  • On day 1 of this episode, we traveled from Bergen to Flåm via the Norled Expressboat, enjoying blue sky views of Sognefjord - Norway's longest and deepest fjord - during the 5-1/2 hour journey. Our cabin at Flåm Camping was a short walk from the dock, nestled against the waterfall-laced cliffs surrounding the small hamlet. On day 2, we took a rainy round-trip ride on the Flåm Railway to Myrdal Station, which was scenic despite the weather. This included a stop at the raging Kjosfossen. Day 3 we hunkered down in the wind and rain from Severe Storm Hans, which wreaked havoc across Scandinavia. Many landslides and flooded rivers were forcing cancellations of our upcoming train and bus bookings. On the plus side, many new cascades sprung to life on the cliffs above Flåm, which we enjoyed while dodging raindrops. Managed to book a bus to Sogndal, then wandered around town for 2 days, waiting for roads and bus services to reopen to Lom - our next destination.
