My wife and I stayed in Kawaguchiko for three nights this last November. The weather was perfect and Mount Fuji was not shy and showed herself cloudless most of the time. we really enjoyed our stay there. Excellent restaurants for breakfast through dinner. A very relaxing place. We took the Bat Cave and Ice Tours at Lake Saiko. Very Interesting.
very nice and relaxing to watch, do you still remember the name of the family run ramen restaurant where you had lunch and had the seriously delicious pork katsu and best udon? Thanks :)
"Wow, this vlog is so helpful! 🚗✨ Hiring a car sounds like a great idea for exploring Mount Fuji 🗻. The tips on things to do and places to eat in Fujikawaguchiko are spot on! 🍣🍜 Definitely adding this to my travel bucket list! 🧳❤" Fyi.
Hey Karen, what month were you there (April / May)? I'm heading there for my first visit in May 2025. Can't wait. Already have accomodation and hire car booked!
Hi Karen! Thank you for such great travel vlog. I'm going to Mt.Fuji this year's autumn with my fam and i think hiring a car is the most effective way to get around the area. If i may ask, other than the international driving license, do yo need to save a deposit during the rent? If yes how much. Thank you :)
Nice itinerary but could be more helpful if you share some tips and other useful information like the way to get around the area. By the way do you have the link for car rental? Do we also need to acquire an international driver's license? How about the parking fees around kawaguchiko? What navigator app did you use? Planning to rent a car on our Mt. fuji trip next year to save time and explore more..Thanks..
@@karenexplores Thank you! That was the concern I had. Also, is the control layout in Japanese rental cars the same as in Australian cars? For example, is the indicator stalk still on the right side of the steering wheel? I'm sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I'm really excited about the idea of driving in Japan. 😅
If we stay 2 nights and just want to hit the main attractions, including Chireito Pagoda, is it better if we buy public transport ticket? I saw that you guys did have an issue with GPS since all in Japanese. Info will be appreciated. I like your youtube
If you are staying for 2 nights public transport is fine! It is slower than having a car but either way, it shouldn’t be an issue. The issue we had was with our phone sims so I wouldn’t blame the car. But yes, next time I would definitely ask the car rental staff to change the settings to English 🙂
There is a train stop not too far from the Pagoda as well. I would recommend getting there in the morning before all the express buses get there from Shinjuku

Very interesting video! I love Fuji san!! However , I suggest that you learn how to use the chopsticks as Asian people LoL.
Great vlog! Did you use any special device or just your mobile?

Do you need to get your own ETC card/device before you drive in the Kawaguchiko area?
I am not sure about this. We used google maps and selected no tolls for our routes!
