I'm a tech in Canada. The way you filmed and explained was excellent, the best part was the little hints ie. the red clip, tools suggested to use, double checking the same part and THE ANGLE required to take the old one out. Excellent guide video, continue with this format. I'll be doing one on a 2011 model thanks!
Thanks ! I have to say I need to work on my next videos to be as detailed as this one . Sometimes when I have people waiting on the car I can’t take that time. Thanks for the kind words I’ll try to keep it up :)
this was very useful thx for the video why on earth any engineer decided to put a often replaced part in such a godforsaken spot i really miss my old chevy
The newer the car the worse it gets ! Glad this was helpful !
They make it too difficult for DIY so you have to take it in to the dealer or autoshop for servicing. Charge you LABOR costs! The part is relatively inexpensive, it's the labor that kills you.
@@oldguardduke you got that right . Places around here charge easily 120 an hour and this job is probably a “3 hour” book Time.
Thank you 🙏🏽
You really helped me out
I just finished mine today from looking at your video and I’m back driving 👍🏾
Great video my friend thanks a lot you definitely have to have that alternator turned exactly the right way to get it through that hole but It worked like a charm Got it fixed my self thanks again.

@@JustFixinGarageyou saved me 300 thats what the shop woulda charged for labor

Great job. Thanks
Thank you buddy.
Any time!
Great video. Very informative.
Informing my ass I need to buck up and pay a professional so I don't mess up my car even worse.
Lol , I like the honesty . Everyone has abilities and some are cars some aren’t . If your unsure better to let someone else do it . A few mistakes on this job can be pretty bad . While I think it’s a simple job myself I have done quite a few alternators so my comfort level is high.
Awesome.!!
Thanks ✌️
Hello, please help me. I need buy new one, this one work with Dodge Journey 2014? TYC 2-11233 Replacement Alternator for Dodge Ram? Thank you so much
I looked up that part number and it says it’s only for the ram .
Did the oil residue on the alternator cause the alternator to prematurely fail?
I am sure it can be a contributing factor for sure ! But I have seen clean ones fail too :)
That is usually one of the problems, for shortening the life of an alternator.
Replaced the alternator, and got a new battery but battery light on dashboard???
The light will be on if your voltage doesn’t get to spec. If you have a voltmeter you should read the voltage at the studs under the hood while car is running . Could be you have a bad connection somewhere even at the battery itself . Or you got a bad reman alternator out of the box. That does happen from time to time .
@@JustFixinGarageokay thank you I’m going give a try
How come you didn’t show draining the coolant out of radiator first
@@chillerkush420 because I didn’t drain the coolant out of the radiator . I lost a little bit of coolant with the hose removal but kept hose elevated to reduce loss . Think I added maybe a quart or less back on . Wasn’t much thanks
Thank you 🙏🏽
