I visited Iceland, had prepared various things to see, but the best part for myself and often rarely mentioned is the people. A rare breed, tough, independent and self reliant, but also truly welcoming and friendly. Cannot wait to go back before tourism ruins it, it is already changing.
Yup. I was last there in 2018 and the tourists from one specific country…not naming it here…were horrible. Never followed the rules on trails, rarely stayed behind barriers, and continuously stopped along the road.
We just visited Iceland a day ago and we stayed there for 3 days and 3 nights definitely worth it and I fell in love with the place and I will go back to Iceland probably next year
@@rajiv.premali3412 we did the vacation through a tour, and it included a shuttle service. However, during our off day we either mostly walked or took taxi’s to our destinations.
We went to Iceland for our Honeymoon in September. Was by far the coolest place i have been, i find myself looking at videos like this more and more just to take me back to beauty of Iceland.
@@RyanShirley I would say Glacier Lagoon and Diamond beach was the most interesting. But honestly i just looked forward to driving everyday because of all the landscape you see along the way. I can’t express how insane you’re vidios are I don’t know how you do it you work so hard to make everyone mesmerised in there seats ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I went there as a younger kid, and although it was mostly misty and rainy it really added to the atmosphere. It was an amazing country and hope to go back as soon as I can
Andy! My man, I’m so happy I could meet you, Scott, and Pete on our tour of Thorsmork. I hope the rest of your time in Iceland and Italy was amazing! Me and Heather need to come to Australia soon
Thanks for sharing the nice video. It is a polite and appreciative expression that acknowledges someone's effort in sharing enjoyable or informative content. It shows gratitude for their thoughtfulness and the positive impact the video had on the recipient.
Hey! Just curious, how do you find all of these absolutely amazing scenic spots? I am amazed at how many hidden gems you explore that most people have never even heard of? I would love your advice, thanks!
Hello! Beautiful video and thank you for sharing! I'm commenting to encourage the second part that you mentioned at the end: I'm ready for Iceland Part 2 and to see where else you both went!
Was there last month, gorgeous fairy tale country. Took group tours to Snaefellesness, Jokulsaron, Landmannalaugavegur, and Golden Circle. Also did some hikes very close to Reykjavik, our base. Love 🇮🇸 so much, thinking of taking round trip cruise around Iceland to 4 ports next summer. Maybe you can join me and my family 😂 but I don’t see you as a cruiser 😂. Thanks for the memories and for help planning my repeat trip
We are headed to Iceland next month. We have been there before. We like Jokursalon Lagoon, Draholey which looks down on the Black Sand Beach you mentioned near Vik. We also liked Dettifoss and Skogafoss. There is a glacier that you can walk up to right off the Ring Road between Vik and Selfoss. I forget the name. After Iceland, we are checking out Greenland.
Thanks for this video. Beautiful country! Every time we plan a trip, your videos are our first reference. We’re planning a trip to Iceland and also plan to spend few days in Greenland. Not sure if you’ve considered making a video about Greenland yet, but we are eager to see your videos and recommendations.
Wow awesome video Ryan! I was just thinking today of hopefully taking a trip to Iceland this year. I’ve always wanted to go and this popped up, right on! It looks like such a beautiful country, with volcanoes glaciers black sand beach and waterfalls
@@RyanShirley thank you! I’ve heard nothing but positive things and your video showed some super cool looking places to check out! It looks a country that is really naturally beautiful
Wow!! Just coming across this while planning my trip for Sept 2025. So many great tips and beautiful shots. Any problems taking your drone? I want to get one and learn to fly so I can capture other angles of this magnificent landscape
Thank you so much for sharing! We’re heading in a few months, so this really helped us narrow down our stops. How many nights were you there for you to cover all of this?
Thanks, it’s one of several countries on the trip, so can’t commit that long. But. will be there for 7 days, so I have some route planning to do for sure!
I initially saw the recent enormous volcanic destruction to some parts of ICELAND and it stirred my curiosity as to what it is usually like.. so then I stumbled upon your video., Everything in your tour was excellent. Just the comment you made; made it seem unpleasant to me.. have a good day..
This trip looked absolutely otherworldly and magical 🤩 I probably won’t be able to see all the great spots that you guys did, but I would like to closely emulate this trip next year. I’m wondering, around when did you guys go and what was the duration of your guys’ trip?
Thanks so much friend! I was there in august and we spent 9 days, if you drive around the ring road you’ll be able to visit most of these places pretty easily.
Amazing video and showcasing all these beautiful locations! I have a question. How do you go about going to these locations? Is simple as following google maps or do you have a guide to bring you to these locations? I solo travel and I’d like to have the confidence to traverse through these areas. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks brother! I just use google maps, Iceland is pretty easy to navigate, there’s a road that wraps around the whole country, it’s super fun to road trip in a rental car.
hey buddy amazing shots and great info in the video, which month did you visited ice land when you shot these amazing pictures and how many days it took for you to cover the places you have mentioned! love from India❤
Hey Ryan, I've been watching all of your old videos and have finally caught up with this one. You cover places in such a wonderful way and show all the sights. Thanks and looking forward to where you end up next 😀
@RyanShirley Hey Ryan, I think you have been most places I can think of. I also see you have covered the UK at least twice and Scotland once. One place I can recommend if you are ever here again is the Lake District (Or just The Lakes) in Cumbria north UK. It is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful and magical places in the world (but I am bias ofc 🙂). I also notice you mostly cover wide areas and continents. Maybe you could do videos on specific cities or places? Anyway, take care and thanks for the reply 👍

I went to Iceland for my second just in June! Did you make it to the Westfjords? That’s where the true Top 10 is ;) but let’s not get it too overrun with tourists that was part of its magic.
@@RyanShirley I have a feeling you’d really enjoy Rauðasandur Beach, Bjargtangar, Dynjandi (best waterfall in Iceland - worth the trek on another trip), plenty of cute towns on fjords, and of course many hot springs! Including one on the edge of the Greenland Sea next to Krossnes for a fraction of the cost of the hot springs on the rest of the island. Far less traveled, I had some hot springs all to myself for over an hour, many right on the edge of the fjord and free! I highly recommend a Westfjords-only trip in the future!
Iceland 🇮🇸 is definitely one of the most incredible countries in the world, I’m saying “incredible” because is impossible not to remain astonished by its nature 🌋❄️
