Yes, originally this were just their uniforms at that time, but after Foxfest they had their costume change and they still try to change to their old costumes for this song. When they started make this video, the song was not even finished. Yes, this bassist is Fami! This was the first song of her very first performance live with audience after joining LOVEBITES! March 11th, 2023, first day of a double session on the weekend, resulted in "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate" (released August 23rd, 2023).

An epic collab to be sure, and an incredible song; it sounds like it could be in a Disney animated musical. And the "ooha- ooha" part brings to mind the anniversary party in Fix-it Felix's apartment in the movie "Wreck-it Ralph" ("Fix-it Felix, ooha-ooha"). 😁 Anyway . . . . BABYMETAL has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around since 2010, and started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the group in 2018 because of health concerns, and early in 2023 Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer. BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums with over fifty songs, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. As Grington has already given you info on Babymetal, I will instead offer some on Electric Callboy. Similar to Babymetal, they have been around since 2010, however, they blew up in popularity during Covid after they got their new vocalist Nico Sallach. They make fun entertaining songs mixing Techno/EDM with Metalcore, which fans have begun calling Partycore. It's impossible not to have fun with them, really the same can be said about Babymetal as well. In which, both bands are fantastic live. Saw EC back in May at Sonic Temple and then saw Babymetal last month in Cincinnati. Recommendations; Babymetal: Road of Resistance Live in Japan or Headbanger Live @ Legend 1997 (abr metal has a good version titled Headbanger Legend of 1997. Also note, 1997 is the year their lead singer was born, not the year the concert took place) Electric Callboy: Hypa Hypa or We Got the Moves Another band you might enjoy is Jinjer, which for their first viewing, I would recommend their song Pisces (Live Session)

Good first reaction. Great collaboration between two great bands. Electric Callboy (yes the guys in disco ball helmets) are from Germany, they're great fun. BABYMETAL (the three young ladies) are from Japan - and you have never seen or heard anything quite like them. No need to imagine how well this works and how much the crowd enjoys it live, you can see for yourself. There are videos (including an official one from Fox_Fest in Japan) of them playing it together - they've done that 8 times at different festivals in Japan, Germany and Spain. BABYMETAL started in 2010 aged 12 and 11 as a fusion of Metal with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics ... they have been pushing boundaries and breaking through walls ever since. In the 14 years since then they have gone on to become one of the very best live bands on the planet. They have about 70 songs now, each one different to the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre (thrash, djent, power, speed, black, death, folk, Prog etc), but they will mix and blend so many more musical styles with the metal (Jpop, ska, Bollywood, Middle Eastern Psy-trance, dub step, Latino, EDM, Finnish polka, rap, hip hop and more). They are at their best live - I see you already have suggestions for their songs 'Road of Resistance' and 'Megitsune'. Both are good places to start (but there are about 70 good places to start with BABYMETAL).🦊
