stands and field it was still obvious who has the better sounding more balanced and more powerful sound. Both bands did a good job but one band was simply better than the other from musicianship to arrangements.

nah I went back again. And I think it sounded that way cause they came in right after NO and it takes the ear a minute to adjust to the new tempo, also the rhythms were complex in the low end and the drums were setting up into groove changes *listen to how the drums sound off when they play , but I think that's the groove of the peice*. It was overall interesting. That was the point.
I got gamb 5-1 Nola was just loud that's it. Musically Gamb was more balanced and clearer. You could barely hear Nolas trumpets. Euphos are tied, trumpets Gamb, tubas Gamb, mellos no question Nola lol, trombones gamb
I got GAMB 4-2. But it was a close battle. Both programs definitely came prepared and did not disappoint.

Any Studio Engineers or Mastering Engineers know that The BALANCE and EQ that GAMB created was damn near Magical. After sitting in the studio for hours trying to get everything balanced and they are doing to live in a mass band. It don't make sense. To be able to listen to each other and blend like that. I'm still trying to understand how all those instruments, parts and rhythms, sound that good and balanced without multiple tracks being balanced. It's insane. frfr. Live band almost never sound that rich and clear at the same time. They are on to something new. This is going to be an amazing band season. Super excited.

They are 2 different types of band I went to walker im from NOLA and we went to ATL a LOT we visited southwest DeKalb and wen I tell yall one of the most beautiful sound I heard in Band we was surprised but they requested a song from use and loved wat we brought to the table ( so I can’t judge it NOLA is A In your face type playing stile and GAMB is going to be better with they arrangements )))

GAMB got the field and the stands. At minimum I can saw the field was a tie. NOLA is just a one trick pony. GAMB has balance and blend NOLA just seems to stack sound on top of sound

it’s a “drill team” all the high schools have it not really a purpose just a new orleans tradition within all the highschools bands for parade season they lead the band
We used to use them to know what band was marching down the street during Mardi Gras. Sometimes those crowds are 20-30 deep. So we would know what school it was from the colors of the drill team flags. That’s the only thing you can see from the back of the crowd during Mardi Gras
NOASB won the field battle, but GAMB got them in the stands.
