I have no doubt that she could easily achieve a position as Chief Counselor at any command, and possibly a position at Starfleet Headquarters running the entire Mental Health Division. But then I think the idea that there is only one counselor aboard any vessel or station is ridiculous. Counseling (or Mental Health) should be a section within the Medical Department, answering to the Chief Medical Officer and with the ability to go directly to the CO in certain situations. Their _direct_ counseling responsibilities should be only for the Command Staff (Including the Captain) and possibly special cases that subordinate counselors can’t handle (like, say, Lt Barkley). I think part of the point I’m trying to make is that having Ezri transfer to the Command Division minimizes the importance of what she does as a Counselor. Keeping her as a Counselor would not only develop the character in a more realistic direction, but it could also be used to develop the canonical structure of Starfleet Medical’s organization.
Totally agree with this. It's one of the many problems with the books. The writers have fallen into a cliche that only captains have a successful career, and it's the end goal of all Star Fleet personnel.
Yes. I can also see Alexander Roshenko mustering out of military service among the Klingons after the Dominion war (since war is obviously not his forte) to join Starfleet as their first Klingon counselor. I always rankled at the allegation that Data was unfit to hold a command position just as Klingons were unfit to be counselors. Alexander would be great at it! Granted, I can see him pioneering a distinctively Klingon-flavored therapy involving holodeck battles with one's inner demons (until the patient can get to the point of negotiating with them) that would be one for the books!
Also nothing wrong with just being a technical specialist - a counselor in this case. Not being a chief, supervisory, or other figure, just being a regular specialist who makes an impact and enjoys what they do. Need to hear about Garak's future. Considering the far future Federation has a half-Cardassian President, the Cardassian Union obviously went through a lot of changes after the Dominion War. Garak would have been at the forefront.
I'm probably in the minority here but I think Garak was one of Star Treks greatest characters. I can't think of any that had as many layers as him. When you think about he was a cold blooded killer and he was casually having breakfast and lunch with Doctors and engineers . Then again I wonder if anybody has ever done a kill count for star fleet officers I bet O' Brian, Kirk, Sisko and Work have killed dozens of people
ST: Online Used him several times as a diplomatic liaison for missions. I forget his 'ranking' so to speak, but it alluded to him being something like a Senator or other Gov't Official and a prominent member of the Cardassian Government
@@laurarules3642 Garak's my favourite too. There's the excellent "A Stitch in Time" written by his actor Andrew Robinson, who has a unique perspective on the character. Set right after the last episode of DS9, it delves into Garak's past and present, as he comes to terms with his upbringing, subsequent career in the Obsidian Order and how living on DS9 has changed him. All the while a devastated Cardassia must decide how to go forward and fundamentally change as a nation and people. Highly recommended!
You got cut off there at the end I'll take it from here. Morn gets caught in a trading deal that goes sideways. Luckily he manages to talk his way out it. But ends up stuck on the Breen home world. Through clever negotiations and quick-witted speech he ends up next to the Breen high Queen. She falls madly in love with him. But it's a hard fault love mainly because she lives in a completely different environment than him. And the story continues.
I would have loved for more to have said just one word on the show. I would have been great if in the last episode he drinks something and, in a voice over by Barry White, says "yeah."
I always pictured Kira having to face the same awkwardness that Cisco did when he was declared the Emissary, because those who worshiped changelings would see her as The Beloved--a madonna-like mortal whose romance with an alienated part of the Founders enabled them, with Odo's reunion, to truly love solids. They were see her as an intercessor and supplicate her for prayers on their behalf.
My brother worked on this show regularly and I got to attend the last filming and tour much of the set! I got to keep some items too and meet Louise Fletcher

