I was so beyond honored to be one of her RNs doing her dialysis treatments a few time in ICU and in dialysis unit. I was moved to tears more than once with her story, challenges and tears of joy with her victories and her attitude. I was blessed to be a part of her care. ❤
@@cliffordsmom2008 K. But what about her financial after-care. Everyone is thrilled to serve as a provider, but then the financial tornado hits and suddenly they’re alone and having to scramble to generate charity to pay their bills. So fine. Be honored. But own your part in contributing to an extremely sick opportunistic system that preys on human fallibility. The system says, if we can keep you alive, the wealthiest shall receive all your funds and more.
I am just in awe of Brie, her husband, and the entire medical teams that cared for her. I pray God will continue to heal and bless Brie and her family.
Brie, you're amazing and so strong. Having a baby and losing your limbs at the same time. It's incredible how well you're doing. I'm a bilateral amputee just 2 years ago. So I understand some of what you're going through. God bless you and your beautiful family.❤🙏🏻
What an opportunity to know Brie … an advocate for herself from the beginning of her multiple struggles. And, she keeps on going for her three boys & her loving hubby‼️❣️‼️Such loving support from the cadre of medical & nursing staffs! Family & neighbors galore there to support & cheer on “Beau & Brie❣️“ Brie, you & your family are on so many prayer lists❣️Keep-on-keepin’- on one-day-at-a-time❣️Much ❤️ love from San Mateo, CA in the San Francisco Bay Area‼️
I had a lucky escape myself last Sunday. I have a couple of diseases that cause damage over a long period of time to nearly all organs. I woke up with dried blood all over my tongue and blood clots around my teeth. I thought I had had bleeding from my stomach or something like that or a blood clot in my lungs as I’ve had two DVTs. The ED took a lot of bloods from me and my phosphate level was 0.29 which is extremely low. My potassium level was also low at 3.1. I could have had a heart attack with these levels! Luckily with replacement of these my levels are back to normal for now. Brie and her family are just fabulous people and I wish them every happiness into the future.
Brie and Reid , I’m sorry you’re going through this , and you’re both an inspiration , an amazing story of love and courage . ( and an amazing medical team ) . God bless you all .
I was going to change it because I didn't want to hear another sad story. However, what a beautiful Couple. How wonderful the amazing help. She thankfully gets to be a M❤M to their boys. God bless you Bree & Reed. I can see he Truly Loves his bride. So many people leave this earth never knowing that special kind of Agape Love. ❤I'm better for it. Luv uBree😊❤
What a wonderful medical team!! How horrific Strep A is, so how do the homeless survive in the dirt, drugs and chaos, and this lady, from a normal background, get sick like this. It is astounding!
My boyfriend, Tristan Stickley, had the exact same thing happen in December 2023 and was at KU also. He had both legs amputated below the knees in January ‘24. He got sick again in June and just had both legs revised to above the knees. DIC and Strep are so scary.
God bless you beautiful lady and May the lord heal or provide a kidney for you. I’m so thankful you are there for your family. Don’t ever forget they need you and the love you have to give.❤️💙🧡💜💚
I had toxiema and high blood pressure with my first son. Had to deliver him at 28 weeks, he was perfect he weighed 3-10 at birth. Within 24 hours he lost down to 2 pounds and stayed there for about two weeks before he gained an ounce. I was sent home when he was a week old and 10 days later my appendix busted at home. Went back to the hospital and admitted me without finding out what was goin on. The next morning I was taken to X-ray and rushed to the OR on spot. I was out of for 4 days woke up briefly with tubes every where. My son is 43 now and has a family of his own. No disabilities at all. Had him at a local hospital and he didn’t have to be sent to any specialty hospital. All he had was oxygen,, tube feeding and IV. My miracle baby for sure. 💙
So many takes! I see the one that to me seems to hit home with me is the marriage and family unit. How strong that was and still. My son married 3 years and his wife separated cuz he wasn’t well it was so trivial I don’t want to say it. I pray that my children find this love and family. They deserve it and most all of us do! That’s my take away the strength of the family. But it’s an ongoing take away. If that makes sense
What a beautiful couple/family! You are a inspiration. God bless you on your journey every inch of the way. May He keep you all in the palm of His hands.
