Hi everyone - today I am reviewing the Toddy Cold Brew system! There are two filtration systems that can be used with this system (1) a reusable felt filter or (2) a reusable felt filter and a paper filtration bag. I go through each of the filtration methods, show you the results, and take you through how to clean out the system afterwards!

I have been using the toddy system for more than 10 years. I never do the process of a cup of watee etc. I just add coffee and water and little stir and sit. It makes great coffee and its not complicated. I always recommend it to my friends.

I have been using the Toddy for decades and use a modified system. I place a readily available pleated paper basket filter into the bottom of the brewer first then sandwich the felt filter on top pushing it into the recess. I use 5 cups of ground coffee and 8 cups of filtered water. Really my coffee mix is 2 cups dark roast, 2 cups of medium roast and one cup of coffee and chicory- CDM. I let it sit for at least 12 hours often more. After brewing the first “pot” I reuse the coffee again using only 4 cups of water and wait 8-12 hours. I use two glass carafes keeping the different brews separate. Both are good but the second drip is not as strong. After using the felt filter for both batches I rinse it well and put it into the dishwasher to run with my next wash.
