    I added a chlorine and other contaminants filter to the outside hose bibcock I use to water all my gardens and tropicals: lychee, longan and Carambola. What a difference for around $60. Filter lasts about 6 months. Pentek big blue whole house water filter.

    The name of the yellow jabuticaba in Brazil is "cabeludinha" ( = little hairy), an allusion of the hairy appearance of the fruits and leaves.

    My Red Hybrid @ 3y was flowering for a year before it set fruit but is now flowering again and not picked fruit. The yellow can take as long as Sabara to flower in warm temoerate climate.

    Thank you for this! I have a small Brazilian Grape tree, but I have no idea what variety... Would a blueberry mix work well for this tree?

      If you mean fertilizer yes. Use a potting soil for containers.

    Can I put a raw fish inside my potting soil for my jaboticaba ? And I was wondering if I can speed up the process for it to fruit and mature by putting it indoor with grow lights like around the winter time

    I thought a lot of nitrogen was bad for a Jaboticaba tree ?

    • @Pepesplants
      @Pepesplants  Рік тому

      Young trees will benefit from more nitrogen as it helps them grow faster. Once they come to fruiting age very little is needed as too much nitrogen will reduce or inhibit flowering. Stress will generally increase the flowering response. Always better to use slow release or organic fertilizer to prevent burning your trees.