🦉 Blessings to Brie, her devoted husband and the entire family. I pray y’all have years of happiness, love and cherished memories watching your sons grow into adulthood. On another note I am curious if Covid-19 vaccines might have caused Brie’s life changing medical issues as I continue to view videos of alarming concerns from such. 🙏
Have you heard of toxic shock syndrome? The big scary thing that tampon boxes warn of as a very rare but potentially fatal illness? That's not how Brie got it, but it's the most well known cause of TSS so mentioning it in case it sounds familiar. There is a documentary here on UA-cam about an English man named Alex I think, who went through something similar. Same infection, strep A causing toxic shock syndrome. He too almost died and is now a quadruple amputee as well. His story is quite miraculous. It happened long before covid existed and it has nothing to do with covid or vaccines. Hope this helps, and hopefully youtube doesn't hide my comment as it always seems to do lately.
As a person who’s life changed after Covid, I can tell you. I appreciate the healthcare professionals who care about you but the hypocrisy behind it is astounding.
My heart goes out to you all. And God has blessed you with survival. I pray that your health journey continues to become easier and that you have as complete a recovery possible.❤❤❤
So she becomes a double amputee and we say God bless her. He didn't bless her and what more do you need to stop blessing tragedy. This is a brave women that deserved more.
Here’s a question: what was their out of pocket costs, and how much of their children’s college education will now not happen without taking out indentured servant loans because she got sick and because our country doesn’t give a crap about the profound externalities of this failed “market” medical system for the US? Truly. Give us a number. 💶💰🤑. Don’t gaslight us by not talking about the millionaire level of medical costs involved here that they will be paying on forever unless they rely on the charity of others. I mean that’s one of the reasons they are on tv, right? They need money to pay unconscionable levels of debt. They can’t say that. But it’s true. Cover THAT story. Trust me. America can handle the real story.
@@FromAllowed2Aloud sounds like your just the person to raise some funds. I’m in Canada and I think she’s in America. Of course they will need money. Has anyone mentioned what a fantastic man Reed must be?? I didn’t think they were gaslighting,,,,,,just politely sharing their story but yes the news anchors could have asked.
You get medical bills sent to collections and you don’t get anything for free until the government makes sure you can’t afford the costs of medical bills. If you’re undocumented in this country, there is another story. It hurts seeing the true story, especially when you have to see it first hand.
Please try watching again. It’s a wonderful story. The person irritating was a sign language interpreter. Deafness is very isolating and this story may have helped someone. I’m not here to tell you off. Perhaps you didn’t understand. Now that you can I would say this lady is such an inspiration.
I wonder if her husband is attracted to her anymore I would say his not if I was her I would let him go find someone as long as he took care of the kids and I was more independent.
Well fortunately she’s stronger than you , beautiful inside and out , not vain like you ( posing with your makeup puff) , and she has an amazing husband and family who love her more than you’d understand . I feel sorry for you .
I had a severe adverse reaction to a medication & lost mobility for a bit. No doubt I had those thoughts swirling my head & verbalized as much to my husband. He’s extremely intelligent, attractive, active, fit, etc…I was concerned that I would be a burden forever. But I learned that true love is a family bond that will not break and they fall deeper in love watching a fighting spirit getting back to center. It appears you have not, and will likely never find those qualities in a partner. But men like her husband would never endure women like you, bc you are beneath them. Instead, you attract men of similar qualities as your own. It’s quite pitiful, really. But shameful cheapies like you just tend not to experience that kind of love and loyalty.
You have no idea what love is and the marriage vows. I feel sorry for you. These people are glad to have each other. Take a long look at your values. I bet if someone you love had something bad happen you would still love them. Rethink what you have said about Brie....she deserves to have the love and support of her husband..,.
