Update: Disaster. Kind of. 1. You better have a rolling pin Otherwise you’re getting a full upper body workout. 2. I don’t have all that hot pot stuff, so I threw in a bunch of miso cup-of-soup packets - which had tofu chunks, and seaweed pieces. 👍 3. Looked like a pot of tapeworms. Other than that, pretty delicious, and tasty! Thanks @ JBF!
We had Hoto in Kawaguchiko to and after eating it, I really was wondering why nobody (internationally) is talking about it!? It is rich, creamy and I would argue healthy, with all those veggies in there. A must try IMO. Thank you Shizuka and @JapanbyFood for sharing how it's done.
4:43 the best way to eat cake after a stair master workout 😅 good job on making the noodles, looks just as delicious, and cool story from the Taxi Driver about the "Fuji-ko" nick name, that is cute
Aloha Shizuka! Loved this Mt. Fuji video. That Mt. Fuji chiffon cake looked so tasty. When I visited Mt. Fuji in 2019 I tried a Mt. Fuji Melon-pan and that was so delicious. But that chiffon cake.... wow! Thank you for taking us along on your adventure.
It’s like stepping back in time. And what a view from the top! Just amazing. Yummy food to round off a great experience. The hoto noodles look so good, especially with that broth!
The taxi-man saved the day! What a view! The nutritious battle food is something else. Quite some time to prepare, guess those last moments were needed. Shizuka looks really cute holding the Mt. Fuji cake and walking off with it. Hey, some fun times with these timeless travelers. 🫕
The view of Mt. Fuji looks so breathtaking Shizuka! Gosh, I'm so envious! And when I go back to Japan I will definitely try the hoto noodles soup. It looked delicious Shizuka!
@@JapanbyFood Hello I’am going on a 2 day trip with my girlfriend from Tokyo in oktober we want to go to Meiji Shrine. And what would you advise me the 2nd day on this day trip to mount Fujii Pagoda Kawaguchi Shrine that you showed on this video or to Nikko shrine??
The Mt. Fuji cake looks like weird tourist thing. Slice the mountain and drop in some Hokkaido ice cream. The noodles look awesome. Chewy, thick noodles...yum.
Exactly, maybe they should put custard cream as the lava inside the volcano, and the cake should come in 2 sizes, with a small version the size of a cupcake
You have to walk up 400 stairs to reach this temple and 400 stairs to walk down. I call this 800 stairs, lots of stairs and sure hope your wearing comply shoes. I had no doubt you would make it. Yum cakes. Making noodles with your hands and loved your reaction. Your dinner looked so delicious. 1 Word Outstanding
I knew it right away, just by glancing at the title! Stairs again, huh? Next time you better ride the elevator, my friend! No need for those sneaky leg workouts in high-heeled boots! The hot pot of Hoto Noodles looks delicious!😛😄😉
I don't know if it's just me but I like climbing these staircases because it gives me a feeling of achieving something. Definitely going to make some Hoto Noodles now
I just came back from japan - and went up to the Chureito pagoda! thank you for giving me good reminders (and no so good reminders) from the travel to the top.
It's been a while since I watched a how to class on this channel. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. The process of folding backwards; I have seen videos of the Japanese making steel and I have watched them make omelettes and now I have watched noodles being made this way..I look forward to trying to make the noodles and the soup. Thanks for the video. It's the best one I have watched in a while.
@@JapanbyFood I watched a katana being made and they would take the red hot steel bar and continually fold it backwards while they hammered out the blade. That video was from the city where they make all of the knives. This was about the time I realized how much I had fallen for the people and the craftsmanship they possess.
Shizukaaaaaaa
man i love your happy vibes.. you're so adorable!!
Glad you enjoy our content!
That looks so easy to make! I'm making some for lunch tomorrow!
Yes, hope it tastes good!

LOVE THAT LOCATION!!!! HOTO IS OUTSTANDINGLY YUMMY ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE THERE. 💓
Perfect meal to warm you up!
she straight up just bit the side of the mt fuji cake hahaha

Hoto noodles looks so good
They taste amazing!
shizuka always exploring places with huge amount of stairs in those 10-15inch heels is absolutely beyond me. HOW.
You need an intense training to achieve this skill haha
Beautiful scenery!
It really isss!
Thank You for sharing this video I will like to doing this day trip also when I’m back in 🇯🇵
Please try!

Thank you for letting me simultaneously simp for you and learn about Japan. The mountains are so lucky to be blessed by such loveliness 😍
Shizuka's now famous hiking shoes make another appearance. 🎉 👏😁
Oh yeah, always prepared! :P
😂😂😂
You’d think you wouldn’t need hiking boots for stairs! 😆 But I’m always mistaken in Japan 😂😂
Shizuka-sama SHINES in Fuji~san. 🗻♥️🇯🇵🇵🇭
Always!!!
❤️🇯🇵🗻
❤️
Hey hey. Do you have the Google map link on where to watch the Mount Fuji on the last section of the video?
Shizuka could be an import model ❤
Who says " your can't have your cake and eating it too". Shizuka san you are killing it. Hope you managed to finish the chiffon cake.
We finished it with the team:)

They do recommend eating it with cream and some other toppings ☺️
Do you recommend a place to stay the night in lake kawaguchiko?

Needless to say, it was a lot of stairs 🥲🥲 but the view was worth it! And the food too😊
Shizuka is the Food Hashira. 😂
When was this video made? Is it me or it seems like autumn or start of spring 🤔 according to the trees 😁
This was a bit before the bloomTT
Is that a Burberry Trench Coat 🧥? Love 💗 it on you.
Killing it as Always Shizuka and Team !!
Thanks a lot for your support!!!❤
Beautifully made noodles.
Eloquent roadside cake eating 😉
Gorgeous views of Mt. Fuji.
Another fun episode with Shizuka 🌹
Thank you for watching! Noodles were truly amazing! Roadside cake eating was fun and Mt. Fuji looked gorgeous as always 😊
where was the Outro taken? I would love to to biking in there as well :)

The best places do not have elevator accessTT But we like the feeling of getting there on our own! It is a challenge!

Simply beautiful.
Truly ❤
It's near my parents' house. I'm a graduate of a junior high school near there.
What a great place to live!
@@JapanbyFood thank you💕But it's cold in winter.🥶
Where was the spot located?😅
Which spot? The pagoda is Chureito and is located in Arakuyama Sengen Park:)
I don't know if it's just me but I like climbing these staircases because it gives me a feeling of achieving something. Definitely going to make some Hoto Noodles now
There definitely is something about the staircase! We feel the same ❤
Id love to visit Fuji🫠
We hope you will visit soon!
Is the next video delayed?
I used to make these noodles while the wine cooled in the fridge :p
Hmmm yum! That sounds like a nice combo!

OK, the Fuji cake looks very cool... good work S!

Hi Ellie and Shizuka! Great team!

Wow!!! Great observation 😁
shizuka is what we call, a "cutie"
We do!
I ate at my parents' house so much that I got tired of it. www!
Is there a fine on mt. fuji if you are caught 'doin it'
Very nutty. Lol. Jkjk.
wrong day to pick heels.
It was risky! But we are suckers for a good challenge!
There's never a wrong day for nice heels :3

did Shizuka finish the whole Mt. Fuji cake all by herself? i love her even more now 😂
We ate it all together:P
But she could totally finish it by herself!
