But each band played to their strengths; 2014 - lower brass heavy and sending MAAAAD Watts across the field. 2017 (MELLO CITY) and DT had new tubas from 16 so they were going DUMB!!! 24 is what u get when you combine the 2 yrs together and add a kick ass Trumpfunk in the mix it's balanced and will blow the COLORS off your band !!!!
I think the mellos in ‘14 were more powerful than ‘17..the mellos in ‘14 were absolute monsters on this song. ‘24 has the trumpets but if I’m picking I’m rolling with ‘14 it’s just something about that power from the mellos and btones in ‘14 that makes the song imo

Since u wanna talk about JSU ASU Trumpets is known for being worse than ours, the Lower Brass always drowns out the trumpets or they were simply too WEAK to pull their own weight. They might have a few years where they stand out but that trumpet section just as inconsistent

At the size of their trumpet section in 2014 it’s truly a shame they were completely engulfed by the mellophones and rest of the band. 2017 trumpets sounded about the same while mellophones were even stronger.