It makes sense that STO kept the original DS9, since, if we're following on from the shows, that's the one we'd want to see and inhabit in-game. But, it might be interesting to see some future STO story arc explore a crossover with the Destiny timeline, maybe even in collaboration with some of the authors if they're interested. Give us a chance to explore the new DS9 rebuilt to Starfleet spec and such.
I just see Miles touring the 'new' station and. 'Who designed this? It's.... addressed literally EVERY complaint i have ever had and then some.' 'you did sir.'
STO has an event where you basically have both prime DS9 and Mirror/Terran Terok Nor in the same space. It's fun. They could easily do a similar scenario with a rebuilt DS9... So many timelines.
Great video. My number one wish is that Warf finds himself a wife who *doesn't* meet an untimely death. That, and that Quark finally gets that moon he always wanted it.
In STO he does, the Klingon woman who at one time was married to Quark, they meet after he accepts the role of ambassador and marry, even having a son together later on.
The episode where Jake tried to pull his father out of the time-phase accident freaking wrecked me. Sisko had it rough with Jennifer, no doubt. He deserves some peace and happiness.
I think the DS9 season 8 pitch in what we left behind deserved a shout out. That was something that came from what were some of the most influential writers to have ever worked on star trek. In my tiny brain that makes it canon, moreso than novels or video games. But what the hell do I know.

It was a good series. Last month -- before they disappear into the void of the streaming-media timeline -- I got the entire set of DVDs that include the dialogue of the audio tracks in English, German, Spanish and Italian. Odo sounds the business in German :-)
I've been meaning to read the books, but I already got a shitload of titles on my reading list, plus I doubt Trek works that well in a non-visual medium. The costumes, places, and, most importantly, the perfomances are what make this show so charming and fantastic.
Then you need to start with reading classic trek novels, then onto Next Gen, etc. in the order they came out as TV series. That way your imagination will have references to help it.

