    There's another solenoid next to the starter (at three right) you forgot to clean, has a mesh built into the gasket,for those still having issues, clean that one also and change the trans filter also

    I did this to my 99 TL. And I also used some Lucas stop slip. That was 3 years ago. I also did the trans fluid change 3X3. I’ve done that only 2 times since then. All in all it’s holding up well. I know I’m on borrowed time but I haven’t put in a new transmission. And at this point I really don’t think I’m going to invest that kind of money. Car has 222 K miles. I bought it with 160. Owned it 5 years now.

    • @Rtario
      @Rtario  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Jayy. It could be lots of things.
      For example. 1. Low on transmission fluid. I would have that check. 2. Some solenoid do go out. 3. I would do a flush if your car just started to give u problems. That might help it out Not saying it might fix your the problem. Good luck & many 🙏.

    Great video!
    I have a 01 CL, same engine, I believe same transmission.
    How to tell if this is Shift B or Shift C solenoid?
    When I make a hard u-turn, and hit the gas, the RPM’s increase but the car doesn’t go.
    I have to wait until the RPM’s go down to 700 before the car starts moving.
    I have no code.

      Honestly Im not an expert on transmissions but from my experience I know it is the shift solenoids. My recommendation is to rebuilt the whole transmission. I'm not sure if your here in California. The reason why is because on craigslist there's this guys that they have this transmission and ready to install. For like $1400 including everything on it. Depending on the tear of your could be cheaper.
