- Another half arsed tutorial on building better bass lines. I did a tutorial on basslines a while ago on the Model:Samples and here I show a slightly different technique for keeping basslines moving in a musical way in the Tracks.
There is a very basic explanation of chords and the role that bass plays in a chord sequence and then the implementation of the ideas shown on the Novation Circuit Tracks.

This video is so helpful. What preset did you use on synth 1? Is it a default from the circuit tracks or is it from a different pack?
Hi, I tend to create patches for myself so if I remember correctly this is a square wave with the cut off rolled down on it and not much sustain.
@DocBolus I absolutely love it. Would I be able to cash app you for some patches possibly? Maybe even ask you a few questions about sound design?
Always happy to help, so ask away. I am very slowly working on getting some patches and samples put on a website but that is a very slow work in progress.

As for questions, well there's this one zippy sounding synth lead from a favorite song I have. And I am wondering how to possibly replicate it, to cover the song. Replicate it or modify an existing patch to get as close to that sound as possible?

Yep without doubt it is my favourite feature on the Tracks. Most of the rest is pretty much the same as the OG Circuit but that and the snapshots on the mixer screen just make performance with it so much easier.