1) The novels were the "official continuations" of TOS, TNG, DS9, and VOY, so are the true prime timeline (this includes spin-off novel series). 2) STO has been revealed to be 100% an alternate timeline. The creators have stated this as fact, and a novel in says the same. 3) CBS have created their own prime timeline (leaked during DISC season 1), and have made many continuity changes (history, ship designs, TOS uniforms before TOS, tech, etc). Thanks to CBS's messing around with the franchise, the true prime timeline of the novels has now been destroyed in the Coda Trilogy. Years of storylines and character developments have been washed away (beloved characters killed off, ships destroyed), and an opportunity to reveal CBS's shows as an alternative timeline has been wasted. I weep for what is happening to a beloved franchise.😢😭
O brian becomes chief engineer of the enterprise F in the on the online series. Work makes mention of this on one of the mission. some of the online aspects, missions, and stories are being brought into the main star trek prime timeline thanks to star trek picard and lower decks. Season 2 of Picard is a great example of this thanks to them bringing in some ships from the online into the series. The online has also include discovery aspects as well. So wouldnt be surprised if the other books or other online stories are brought to be cemented in the prime line.
In the “Star Trek: Countdown”, Picard was the admiral in charge of the evacuation plan for the Romulans and during this time period, Worf was commanding a Klingon vessel.
I could have seen Worf head a new division of Starfleet. A non Section 31 unit. And while military in its scope, it often functions as a primary peacekeeping force, called when a starship is entering a potentially dangerous situation and requires a show of strength. However, it is also called upon to carry out special "missions" that are of interest to the Federation and it's allies. This division has an incredible heritage. It draws upon centuries of both Terran and Klingon Special Forces. It is a combination of Army Rangers/Seals/Green Beret/Delta Force and the Klingon Dahar masteries. They utilized very spartan, but VERY powerful and dangerous ships like the Enterprise E/G, the Defiant Advanced, and with recent upgrades to the venerable Bird of Prey and Vor'cha class battle cruisers, they have become Starfleet's most powerful force projection in its history. They are like the Targ and the Terran Lion. Stealthy and powerful predators. They are............The Shadow Legion. Starfleet Special Charter 42. The SSC is devoted to one purpose: "Speak softly, but carry a BIG stick". Wise words from former President Theodore Roosevelt of Old Earth. And with Captain Worf Roshenko of the House of Roshenko, House of Martok, Bane and slayer of the Duras Family, slayer of Gowron the Unwise and heir to the Chancellorship of the Klingon Empire, and Dahar Master commanding this unit, the Federation's enemies better behave, or be bested in the field of honor.
I just can't get behind Ezri and Bashir for any reason. Bashir's a twit. I can only picture Ezri mentally rolling her eyes whenever he opens his mouth, whereas Garak would tolerate him, because Bashir's twittiness amuses him, and he's good in bed. That's my head cannon, anyway. (Until Garak leaves Bashir for Loki of Asgard, but that's a whole other multiverse head cannon of mine. Heh.)
@certifibale ingame with kira being in command of ds9 would be a full circle and great , as in the beginning it was a byjoran station with command being starfleet, that make it starfleet Station with a byjoran in command
Why DS9 was great, was because Sisco and Starfleet and the crew werent trying to discover new worlds, but dealing with the different alien fractions and trying to maintain peace and understanding.
Even though he got the center seat of the Enterprise, the novel did Worf how he got it. Jean-Luc basically promoted him via text from Earth, no change of command ceremony or anything.
In fairness I don't think Worf would have wanted all the pomp. Just getting his new orders, pin the new pip to his collar, and settle into the big chair.
I always amazed how everyone turns out with amazing and exciting careers. No one dies or fails, goes to the dark side, retires. Nope just continues with amazing and exciting life. I wish real life was so stimulating. Lol.
On Kira Nerys, you left off Opaka... On ST: Online, the story has Kai Kira receive direction from the Prophets that it was time that Kai Opaka returned to Baior. I forget the details, but with the help of Dr. Julian Bashir, Kira returns to the planet where they were forced to leave Opaka and cures the condition which kept her there. Capt. Kira stepped aside to allow Opaka to return to Bajor as Kai, feeling that returning Bajor's 'True Kai' had been Prophet's Path for her and why she came to power to begin with.
Kinda surprised you didn't include the "What we left behind" documentary version of characters fates since it was with much of the writing team from DS9.
I'm actually just finishing up the Star Trek: Coda trilogy which, as I understand it, is the official end of the book (Destiny) timeline, in order to make way for whatever gets cannonized in the new Trek shows. I've missed a lot of the Books, over the years. It wasn't until recently that I even realized they all share continuity (which is awesome, but daunting too).
Yes, they started to share continuity after Insurrection came out, I think, with more and more books being tied together, beginning with a DS9 continuation (the Avatar duology, initially) and then TNG and Voyager getting full relaunches too, @ObsidianBlk . The first 'arc' culminated in the Destiny trilogy, teaming up several characters, and then into the Typhon Pact books, and The Fall series, plus various spinoffs. Cold Equations was another trilogy, plus the Section 31 books, and now it finally (sob) comes to a close.
Nog was destined to do great things. He had to have the opportunity to chart his own path and not what was expected of him as a Ferengi. Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man, and let history make its own judgements.
So many different versions of every character, I was reading about Dax on Wiki and they have the version of events in which Dax and Bashir break up, or that's the one I read anyway, very hard to keep track of all these different timelines/stories, good video for sure.
On the one hand I still do not see Kira as Kai, but on the other, it must be recognized that in the series, she is more favored with the contact of the prophets (coming to be used by one of them, in the episode in which they face the Pagh wraith), as well as going to the past with one of the orbs. No doubt Kay Winn would have killed just a little bit of that divine experience.
Thank you for all of your hard work on this, I would love to see a part two also thank you for covering the novels and not just the shows, I for one refuse to watch any of the shows, but enjoy the books very much! Also thank you for making it clear that the Destiny series is its own timeline, I fell behind on the novels and it got confusing, but that makes more sense knowing it's two separate time lines in the novels!
Given Star Trek from nearly the begining has had alternate universes and in TNG we see just... exactly what that means with Worf universe hopping (seriously that shot of all the enterprises is genuinely impressive) I'm fine with the books being their own timeline. Heck this isn't the first time that anscilliary media has been 'discanonized' from the prime timeline. See also the FASA tabletop games. So I mean.... Cool. We have our pick of the litter on events and portrayals.
The cast had a getoether where Nana Visitor posited the idea of her character not only becoming Kai but leading a split from the Federation with her first act being the murder of Captain Nog.

