A former winner here in Ireland in Car Of The Year, the 3008 single handedly created a jump in market share for the Peugeot brand.
In this video, I take a look at the 1.2 petrol engine in Allure trim!

15 diesel is the one to buy with great torque, best drive, 60's mpg and best resale values in it's class !
Only found this channel because yourself and JimJim mentioned it this morning. And the first video I watch is the car that I own!
I’ve a 3008 GT Line almost 3 years. It’s the most reliable car I’ve ever had in 25 years of driving. And that’s including quite a variety of brands. This is my 2nd Peugeot, also had a 205 back in the day.
In the UK we get a 3 pin plug socket in the back under the vents, would have preferred usb, but it's a nice feature.
Hi Nobby good review on the Peugeot 3008. Brought one yesterday after watching your reviews. Cheers.
I wish others listened to my advice as closely ☺️🙌🏻
I am thinking about buying 3008 , 2019 1.5 hdi .
I am reading about the Adblue and the electric brake issues .
you owns this car can you gives me advice ? is it worth it to buy the car

Hi , yes the 3008 is definitely worth buying.
Nice car to drive, and never had any issues with the car🤞.
The Ad blue , you would need to top-up every 8000 miles.
Apart from that , great looking car.
Go for the GT Line. Has all the extras. Good luck.
glad this is sold only 2.0 diesel and automatic in my country. tomorrow going to test one once more to make a decision
Love your vids! Just found your channel and love to watch reviews on cars I can’t get my hands on here in the US. You’re not bad to look at either!
Just bought one Nobby great car
Good review as always Nobby. As an Irish man living in the UK I've had to learn to say 'Perrrgeo' to avoid ridicule, lol. These are great cars. I've had the GT Line 3008 for almost 2 years now and still love it. Merry Xmas and happy new year.
ha ok, glad it's not just me getting the abuse. Perrrrr-Joe. Thanks for watching!

I have had one for 3 years and liked it so much i just bought another one 1.2 PETROL.
How do you find the 1.2 petrol? seems such a small engine for such a big car but all the reviewers seem to like it.
@@Dreadpirateflappy The 1.2 petrol is very nippy its a great engine ,good around town and on a long run .
Great review, thank you.
Excellent review. As a comparison, in Oz we only get the 1.6L petrol engine with 6 speed auto in all models except GT which gets the 2.0L diesel with auto. No 1.2L or manual. The 1.6L Auto Allure costs the rough equivalent of €25k - €30k depending on age and options. Peugeot has a bad reputation in AU so is difficult to sell in numbers and depreciation is vicious. I’d still like a GT Line 1.6L Auto though which costs about what you pay for the Allure manual. Mind you that’s for a 2018 built new car. Told you they weren’t popular here.
Superb review Nobby !! I am new on your channel and find it through the review of the C5 Aircross. Keep up the good work mate as your channel is IMHO one oft the best automotive channels on the tube.
Welcome along to the party Robert!

anyone who owns this car and gives me advice ? is it worth it to buy the car
Am i missing something? Motoring press absolutely raves over the 1.2 engine, here described with plenty of poke. I test drove one and found it really sluggish, put your foot down and nothing happens felt like i had to stay in lane 1 on the m25 for fear of getting in everyone else’s way
Maybe it’s just not the car for you. Output for what it is intended for (carrying kids and families) is fine.
have to agree with Peter - test drove it for an hour and to get it moving it really needed high revving - if you like plodding along at a fairly slow pace its fine ( as many people seem to do ) its all fine. But if you want at least a bit of go then for this quite large heavy car you really need to go to the 1.6 165 bhp 4 cylinder petrol.
1.2 Petrol, had bad reviews, due to the wet belt issues
Nobby, which is the better, more refined car, this or the Grandland X?
not sure about better - that's subjective but refined, probably the Grandland
@@NobbyOnCars Thank you
Hi, I know I'm a bit late to the party here, but is that amazonite grey? Thanks!
That it is !
Ah, thought so. Is it more grey than green? In the process of buying one, but in lockdown I can only go on images and videos. Not usually a fan of green cars, but this looks lovely. Thank you!
@@suziaddison4733 in sunlight and if caught the right way, there can be a hint of a green colour. It’s definitely not as dark / deep as a true grey but you wouldn’t call it a green colour all the same.
Thank you 👍
Final question! Would you go for the 3008 over the Audi Q2?
Lot's of problems with that pure tech engine especially with the timing belt which is sealed within an oil carter and is very difficult to replace.
I'm a mechanic and I wouldn't touch a 3008 with a barge poll hate them toooo many issues hand brake injectors and DPFs etc etc so stay will clear .all french cars are pure Brock .
You are not mechanic. Peugeot 3008 has no more issues than other cars. And it has FAP not DPF. FAP is better because this filter don't need high temperatures for regeneration which is important for use modern diesel in cities and towns
