Powerful voice Paul Foster's got!!
I grew up on this music, I’m a huge Soul Stirrers fan and of course MR. SAM COOKE👏🏾😍!
What?!? Only 928 LIKES??? How is that possible? Even if you only have a faint heartbeat this is gonna’ bring you to your feet! Much respect & appreciation.
AMEN!!!!!
Paul foster Was a beast on the mic I see jimmy outler in the background
Yes he was... when Sam Cooke came on board, the song nearer to the live, Paul was about to take the lead. Powerful singer.
@@Ckillen2422 He's fantastic. He can raise the roof.
@@Ckillen2422Paul was pushing Sam, acting like the wind in his back! 😂❤
This is precious footage, thanks for uploading.
Jimmy outler had a beautiful voice, all of them❤❤❤
What happened to this beautiful, pure music? I wish we would go back to this, just good singing, hand clapping, and simple instruments, and singers that don't scale the whole piano with every single verse.
Good singing? It's fantastic! The syncopation alone! Paul Foster is a marvel.
When people lost the anointing in the singing and playing even just the clapping they had to find something to replace that. As we see today where most gospel and churches are at there is no substitution for the real presence of God.
This is the music we ALL NEED TO go back to listening to because their hearts and souls were ALL ABOUT PRAISING GOD and HIS RULES TO GET TO HEAVEN❣️
I TOTALLY LOVE THE SOUL STIRRERS AND ALL OF THE OLD SCHOOL GOSPEL MUSIC 🎶
They are really good . thank god.
Yayyyyyyyyy l❤ my ole gospel❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
THERES TOO MUCH ENTERTAINMENT AND NOT TRUE PRAISING.
I love it and I listen to vintage gospel almost exclusively. That's singing!
Powerful enough to make a convert of the greatest doubter.
Thank you Lord for the old songs.
Hallelujah lord
As much as I love gospel music on a sunday morning, that is some proper guitar playing
Great music and a greater message!
This absolutely mind blowing incredible, they need to start bringing all this music gospel blues back and into peoples lives for healing especially what’s going on on the earth these days..what voices what delivery & just check out the dude on the es-335 that’s one of the best sounding gibsons I’ve ever heard, the tone and the feel…seriously it’s real goes straight to the soul…
R.i.p. Paul Foster 1920-1995
The One and Only Rev. Big Paul Foster!
I love to hear and see these guys sing and preform on stage. J.G. Amen.
Awesome. Thanks for uploading and reminding our new generation of our history through Jesus Christ. Praises to YHWH Most High!
Woah! This knocks my socks off!
Beautiful, talented up lifting sounds amazing.
You can hear where 60s soul came out of - and why it was called ‘soul’.
Amen.
4 real 🙏🏿
How beautifully said Matera's observation about this music as so powerful no matter what we believe. It's so inspiring!
Just awesome god bless powerful Singer 🙏
This stuff has the power to put a smile on any living creature- independently from your religious beliefs
I agree 100% as I am not remotely religious but love this type of gospel it has so much soul.
Yeah Lord , travel on pilgrims 🥲✝️🙏🎶 singing on the way
Everyone always puts that disclaimer about regardless of your religion. This music is doused in the blood of Christ. Like it or not.
@@DerekCastleSr. Yes!! If this music doesn't bring you closer to the Lord Almighty and his son Jesus Christ there is something wrong with you!!
Yessuh!
AMEN 🙏💯💯💯💜 GOD'S CONTINUOUS LOVE AND BLESSINGS, AMEN 🙏🙏 BEFORE I WAS BORN, AMEN 🙏 MY GRANDPARENTS, MOTHER, AUNTIE'S, UNCLE'S LISTENING AND SINGING TO THIS DURING MY CHILDHOOD, AMEN 🙏🙏🙏💜💜💜
LISTEN TO THE ANGELS SING!! JIMMY OUTLER!❤✔
And Richard Gibbs the baritone in the middle was Inez Andrews husband
The power of stomping your feet and clapping your hands. There’s nothing better than it!
always tells a good story
Truly a blessing...my first time!
OMG !!! All I can say is OMG!!!
I Remember When They Added The Bass Guitar, The Drums And The Keyboard. Also When They Changed Their Wardrobe. I Loved Thst Pute Quartet Singing ❤️
fine music authentic
Looking at this rare footage of the only gospel quartet group in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame; that Sam Cooke with the Soul Stirrers was never filmed? Unbelievable!
Woah, it's the whole show - thanks for uploading! Now all we need is to find at least ONE video of Sam with the group (None on UA-cam as of this writing). There's got to be a film cannister in Chicago or LA buried down in some basement.
I've been looking for that for years
@@idrawstudios87 I spent a few hours in the Recorded Sound Research Center at the Library of Congress a few years ago, but had no such luck. They could very well have something, but a ton of their stuff is sitting in a bomb-proof facility in VA; items are poorly-labeled and only get digitized upon request, so, needle in a haystack.