Very good overview. I do like Julian staying with Ezri Dax even though I always had a crush on her. I also agree with your choices for where you would like characters to end up.
Not going to happen. Brock Peters died long ago and Avery has been blacklisted from acting gigs according to Cirroc. Best we can have is Cirroc appear back a s Jake, which I hope can happen.
I just found out that some DS9 actors are dead and was having a look on Wikipedia. Found this on actor Aron Eisenberg's (Nog) Wiki page, "On the Star Trek: Discovery episode "Die Trying" that aired November 12, 2020, Eisenberg was honored by a flyby of an Eisenberg-class ship named the USS Nog with the registry number of NCC-325070"
Given what Miles as survived and his ability to blow up literally anything with nothing but bad luck his doning the title Master Chief seems at least justified if not downright satisfying. And Nog having a ship before we see an USS Kirk makes me happy.
In Star Trek Online Dax and Bashir were still on DS9 in 2411(?) While working with Jem Hadar to end a war woth the Hur'q with Bashir being the chief Medical Officer and Dax being the First officer
I wonder how long it would take before humanity just straight up ran out of historical names to give things, and either have to make up new ones or start using ones from alien cultures
I would absolutely love to see a series about a starship commanded by captain Worf where we get to see how he has changed as a person and an officer. I think that would be a super interesting area of the Star Trek universe to explore, seeing him aged and evolved.
I would love to see Worf as Captain and Nog as Chief Engineer. Have Worf start off still having a deep dislike of Ferengi but he slowly changes after working with Nog. It would also be fun to somehow get him to the Delta Quadrant and have to work with Neelix. It would be the ultimate test of his patience.
Can you imagine if Sisko had been able to return to live on Bajor with Kasidy? He could have setup a Creole restaurant and called it something like 'The Emissary's Pantry' or something like that. He'd have been on to a winner - customers would love to eat food prepared by the Emissary I'm sure :D

Nog's story arc in and out of canon are one of my favorites. Quite the evolution from the petty thief, running nefarious errands for Uncle Quark.
Aron Eisenberg's portrayal of him was brilliant as well.

