Thank you so much for doing these Stones songs in Standard. I don't have enough guitars to leave on in Open G, and I'm not going to retune a guitar every time I want to play one of these. Thank you!
You. have it down really well --the original INTRO etc --well done --very few instructors include that essential 3 chord intro right at the beginning--thankyou --great lesson !
I love your job! Have you thought about doing something about My mind on rambin of the Black Keys? I think it's a band that you like a lot and I share that taste!😁
Just….like….well….DUDE! Awesome stuff! You’ve put a ton of time, energy, and thought into your tabs and playing on this and others. (Like your Little Queenie and Carol). Wonderful! Thanks. Thanks a ton! Cheers from Canada.
Good tutorial, however the C# chord is too much and adds a couple of notes that clash with the harmonic context. Since the c# is the 3rd of A major, it's probably better to just play the A major. Still, I enjoyed your lesson because it's a nice clean inroad to playing the song right out of the box.
Hi Wataru, yes, the pitch differs. The original is a little lower, less than half step if I’m not wrong. The guitar on the original recording was tuned in Open E. But I don’t know if the reason for the pitch difference is that the guitar was tuned a little lower or if the master tape of the recording was a little slower, causing this difference in the pitch. I don't know...
The original song is in B♭ (flat)...why do the Stones (and you) lift it half a tone when playing it live? Also, I guess this is personal, but for me it's much easier to do a barre chord instead of using that thumb on the 6th string.
Hi Eduardo, I think it's not the live versions that are lifted, but the studio recording that was tuned a half step down, or maybe less than a half step (if I'm not wrong). But it's just a matter of tuning. Was the guitar tuned in Open Eb? or was the tape rotation a little slower? I don't know... And regarding the thumb on the 6th string, yes, it's a personal choice of course. I prefer to use it 😉

Hello I’m wataru from japan
So I have a question
What’s this song’s tuning ?
Is it standard tuning ?
The pitch differs from the original sound source

Hi !! Thank you for your reply:)
I changed the tuning to halftone and it fit perfectly !!!
Thank you for your advice :)

Aside from your superb tutorial, the ladies can't figure if you look more like Billy Squire or Daniel Day Lewis.
Me ? Thanks for the "INFO."
Lol 😄
Bet it doesn't sound that way on a Gibson guitar.
Honkey Tonk Women
Super!