There are whispers of a guy in Chicago who has a trove of old Gospel videos, but refuses to digitize them for personal reasons. That seems like the best shot.
I do know this was after Sam Cooke left the group I don't recall ever seeing a video I've looked for years and all I found was a two live audios recordings
Ive got many footages of Sam, message me I’ll we transfer them
@@AdelChamsdine please share
Glory hallelujah praise Jesus Christ! Wonderful!!!!!
AMEN 🙏💯🙏🙏🙏 HALLELUJAH!! PRAISE GOD 🙏🙏🙏💜💜💜💜
WALTER SLOAN JR. I REALLY LIKE THIS GROUP AND THE WAY THEY SING.
Beautiful culture.. Powerful!!
One of my favorites. I still have the 45 single of this on Sam Cooke's SAR label.
Mr. Farley had a great and deep voice. Wonderful Bass Singer.
J.J. Farley sang bass for the Soul Stirrers.
@@user-ys4bd6uq7z I thought that deep voice was a baritone.Forgive Me on the nuances of vocals.
Is that the gentleman with the cane?
@MissPamR Yes, that was the late and Great Jesse James Farley.
@@jackpalance9509no J.J. Farley was definitely a bass, he could get real deep.
JIMMY OUTLER!!❤❤😂😂😂✔😮😢 LISTEN TO THE ANGEL'S SING BEAUTIFUL!!
Thanks to this group for making me happy anytime I listen to their music. I will keep loving the group and every member of the group.
May God bless the body that brought this to our view.
May the name of Christ Jesus be glorified for ever more. Amen
Omo ilu mi! God bless you. If you do not mind, I"ll adopt your comment as mine. God bless.
“He’ll understand”
Last Thanksgiving, we started a new tradition of singing old hymns at the table. Try it with your family. ❤
Thank you so much for sharing! God bless you and your family!! If this doesn’t Getcha tappin your toe and clapping your hands- turn it up!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🎶🎶🎶
thats sanging
Marvelous
My late Mother always referred to Paul Foster as , 'Big ' Paul Foster. I prefer to call him the 'Human Singing Machine!'
I'd take this any day over the ridiculous crap they call pop music nowadays
Love Jimmy Outler too….
And when they hooked up with Sam Cooke it was gospel magic.
Paul Foster and Jimmie Outler ARE gospel music. They were bad dudes before AND after Sam Cooke.
This is great history and do y’all have something of The Swan Silvertones
Old time music is the best
Woo! The full set! Thank you!!
Crume is killing that guitar on I'm a soldier
Mr Leroy
He is fabulous. What gorgeous rhythm and tone. And the last arpeggio - sublime!
And an underrated first tenor
Mr. Paul Foster could sing the paint off the wall!
Thank you!
Love it!
Yesssss
❤️
Good God Almighty!!!!
🙏🏿💐🙏🏿💐🙏🏿
Now this is music .. I grew up on this and grandmas song listening list
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The percussionist on the bass guitar or is it a cello ...awesome behind the scene
At this point the Soul Stirrers would be Artists on Sam Cooke's SAR Records label. Incredibly beautiful and powerful old time Gospel music. ❤️
🙏🏾🙏🏾💕
☺️👌
I’m a soldier @ 8:00
@ReelinInTheYears66 Did you guys acquire the rights to all the TV Gospel Time footage? Any plans for a DVD box set? So much amazing footage from this show!
Sam Cooke and David Ruffin and ALL of the original temptations started in the church
But THESE BROTHERS ARE MORE ANNOINTED THAN THEM. Because there singing for THE LORD JESUS AMEM
CORRECTION 🤔Sam Cooke WAS one of them and greatly appreciated and anointed too😘🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Naw sam cooke david ruffin & the original just went to secular music they were anointed too they were the vouces
Naw Sam Cooke David Ruffin & the original were anointed too they were the voices they just left gospel music & went too secular music
I wonder if the general public is aware of 😊
I sing with the new man of faith of Savannah Georgia and God knows we try to do some of the same old songs that you hear now and I'll listen to this I think we'll do even more we need to bring back that good old religion

Is That Paul Foster Lead Singer?
Yes
That’s gotta be Laurence Fishburne’s uncle or something playing guitar!
Grown folks
Does anyone know why J.J. Farley is using a cane and why he's not present on the previous songs on this clip?
What’s the name of the last song
Listen to the angels
They don't sing. Like this anymore
u HAVE to listen to the last song at 0.75 speed
Grown folks stuff
Man Im Sorry. Jimmy Outler Was Better At Doing Sam Cooke Than Sam Cooke Was.
I don’t know about that
I Definitely KNOW that's Not True.
No Offense But Only Women Disagree. Take The Looks Away & Jimmy Had The Same Sound With More Power.
