I'm just now getting advertisements from Sig like this gun is brand new but obviously your video has been out for a month and since I've seen your video I had been looking for it and I couldn't find it anywhere until here just the last day or two
Sig should have offered this with a threaded barrel. If you're going to remove the compensator and make the iron sights suppressor height, you should thread the barrel.
I bought mine through the blue shield program and it was in this same configuration and with the 3rd magazine. I had the option for standard height sights or the suppressor height…. I went with the standard height because I put a holosun 507k green dot. I was very happy with these modifications because I did not want the compensator on a self defense firearm.
As an XM owner who also owns XL's this is not suprising. In many ways this is like putting an XM grip module and 17 round mag on an existing XL . I do like the forward placement of the optics cut and like retaining the rear site on the XM and newer version. I'm ambivalent on the magwell. You can add that to any XM grip module but it only emphasizes the grip which some people complain as too big already. Gotta wonder if the XM and now the new Tac Opsa won't cannibalize the 320 compact and 320 Carry models.
I actually love the mag well because my XL size hand fits perfectly with it. The bottom of my hand ends right when the magwell ends. If it wasn't there I would definitely pinch. The co-witness SS sights made it so I didn't even have to zero at the range. Everything else is exactly the same as an XL slide on a XM frame.

Where the heck did you find it for $630? The cheapest I could find it by me (DFW, Texas) was $750. Mine came with 4 mags vs 3 but that’s only a $50 difference. It did have a $60 rebate in the form of a $60 credit to the sig web store. I guess if you figure that in plus the extra mag that would get it down to around $640. I shot both the X Macro and the Macro Tacops and for me there wasn’t a noticeable improvement from the comp.
I'm glad they provided a rebate because the $750 price tag was to much compared to the price I paid that only came with one less mag. Well done video and comparisons .Have to do some thinking now. Just shot a range rental 365XL last week to get a feel of it. Definitely a longer grip is needed. Where can a person buy a manual safety for the macro?
@@drossi101 Very good question! I am 67 years old and started shooting 54 years ago. During all of the shooting classes that I took, starting out with Daisy BB gun 15' local and state competitions, it was pounded into us to Keep Your Finger On The Safety until you are ready to fire, then take the safety off only then. A few years later I started pheasant hunting I always had the safety on and finger on the safety until I was ready to fire. So today, all of my 34 pistols, rifles and shotguns all have a manual safety.
That's exactly what is. Just an xl slide on a macro frame. The suppressor sights, magwell, and extended slide release is the only difference but not a huge difference.
If you actually got the 407C, you have the wrong optic for that gun. It's too big and the wrong footprint. What you need is the 407K. That the narrow version with the modified RMSc footpring. The P365 uses that exact footprint.
No you are correct! I made a mistake. I ended up going with the EPS carry. The 407c was still a great deal so now I have to get something to put it on 😆
Same. I've been having buyer's remorse for jumping on it so early before all the upgrades came in. Still a good gun to throw in the IWB when I'm running to the store, I suppose.
The 365 XL with Romeo zero slide comes with the suppressor height sights. Maybe the gun shop put the fcu and slide into a macro frame? That would explain no comp. Either way nice find!
Everyone thinks I got the LE version because literally the only difference is 1 mag and I paid $630 when the "Tac Ops" is $830. They can keep the fourth mag for that price difference 🤣
After further research it seems I got a rare package that only my gun store had access to before the Tac Ops package was officially released. I paid $630 for this package.
@@clutchmaster_ Google shows it as law enforcement only at a couple of places. Hopefully it's sold soon because Sig said should be out in about 2 weeks around $750. $630 is a steal
The X-Macro makes the most sense if you don't already have a 365 and want to actually make most of the modularity. Grip frames are cheap, so you can get a shorter frame for cheap, you already have the short barrel, so pick up a 365x slide and you've got a short slide to match it for more concealability. Want a longer barrel and better comp, just get a threaded barrel and comp. It ends up the cheapest way to have the most options for the 365 to make the most use of the modularity of the FCU
I looked into all of this for my p365 and decided for $630 I could modify my 365 or just have a whole new gun. I love the modularity but upgrades add up quick and then I have a bunch of extra parts laying around with no use.
