100 miles is no biggie. It’s a nice drive and many people commute it for work. And yes, the US is *huge* and contains different cultures and a lot of very different accents. The United States are what’s on the label- united STATES with each state functioning like a little country. In some ways it’s more like the EU than England. And it takes a long time to go around. I’ve been to a fair number of states but by no means all. You can vacation in many very different locations- desert, tundra, mountains, seas, lakes, plains… all without leaving the US
Lost in the Pond is good for learning about comparisons and if you want to learn about quality of life or the foods available in the US react to Jolly. People are catching on to just how many types of food are available by seeing their videos.
Hi Justin - This is the first time I’ve seen one of your reactions; it was excellent so I subscribed to your channel. I think you have a very unique perspective and I look forward to more of your videos. Greg from Ohio USA
Great reaction. Lost in the pond has a bunch of great videos. Sometime you should react to the fat electrician. He is hilarious and a great story teller. He mainly does military history videos, but he is really funny. 👍
Yeah, I get the feeling most people who live outside the US don’t really understand how big it is. It’s like 50 different countries in culture, values or ways of life. The continuous 48 states encompass over 8,000,000 square kilometers.
To be honest - IMO it isn't actually reasonable to use any city in Alaska. For example, Juneau, the Capital city, has roughly 30,000 residents - most of them (roughly 25,000), live within the built-up (or "urban") part of Juneau, which comprises 14 (Yes, Fourteen) square miles. The other 5000 people are spread across the other 3,000+ square miles within the "city limits" of Juneau - which includes over 500 square miles of water. Sitka has a population of less than 10,000 and Wrangell is about 2,000 people. While Anchorage is a city of almost 300,000 (almost 40% of the population of the state), its "Urban" area - containing 3/4s of the population is less than 80 square miles. The other 1,860+ square miles holds the other 1/4th. Love Alaska - just doesn't fit within most people's definitions.
The US is 3.8 million square miles. Europe- the continent, not just the EU members- is 3.9 million square miles. That's a difference of less than 3%. And in all this, don't forget that our neighbor to the North is larger than us!
Yeah, 100 miles isn't much. A commute from my house in the SF Bay Area to San Francisco and back again is about 100 miles. 50 miles each way. People in the US make that kind of commute every workday.
him driving 189 as a commute is NOT normal in the USA. NOBODY I mean NOBODY will make that drive LMAO... just for work... fk that... he's lying about that part. We will travel 60ish miles for shopping though. But def not commuting for work.
Lawrence does not commute 189 miles daily for work. He doesn't drive. He occasionally travels to Indianapolis for work related things, but that is not commuting.
@@kokomo9764 "work related things" is still driving for "work" and NOBODY does that bs.... your avg American would NOT do that... stop lying to this man!

British Columbia makes the UK look like a tiny island. The UK is only 4 times larger than our largest of 40 thousand islands.
The US is certainly big enough. Laurence has some good content but he does like his puns.

Watch the video again, he never said he commutes 184 miles for work.
I knew a woman who commuted three hours each way to work.
Bro please do more videos like this💯 this video was a banger definitely subscribing
Thanks for the sub! More will definitely be uploaded.
