After 6 years FINALY my jaboticaba tree is covered of fruit on its branches !
I live in Central Florida, where the soil is poor and sandy, but with lots of care, pruning and water, it is beautifully covered with the black fruits !
Awesome! Enjoy those fruits! We recommend making jaboticaba jelly!
Apply biochar to sandy soil
Did you amend the soil in anyway?
Jaboticaba is well adapted to sandy soil
@@TrulyTropical is that farm open to the public? I'm Brazilian and now I'm living in the Boston area. My family and I are planning to move down to Florida later this year. I would appreciate it if we have a place to go eat some Brazilian fruits.
Do you know that delicious fruit called Mexerica Ponkan?
Thank you for the videos!

...e é muito gostosa essa fruta
That is Jaboticaba fruits
Love the video!
Yay!
Very interesting!
Great VIDEO.
Wow! Even the flowers are similar to grape flowers. Another site says it tastes like blueberry yogurt.
Could you please talk about watering young and mature Jaboticaba trees in south Florida, thanks and keep making this great videos!!!!
It's important to use a hose or bucket to water a newly-planted Jaboticaba tree every day for the first 4-6 weeks because it takes that long to establish new roots. Jaboticabas have shallow roots, so water during dry spells. If you plant your Jaboticaba in an area where your sprinklers are keeping the grass healthy, you won't need to hand water the tree after it is established.
My friend who had two large Jaboticaba trees did not have grass in his yard. He would water one tree consistently for a month while the other was not being watered. The next month he would switch to watering the other tree. It is important to note that these were old, established Jaboticaba trees.
Looks so yummy. I never knew this fruit exsist. Saw it through an ad. And wauw so many fruits on the tree. I would eat it everyday if i would have that tree 😅😅. Btw i don't think they even sell or have that tree here in my country
Wow 😃
Very interesting 🎉🎉🎉
nice explaination madam.
Good job
I’d love to be able to have this tree to grow fruit from. Doubtful that will happen unless I move from Maine. Love mangoes, Mamey , jackfruit. Oh wow never knew that about the skins being undesirable.
Can you please share the watering schedule that was used to spread out the fruiting of the trees

Es brasileña, pero si puede tener en todos Países, pero es brasileña de origen
I heard the precocious variant is better than the sabara variant. Is that true?

Do y'all, by chance, grow Saba fruit from West Africa? I haven't had any since I was a boy and it is just the most delightful sour fruit!
Sorry, we do not grow Saba
Can just mention what is the germination rate of jaboticaba seeds will all the seeds which have
been sowed will germinate?
where to get mature jabuticaba trees?
They can tolerate to 45 degree c temperature?
Wow mrytle beach sc
We want to grow them
I grew up with muscadine grapes
Great explanation. I am in Miami and want to get some atypical fruit trees on my property that I can enjoy year round. You mentioned that the skin is usually not eaten. Is the skin easily removed similar to a lychee where it normally peels in two sections (removal attempts) or do you have to work at removal tediously?
The skin is like grape skin, but a little thicker. Most people put the whole fruit into their mouths and then spit out the skin and seed.
@@TrulyTropical as a brazilian I used to try to put it half inside my lips and half out and press it in an attempt for it to burst the pulp into my mouth, but often times the hole that was created from the burst was on the side of the skin on my hand where I was holding outside my mouth and it was a mess :'D :'D :'D :'D
@@ndsn96 Me too I used to make a small hole with my teeth and try to burst it agains my mouth.
I have jaboticaba . Indonesia
How to care this free ? Do you have more information ?
Tem arvore de Cambucá?
I heard this plant is extremely cold (20+degrees f) tolerant for tropical plant. Is that your understanding?
It tastes even better after resting in the fridge for some time. You should overeat it if you are constipated, and it is great to treat diarrhea.
I would like to know if you have any Jaboticaba fruit to sell it ? I would love to buy some to give as a gift to a friend that never had the opportunity to taste it this delicious and unique fruit. Thank you for the information and for sharing this video .
We sell the fruit when we have it. We are still waiting for flowers to open for the next crop. If/When fruit start forming, we will mention on the Truly Tropical facebook page.

What is the cold to hot temperature in Celsius degree the tree can grow. Can it grow in Delhi India?
A non-hybrid jaboticaba tree takes about 15 to 20 years to bear fruit
Taste of the fruit is different between the hybrid jaboticabaand the seed jaboticaba
I have a tree with more than 200 years in my property
Wow! That tree must be amazing!
It seems that jaboticaba grown in pots fruits faster than those planted in the ground. Other environmental conditions also seem to influence how quickly they fruit.
Will you sell some please.
it call in India jambu fruit and it is good for hemoglobin increase
I have a Jaboticaba in the ground. It's bushy and about 3ft tall. How long do I have until it fruits?? Another 3 yrs?
Each plant seems to have it's own time table. It can take 10 or more years to fruit, but some plants fruit when they are quite young.
Edmundo Gutierrez as long as it takes
What kibd of soil do they like? Can they withstand temps up to 35°C/95°F?
Brazil can get to 40+ Celsius temperatures.

@@Yami_Pegasus do your soil is alkaline? I’ve heard that California soil is alkaline, here in Brazil the soil is naturally acidic where jabuticaba grows.
I wish if i could get some of these trees in Pakistan 😢
you can ask the lady to sell you a tree
Are these good for pregnancy
No idea... probably best to not eat too many skins
♡ we don't have fresh seeds in Poland. I tried to, but they not became seedlings. if you could also send me some seeds ♡ i would be grateful forever.
I suppose Jaboticaba would not grow in your country due to the cold weather tough.
Hey, we have it too in Indonesia 😂😂
Do you call it "Jaboticaba"?

If only the flesh wouldn't cling to the seeds, which some say are unhealthy to eat. I chew on the skin a little to release some acidity to balance the sweetness.