@@clutchmaster_ It doesn't make sense if you already have a 365, but for someone that doesn't, it can be pretty cost effective. Use the X-Macro slide and grip module with a threaded barrel, PL350 light, a comp with the +4 base pads from Tactical Development Group and you've got something to put on your battle belt. Swap grip modules to an X with a TLR7 SUB and the barrel and slide the Macro comes with and you've got something for your EDC. Take the light off and swap to the shorter 365 slide and you've got something for deep concealment. It's cheaper than getting 3 guns for those 3 different roles It saves money, and in states that make it really hard to actually buy multiple guns, it means having more capabilities with less headaches
@@pdxmarine1430 I have an XM. Like you i decided since i don't own any 365's that the XM was the way to go. So i bought one and love it! One thing you said I noticed wasn't correct though. You cannot put a longer barrel in the XM slide. There is a lip in the slide that mates up with the end of the 3.1" barrel. If you bought an XM and wanted to go longer barrel you would also need to buy an XL slide to do so.
@@nickadkins7765 Oh crap, I didn't realize that you couldn't stick a longer barrel in it. That kind of breaks my whole idea of it being the most cost effective 365 to get for maximum customization. Looks like the way to go would be an XL if you're looking for the most options for the lowest price. You'd need the XL itself, a threaded barrel and comp and Macro grip module for a "duty-ish" carry setup, and an X slide and barrel for a short deep conceal setup(and maybe an OG 365 for an even shorter grip)
Yes its is! I really like it because I have XL size hands. I have the link for the grip posted in my newest video. I bought one for the macro and my p365 original. They can be a pain to install but I will make a UA-cam short of how to do it.
@@chrisharris9710 because the macro grip helps more than the macro "comp" in controlling recoil, don't believe me? Then try this, take a macro and an XL and swap slides, the macro will STILL be easier to control even though the "comp" is now on the smaller frame. Also with the Macro you're already stepping into a realm that's very close to a P320 or G19 size gun but with the "comp" you're still only getting micro pistol ballistics because the barrel is the same length as the original P365. If I'm going to carry a larger handgun (which I do happily) I damn sure want better ballistics out of it rather than a *maybe* 5% improvement to overall recoil. The comp is mostly for show and the "cool guy" factor, an actual barrel mounted compensator would be a much better option OR an actual ported barrel and slide combo rather than just a short barrel with a "blast chamber" machines into the slide. Compensators work based on pressure, the more pressure you have inside the compensator the more effect your going to get out of it, this is why +P ammo tends to have even less felt recoil with a comp than standard ammo. The "blast chamber" on the comp'd slide loses a huge amount of this "useful pressure" by waiting until the glasses have already left the barrel and are under MUCH less pressure. If people like the comp'd slide, then that's fine, that's their right. But most of them don't realize the grip is actually doing most of the work in reducing muzzle rise.
@@Kross8761 I’ve done everything you said in the first paragraph, and I still prefer the comped slide. IMO the grip module helps with recoil, but the comp is doing the most work. The XL module felt much better to me with the macro slide. I do understand, and have factored in, the larger module though. I did all of this the week the macro dropped. I don’t think I include all of that in my video on the macro, but I did pin a comment speaking to that on that video over at my channel, Harris Arms. I get what you’re saying in the second paragraph and really don’t have any problem with that opinion. It makes sense. To me that doesn’t justify a “much better” label. “Better for me” sure, but not just an objectively stated “much better”. The comp is definitely not just for show. It shines better with heavy and higher pressure ammunition, so if you’ve just ran some 115 FMJs through it it hasn’t reached potential. But it’s not like a Radian Ramjet either. IMO the 15-18% reduction number is a good general area to put the performance though, which in a category as snappy as the micro 9mm category is, is a big win in my book. I will also agree that a lot of people have said they would not prefer the comp. I have a good friend I shoot with that says that. But again, to me that doesn’t justify objectively stating it’s “much better”. It fills a desire for a lot of people. But there are a lot of people on the other side as well. Bottom line, the Macro is a great EDC option, either iteration. Whether one finds the first or second iteration to be the “best” is at the end of the day subjective.
@@chrisharris9710 lol thats your bottom line, not "the" bottom line. I, and others, disagree. I view the comp as entirely needless on a 9mm caliber, while adding a possible failure point. Especially on a gun meant specifically for carry, i dont need extra holes to collect link & debris. I value reliability in a firearm over anything else, meaning to me the non comped version is definitely the much better one of the two. Which is exactly what i said in the first comment. I guess my opinion made you feel the need to write a paragraph response. Sorry that you had to cope with someone not agreeing with your choice in firearm. That must be really hard on you-
The comp has always been a big debate. Let me know if you want me to put a comp on this. I haven't shot the macro but I hear it makes up to a 20% difference in handling. What I think makes this package "better" is the price, extra mag, and the extended slide release because these small sigs come factory stiff. Just that tiny amount of extra real-estate makes it so much easier to drop the slide out of box.
@ClutchMaster next version will have it, that way, this one is your second after the comped one, and you can get a third with threads. The next one comes with night vision, sig brand of course. I get the marketing but they should have led with this

@@jessfarias8156 also the magwell is a nice feature but to be honest the extended slide release is so nice considering from factory everything is so stiff.