Part 2 is a must.
There is a novel that talks about what happened to Garak ( spoiler he becomes the leader of free Cardassia)
@@clarkmcinnis6152 he is a councilor and I’m pretty sure but might be wrong but he’s the leader of the union
Lets be fair. If we were to start going into Morn's exploits? We'd be here all day.
Bah. That Morn. He just can’t keep his mouth shut.
I would have loved for more to have said just one word on the show. I would have been great if in the last episode he drinks something and, in a voice over by Barry White, says "yeah."
I got to admit, that was a pretty engaging episode you just recapped about what happen to Morn.
Oh come on! We all know Morn is still sitting at Quarks, doing nothing, saying nothing, and moving nothing. Just like he always is.
That is honestly perfect, will be taking this for my own head cannon.
Master Chief Petty Officer Obrien is all I needed to get through my day. Thank you.
My brother worked on this show regularly and I got to attend the last filming and tour much of the set! I got to keep some items too and meet Louise Fletcher
Was the set as impressive at it appeared on screen? For me DS9 is one of the greatest sets ever built.
My friend Michael setterfield also help on the show too that would be great to see the cast
Shout out to the excellent film, “What We Left Behind,” where several of the big writers get together and put together the start of a prospective eighth season 20 or so years after DS9. They come up with a very clever premise. Would love to see it realized somehow, someway.
"I almost forgot about Morn. Well he..." 🤣🤣🤣
Hold up. Morn did what to the Borg Queen!? *looks around* Is that even legal?
He became a profesional singer
He dropped the Morn hammer.
Can't get a word in around that guy
...went on a highly successful speaking tour, telling stories of what it was like to be on the station during the years of 'Sisko's command'. His ability to imitate voices was said to be *LEGENDARY.* 😉
I like that Miles ends up helping the Cardasians recover, a nice end to his ongoing inner conflict regarding the Cardasians war.
the actress that played Ezri went from cute to really beautiful over the last 20 years. Nana Visitor barely changed except for getting platinum white hair.
She was always beautiful.
Quark went on to opening casinos all across the outback quadrant.
In the first episode of picard. You'll see a scene where it shows on Earth casinos and in the limelight you'll see the name QUARK'S
This and Babylon 5 are the best science fiction series ever made that even now I still watch both on a regular basis... And always will.
Totally agree! They are masterpieces of Sci-Fi!
Farscape is wine and these shows are beer
Battlestar Galactica would like a word with you
Being the first of his species to join Star Fleet then becoming a Captain is reason enough for Nog to have a ship named after him
And being one of the very few to legitimately beat the Kobayashi Maru
Interesting note: In Star Trek Online, Miles' son Kirayoshi O'Brien serves as the Chief Engineer of the Enterprise F under Captain Shon.
Picard with Worf as his Number One, now that's a movie I want to see...
Wasn't the USS Nog added to Discovery as a tribute to Aron Eisenberg after his unexpected death in 2019. The Nog is said to be an Eisenberg class vessel.
Oh! I didn't know he died...
Yes it was, :( But adding it as a reference also adds it to the canon, so there is a legacy for both!
Also the USS Yelchin.
It's.... addressed literally EVERY complaint i have ever had and then some.'
'you did sir.'
STO has an event where you basically have both prime DS9 and Mirror/Terran Terok Nor in the same space. It's fun. They could easily do a similar scenario with a rebuilt DS9... So many timelines.
Fuuuuuuck literally everything about the destiny timeline. Completely irredeemable.
Thank you, as a life long DS9 diehard fan, these sort of informative videos are a pleasure to watch :) Thank you so much! :)
Great video.
My number one wish is that Warf finds himself a wife who *doesn't* meet an untimely death. That, and that Quark finally gets that moon he always wanted it.
Quark is said to own a moon in the STO timeline.
@rum runner: Worf* 🙄
In STO he does, the Klingon woman who at one time was married to Quark, they meet after he accepts the role of ambassador and marry, even having a son together later on.
Earth's Moon...
O'Brien as the Master Chief. Totally believe this
My favorite characters from DS9 were Quark and Garak. I'm looking forward to the next video to find out what happened to them.
From what we see in Startrek:Lower Decks, Quark at least expanded his bar into a franchise
I think they got married. There is a clip with the two actors are reading a scene, where Bashir is coming back home from a medical conference.
Likely enjoying a pint of root beer in one of Quark's holosuites.
Quark, O'Brien and Garek...
Quark finally become rich when he starts a briskness selling rootbeer to other Ferengi
I definitely hope Captain Sisco returned to his family. My favorite series of events that you mentioned is the one where he moved to Bajor.
The episode where Jake tried to pull his father out of the time-phase accident freaking wrecked me. Sisko had it rough with Jennifer, no doubt. He deserves some peace and happiness.
He's not the Emissary, he's just a very naughty boy!
I think the DS9 season 8 pitch in what we left behind deserved a shout out. That was something that came from what were some of the most influential writers to have ever worked on star trek. In my tiny brain that makes it canon, moreso than novels or video games. But what the hell do I know.
Nog had the best character growth in Star Trek
I think it says a lot about the show that even third-tier characters on DS9 had more growth than any of the top characters from the other shows.
@@essaboselin5252 very true
It breaks my heart that we will never get a Runion show like Picard for the ds9 cast due to so many cast members having passed.

