Love the old gospel music from that era. Just can’t get into the modern contemporary Christian music. To take a line from an old rock song, today’s music ain’t got the same soul. Thanks for posting.
when I was a little white kid around 10 or 11 there was a black church right near my house and every time on weekends I would go over to the church and sit next door on porch and listen to this music for hours.thats how I fell in love with this and r n b group harmony.and soul.before that I was buying rosemary clooney and perry Como and stuff like that.thank god for black people's music.at 72 i,m still a fanatic.i hope I live to be 00 so I can keep listening.
My cousin Sharon took me to see The Soul Stirrers at Irving Elemantary School Auditorium in Riverside California in 1970. I was a teen fresh out of high school and very much into the music of the day, but I will never forget that show! I am still partial to the Quartets (not much of a mass choir person). I was overjoyed later in life to find that so many of my favorite singers had passed through this group.

i am not a christian i am a Israelite and i believe most black are they just don't know it yet but they will, but i love the old gospel groups they were just amazing thank for the music
You're not a Christian, but an "Israelite?" You believe most blacks are? Sir, first of all, anyone who believes in this religious nonsense has some serious mental issues. Secondly, work on your English before commenting on your beliefs. I'm "sick and tired" of Bible thumpers preaching to everyone and can't master third grade writing skills, much less comprehension. Bruh, you have taken the religion your slave master, but you are too dumb to realize it. .
I love love this old gospel r n b music.really do.but don't like the newer gospel much.thanx for this post love it.