Great vid! Nice structure, nice pace. I would make the same decision, but for one other reason. In my opinion a 3.1 inch barrel is just too short for a 9x19, as it is already borderline ballistically. On the comp version you really need to get nerdy on ammo choices
Thank you for the kind words! I totally agree with you about barrel size. I first purchased the original p365 strictly to CC the smallest yet still comfortable in hand firearm I could find. Its also great to carry for more active situations hiking, biking etc. I'm sure once I go compare the two at the range I will see the major difference in barrel lengths.
The macro in testing I have seen is 50 ft different from the xl slide or less in many cases. I shoot hot ammo it will make up the difference. I have seen what ammo out of the 3.1 in does already plenty of penetration. To each there own.
@@andershilmo1866 that’s exactly what I meant by having to get „nerdy“ about ammo choices. On non-premium bullets you get close to expansion thresholds down there. And if you have to shoot a +P to make up for the 0.6 inch you lose to the comp you might lose a good bit of the recoil reduction. Would be interested in what your experience has been on that.
That's how they should have launched the macro
I agree! Sig did things differently this time with the xmacro. Which was smart because they sold a ton of the compensated version.

For $170 dollar more than the tac ops you can have two cuts in your slide and a shorter barrel. We call it the "integrated" comp 🤣
+ Damage
- Recoil Control
+ Reserve Ammo
Think I should slap a barrel and comp on it?
Mine came with 4 mags
The 365 XL with Romeo zero slide comes with the suppressor height sights. Maybe the gun shop put the fcu and slide into a macro frame? That would explain no comp. Either way nice find!
This is the next version of the x-macro. It was just released at 2023 Shot show and should be in stores near you soon!
Hah, I got four magazines with mine non comp x macro.
I just bought that grip
You should have gotten 4 magazines with your Tac Ops Macro brother.
Everyone thinks I got the LE version because literally the only difference is 1 mag and I paid $630 when the "Tac Ops" is $830. They can keep the fourth mag for that price difference 🤣
I’m running 507k on mine…. That’s the way to go for a slim pistol
Green or red?
@@clutchmaster_ I have the red but I do prefer green
@@gregc8533 🏃That's me running to the shop tomorrow to get one
Same! Love the dot and circle reticle! Along with the streamlight tlr7 sub I have 500 rds through it and going strong without issue
$170 is actually a good price for a compensator.
True if you consider 2 CNC cuts in a slide a compensator.
Thanks for the video. What is that awesome grip add-on? Do they come in the P365X size?
Ya just search Hogue p365 grip on Amazon. I Got one for the macro and my original p365.
Mine came with 4 mags!!!
After further research it seems I got a rare package that only my gun store had access to before the Tac Ops package was officially released. I paid $630 for this package.
I cant find this anywhere. Local or online.
What store? That's a good price
Yeah not a big fan of the compensator either....like longer barrel and more velocity
Thanks for posting do you have the model number I don’t see it on Sigs website?
Ya no one can find any information anywhere on it yet but this is what my box says as far as model number. W365XCA-9-BXR3-RXZP-SNS
It's cheaper than getting 3 guns for those 3 different roles
It saves money, and in states that make it really hard to actually buy multiple guns, it means having more capabilities with less headaches
Not 4 mags?
Finger discipline
Got 4 mags with mine.
Ya this version dropped months before the 4 mag package.
Is that the Hogue Handall grip sleeve for a P365xl? It looks good on an X-Macro; been thinking about getting one for mine.
Yes its is! I really like it because I have XL size hands. I have the link for the grip posted in my newest video. I bought one for the macro and my p365 original. They can be a pain to install but I will make a UA-cam short of how to do it.
The Tacops is supposed to come with 4 mags. Sounds like your gun store screwed you.
Have you been carrying this? Any rust??
I'm also interested to know this. The rusting issue is the only thing stopping me from getting one if these.
Tac OPS should have 4 mags
Much better than the original macro
Lol. What makes it “much better”?
What’s your take on accuracy of the the comp vs the Tacops? Does the comp have the extended slide release as well?
Tacops is better hands down I own both lol
Why haven’t they updated the regular P365 with an optics cut yet? It genuinely confuses me
They did. Its the p365 SAS model.
never seen a tac ops pistol come without a threaded barrel
For some reason they chose not to do a threaded barrel this time. No comment from sig reps on why.
@ClutchMaster next version will have it, that way, this one is your second after the comped one, and you can get a third with threads. The next one comes with night vision, sig brand of course.