@@trollerpilotxiv3079 have your forgotten how dark DS9 was? that show had some shit in it that made modern trek seem tame by comparison. the only thing "dark" about modern trek is the lighting sure it plays arround with dark themes and ideas but it always leaves off with some sort of happy ending by the end of the season DS9 didn't do that when it went dark it didn't just handwave it away with a good feelings season finally where all the problems get resolved in the final 5 min it let us feel it in all of its fucked up glory.

I mean he has a moon... Rom is Grand Negas with lita at his side in STO as well. Best outcomes IMO.
Oh and he does get a really cool overpowered Marauder.
He does get his own Bar on another planet (maybe a franchise) as seen in Season 1 of Picard.
@@jacara1981 haven’t watched that yet. Don’t have that streaming service, and haven’t bothered trying to pirate it.
I just want him to have that moon he was always groaning about. The moon is named Quark's, because of course it is. And it's the largest gambling establishment in the entire quadrant. Because it's a moon.
It was a good series. Last month -- before they disappear into the void of the streaming-media timeline -- I got the entire set of DVDs that include the dialogue of the audio tracks in English, German, Spanish and Italian. Odo sounds the business in German :-)
Everybody does in German. I mean, it's not a great sounding language for romantic scenes or slick con men types.

Huge Treky here. DS9 is my 2nd or3rd favorite trek. Mainly due to all the Klingon involvement. Enterprise is my first
it seems odd there is any thought given to the humble dress shop owner Garak but it is nice you and star trek has a love for this humble and completely un notable back ground character
His lungeons with Julian were nice bits of focus for the young still wet behind the ears overly optimistic doctor to get a bit of local perspective. Plus there is that story where he found himself as a gardener on Romulas.
He is a man of many talents and he offers a surprising degree of situational insight.

Worf becoming Captain for the Enterprise feels very well earned to me.
I love the in depth backstory you did on morn. I seriously didn't know that.
It's all there in his dialogue!
Nana Visitor, or Kira Nerys in ST, was someone I had a huge crush on back in the days. My oh my, such a beauty....
Point three is false. It's a conspiracy theory created by extremists who hate all modern Trek. Don't spread extremist lies.

My most loved series. Space station setting was pure genius . It got me interested in Babylon 5.
You know paramount stole a lot of the themes for DS9 form JMS when he pitched B5 to them. Still kind of irks me JMS got screwed by paramount.
@@scotttild I did read that, B5 wasn't on my scope till then
In the “Star Trek: Countdown”, Picard was the admiral in charge of the evacuation plan for the Romulans and during this time period, Worf was commanding a Klingon vessel.
Kasidy Yates became the chief medical officer on the Orville.
Garaks story in the books is, of course, the most interesting in my opinion.
I want Ezri x Bashir x Garak canon. It's the throuple Star Trek deserves.
I could see them being a sortof simi open relationship.
@@singletona082 they're in the O'Brien polycule already
Ok yeah, this is the only real solution.
Heh.)
I loved the Captain Kurland reference.
"Kurland here!"
4:10 Also in STO, O’Brian becomes the Chief Engineer of the U.S.S. Enterprise-F, under the command of Captain Va’Kel Shon.
Please do a part 2, what made DS9 so good was the diverse set of non federation characters
I really hoped for a series in the Gamma quadrant with Nog as Number one on a Federation starship.
@certifibale ingame with kira being in command of ds9 would be a full circle and great , as in the beginning it was a byjoran station with command being starfleet, that make it starfleet Station with a byjoran in command
2:05 "..Kurland, here." lol nice STO DS9 mission reference.

