Moved to the UK from Sweden in 2006 and was VERY surprised at the state of certain things. Love it here but we have some major issues. Actually considering moving back to Sweden with my partner who was born here and our son. For his sake. They both want to leave but I would rather have him grow up where he is from. I Have a decision to make.

Actually the system we have in the Uk is a bodged system by the Labour party. We should have done everything that Churchill wanted but Bevan was frightened of the doctors. So whilst the best health care system in the world is the Churchill system as adopted fully by France we suffer from TOO much private health care, and allowing Hospital doctors to do Private work on NHS hours. NO private system outperforms the NHS in any country unless it is underpinned by systems used in the NHS. However there should NEVER be private companies involved within the healthcare as France proves, their private hospitals are all owned by the state, and have to charge significantly less than NHS hospitals, and health staff working for private companies HAVE to complete their NHS hours BEFORE getting paid less for private work. Simple stuff really. France has THE best health care in the world, and it is the full NHS system Churchill wanted but labour didn't.
Ich komme aus Deutschland. Niemand muss sich hier Sorgen machen, wir haben es genauso gut wie in den nördlichen Ländern Europas. Auch wenn man krank ist, muss man nicht mehr zum Chef gehen und ihm die au geben, er muss sie selbst beim Arzt abholen. Was ich beanstande, ist, dass die Notaufnahmen im Krankenhaus oft zu voll sind, wenn es wirklich ernst wird, aber das ist nicht die Schuld eines Krankenhauses selbst. Es sind eher die Ausländer, die aus dem Nahen Osten kommen, die mit jeder noch so kleinen Erkältung dorthin rennen und die Kapazitäten auffüllen