I get the marketing but they should have led with this
@@travistucker7317 That sounds exactly like Sig. 🤣 I just got my comp and am waiting on the barrel to get here. Comp or not video coming soon!
@ClutchMaster you know it. Looking forward to it.
So, has anyone seen any for sale yet? It's been about 2 weeks since they said it would arrive but I don't see it online.
I've also seen the Romeo version at my local gun store but not sure why they're not shipping everywhere else.
Can we get the information to the shop you gat that one from?
Hey Roman! I purchased mine from my local gun store bulldogfirearmsnm.com/. It was labeled as a p365x. SCU # W365XCA-9-BXR3-RXZP-SNS. I would recommend calling them and asking for the p365x with macro frame. There is also a variation that comes with a factory Romeo Zero.
@@clutchmaster_ great thanks for the information.
Just made my next purchase for me!
I personally love this purchase for $630. Threw a Holosun EPS Carry green on it and it shoots like a dream. New shooting video coming soon!
@@clutchmaster_ the extra mag and longer barrel and the cheaper price sold me!
@@jessfarias8156 also the magwell is a nice feature but to be honest the extended slide release is so nice considering from factory everything is so stiff.
@@clutchmaster_ where did you find it? Struggling to locate it online to purchase?
Just curious where to find this package? Much better deal
Should be in all store in a week or two.

FYI to those wondering. Looks like you can’t order them after sig custom site. But Sega supposed to be releasing these to the public in like a week or two. Really excited I got to hold a 365X macro and it is a charm.
Ya, I'm still not sure what version I got but it is for sure the new x-macro version. The weird part is the Sig reps said it would come with 4 mags. Mine came with 3 and that seems to be the only difference.
My local gun store has them bulldogfirearmsnm.com. They also have the Romeo included version too for $780. I will try to get more information from them on how to order it.

@@clutchmaster_ thanks alot! Also, can civilians purchase this model? I found it in stock at several FFLs but it's labeled as " LE Only ". Thanks again
@@osbonator500 I am a civilian. I think the issue is that it hasn't officially released yet. The Sig reps talked about it at Shot show and said it would be released in a couple weeks.
I never liked the comp for esthetic reasons, also they're bugging with that $800+ dollar price tag.
$630 for this kit is definitely reasonable and the right price for me. Check out the review video I just posted on it!
you dont use a grip on your regular 365 ? What brand of grip is that ?
I just added the Hogue grip to the regular p365 and made a youtube short install video. Check it out!
Does it rust
Do you have the SKU# for this? I can’t find it anywhere online and it’s not even on the Sig site yet.
My SKU is W365CA-9-BXR3-RXZP-SNS but comes up as law enforcement only. Not sure why because i'm a civilian. Seems like Sig has yet to fully release this version but I know its coming soon.
@@clutchmaster_ Thanks for the info! I guess I’ll just hold off until it’s officially released and my local shops have some inventory.
The X Macro has a compensated barrel and that one doesn't.
Correct. This is also an x macro with a couple of added upgrades but not compensated which means its the 3.7 in barrel instead of the 3.1.
The barrel isn’t compensated the slide is
Tacops, not tacpac
$170 is too much for a comp…. As I sit here having paid $400 for the Radian ramjet kit….😢😂
That's a good price considering two cuts in a slide is worth $170 to Sig. If the ramjet was made by Sig it would cost 600+ 😂
Which aftermarket grip are you using?
Hogue grip. There should be a link in the description. I run Hogue on everything because of my large hands.
Thanks@@clutchmaster_
Should have got a p320 because you are now in the 320 size
Still thinner than a p320
407c is not for the 365 series. The 407k is what you want for the 365 macro.
17 rd mags are $60, most sig mags are $50
Ya that's too much money Sig!
Why isn't this handgun on the Sig website?
Not officially released yet. Some lgs might have it already but this is also a LE Version. At shot show im pretty sure they said it was supposed to release with 4 mags.. should be officially released sometime this month
When did this come out trying to find it
I got mine from my local gun store. Sig doesn't have it posted on their website yet but it should be everywhere soon.
What's the light under the regular p365?
TLR 6 light/ laser combo. Fitment is really nice and super secure because it goes around the trigger guard. Haven't tested it yet but I originally got it just for the wifey to use the laser but having the light is nice too. I will make a video of my recommended original p365 top upgrades soon.
@@clutchmaster_ very nice! I have the 7a under mine and love it.
I cant find this sku or package anywhere
It is very confusing considering it is the new x-macro but with 3 mags. The Sig reps at Shot show said it would come with 4 mags.
@@nikos6220 I will have to do more testing I don’t have an xl slide at the moment. I do have a regular 365 and a macro. I shoot plus P out of both.