My favourite star trek series! Ds9 will always be the best!
I love the "switch" you mention between Sisko and Kira.
BUT
...
Garak x Bashir forever
On Kira Nerys, you left off Opaka... On ST: Online, the story has Kai Kira receive direction from the Prophets that it was time that Kai Opaka returned to Baior.
I forget the details, but with the help of Dr. Julian Bashir, Kira returns to the planet where they were forced to leave Opaka and cures the condition which kept her there.
Capt. Kira stepped aside to allow Opaka to return to Bajor as Kai, feeling that returning Bajor's 'True Kai' had been Prophet's Path for her and why she came to power to begin with.
Now that is a Kai version of Kira I can get behind!!
In the novels, Ro Laren becomes DS9's commander. So, still have a Bajoran in charge
I wanted sisko to have a happy ending with his family
“Under the command of Captain Kurland here” 😂😂
So many different versions of every character, I was reading about Dax on Wiki and they have the version of events in which Dax and Bashir break up, or that's the one I read anyway, very hard to keep track of all these different timelines/stories, good video for sure.
But what almost any good DS9 fan wants to know is this:
Did Quark ever get that moon he was always bemoaning about?
OMG! The Morn gag at the end!!!!!!!! POINTS!!!!!! Well played man!!!
Thank you for all of your hard work on this, I would love to see a part two
also thank you for covering the novels and not just the shows, I for one refuse to watch any of the shows, but enjoy the books very much!
To be honest, this is way better than the "Legends" shenanigans in Star Wars...
The cast had a getoether where Nana Visitor posited the idea of her character not only becoming Kai but leading a split from the Federation with her first act being the murder of Captain Nog.
The three books in the "CODA" series books basically invalidate every book in the Star Trek universe from the movie "Star Trek First Contact" forward in order to have the TV series "Picard" and "Discovery".
I mean deleting the entire universe is a bit much, but it does tie everything up fairly nicely :)

One thing I love about STO is how deft they were in closing up open-ended storylines from the shows... even the smallest ones you would not think of needing closure on.
Well yeah, can always make few new ZEN store ships availeable for 30euros with any new inconsequential thing... :d
What about Jake Sisco and Garak?
I want to see Benjamin open a restaurant in his later years like his dad. Hopefully he got that gumbo recipe from his Dad before he died. Gotta keep on those family traditions and even Jake could come help out from time to time between books to get ideas for new books and such.
If we're talking books well Ezra becomes the captain of a star shop of her own for many years, sicko also gets his own ship as capt. Ds9 is blowed up but a new space station is built totally designed by miles obrien, quark is still run ing a new bar on the space station, word went back to the enterprise and eventually got his own ship. The enterprise lol. Rom was still grand nagus, Jake became the writer he always dreamed of being, nog ended up being an admiral and one of the leaders of star fleet, garak becomes the leader of cardassia, doo came back and is once again constable after leaving the great link, there's alot of stories non Canon that are better than most series episodes.
STO also says the Enterprise J is captained by a Dax as well. So, she is a big piece in the future.
Very good overview. I do like Julian staying with Ezri Dax even though I always had a crush on her.
I also agree with your choices for where you would like characters to end up.
From the previews of Picard season 2 I think there is a very strong change of Sisko or his father showing up at some point.
I wonder how long it would take before humanity just straight up ran out of historical names to give things, and either have to make up new ones or start using ones from alien cultures
haha you said Kurland here... that brought a tear of joy
I hope we see sisko and some other TNG characters in Picard
We all saw what happened to Jake, he grew up to become Kurn.
Really sad about how they end up in the Coda trilogy. Will there be a video done about it?
It was a glorious end in the eyes of any Klingon!
Whatever may have happened to Garak, you can be damned sure it is anything but "plain" and "simple"...
The fact that there is a Starfleet ship named after Jackie Robinson is amazing
Kurland, here.
Well done, well done indeed.
I would absolutely love to see a series about a starship commanded by captain Worf where we get to see how he has changed as a person and an officer. I think that would be a super interesting area of the Star Trek universe to explore, seeing him aged and evolved.
It feels like a "Captain Worf" series would be the "Velvet hammer" approach to Starfleet.
@@DocWolph agreed and I could completely get on board with that
I would love to see Worf as Captain and Nog as Chief Engineer. Have Worf start off still having a deep dislike of Ferengi but he slowly changes after working with Nog.
